What Are You Celebrating?? Air Conditioning!! A July 2010 TR UPDATE 12/11 p24

Looks like you found a great way to weather the blizzard today - finishing up a trip report with lots of WARM memories!! Thanks for sharing your vacation with all of us!

I have the same brown Mickey D&B bag - maybe we'll fun into each other some day around Maplewood Mall or at Target Field :)

DH and I are headed to WDW tomorrow for an Anniversary trip. Hoping Delta doesn't cancel our 7am flight!
Ain't that the truth! I've been baking Christmas cookies too!
If I see anyone with that bag, I'm going right up and asking if she's a DISer!!
I hope you have good luck getting out of here!! Have a great trip!

What a great report!
Have a wonderful holiday :goodvibes

Thank you! I hope you have a great one too!

We're getting hit hard too with this blizzard in the sw corner of the state. Yuck!

Great ending Sheree. :) Glad you all survived the heat. Your next trip sounds really great. I love that it will be a surprise for the girls! :) What a good mom you are!

Playing mini-golf is always a traditional beach activity for us, too!

Great trip report, Sheree! Thanks for sharing it all with us! Can't wait to hear all about your March trip when you return -- all of your ADR choices look great! We :lovestruc Boma!

What a wonderful trip. You did so much! So sad to see it end, but March is right around the corner

Awesome TR. Again, thanks for sharing! :goodvibes I enjoyed every minute of it!

Now, you've got to share your secrets with me on how to survive Florida in the summer!! ::yes:: We are seriously considering late August 2011. :scared1:

Tell me everything!!!

Awesome TR ! Loved all the photos! The Cocoa Beach side trip looked very appealing, I love the beach and ocean air !

Vero Beach also looks beautiful.

Your upcoming trip sounds fantastic, :lovestruc AKL !

Great report, Sheree! Thanks for sharing! :cool1:

It is great to see all the warm, sunny pictures of people in shorts. :)

Can't wait to hear about the trip in March...although I do wish you were coming to Europe! :goodvibes

Thanks! I hope you're surviving all this crazy weather!
The heat was rough, but not as bad as I had expected or planned for. Thankfully. I just went into it assuming it would be miserable, so it seemed better!
I've never surprised them with a whole trip before. Technically, this is part of a trip, but as of now, they don't know about any of it. We just keep saying, oh, we'll do something!

Great TR Sheree! I've enjoyed every minute of it! Can't wait for the next one!
Thank you! Come find me in Late March/April for sure for the next one!!

we just don't have very many mini-golf places around here anymore. It's odd, because we have TONS of regular golf courses. I'm starting to get crazy excited about our trip - less than 3 months away now! After Christmas I'm going to be really . I'm very excited about going back to Boma!

What a wonderful trip. You did so much! So sad to see it end, but March is right around the corner
:thanks: We really enjoyed it - I was just so relaxed and it made it feel like a real vacation, where you just don't think about home and work and the stress just left my neck (where it typically resides full time). We are under 90 days now!!! I could even take a few more off, because we are leaving 4 or 5 days before we actually get to Disney, but my ticker is for when we arrive at WDW.

Awesome TR. Again, thanks for sharing! :goodvibes I enjoyed every minute of it!

Thank you Shelly! Here's a few tips: alternate going in A/C attractions/rides/stores every couple of rides. There's lots of good places at MK. Get water at CS for free. Walk slowly. Go to the parks early (EMH is great) and leave before noon. Go to the pool and come back to the park at dinnertime. Lots of sunblock! For you - put your hair up! Off your neck will keep you cooler. Epcot is the hardest - There's not as much shade. They do have some misters around FW. The WS shops are good - keep going in and out. Tank tops. Sunglasses. Just slowing everything down helped a lot!

Why thank you! I might just be turning into a beach lover after that trip! I always enjoyed the beach, but living in MN, there's not exactly a lot of ocean beaches around here! Lake beaches are not the same! Got to have that ocean air!! I'm really excited about having more AKL time. We are going to explore a couple other DVC resorts too - OKW and SSR are planned for a visit on our first afternoon, since we assume our room won't be ready at noon!

Great report, Sheree! Thanks for sharing! :cool1:

Thank you and you are very welcome! It was a lot of fun. I sure wish I was coming to Europe in March too! I have to really work hard at saving money this year. That's my New Year's resolution. Be more fiscally responsible and save for the trip. Do you expect to be there still in March 2012? That's our tentative plan now. Maybe we could meet at DLP???

I've said it before, but I'll say it again (It's my TR and I can do that!). The DIS is amazing. I really discovered the DISboards in 2007 or 2008, thanks to a friend of mine. She's not a member, but said, there's good info there. I'd been to Disney a few times by then, but didn't feel like I knew it well.
So I came over and just read and lurked for a while. Finally I had a trip booked for January 2009 and found others that were going had started a thread (thanks Shelly!). I have made so many friends here, mostly because of the Snowbirds January 2009 gang and a bazillion TRs that I have read. I really want to thank everyone for all the great information, tips, stories...Without you and the DIS, I don't know that I would have had such wonderful trips with my family. Who knows? I may not have had a great trip the first time, and wouldn't have gone back. Just think of what we could have been missing!

I love sharing my trips with all of you, and love sharing yours as well. I really feel like I know your families, and am right there with you sometimes!! It is truly a blessing to have this common bond that helps us all and makes our obsession seem normal!

I may or may not do a real PTR, so I might consider just yapping some more on this thread if it stays open. But I'll be in Snowbird chat as well!

Again - Thank you all! And Happy Holidays! (It's only 9 days until Christmas!!!):santa:

Thanks for a great TR Sheree!!!!! I hope you consider doing a PTR I would defnitely love to follow along!!!

Happy Holidays to you!!!

Sheree, I'm glad we "met" each other here. The Dis is priceless. :)

I'd love tips about driving to WDW from MN. We're contemplating it for our October trip. Paying for six airline tickets is outrageous!

Kelli - I'll have more driving tips - we'll do it again!

:scared1::scared1::scared1::eek::eek::eek: SCREEEEEEEEAAAMM!!!!

OMG OMG OMG!!!!!!!!

I am FLIPPING OUT!! We just booked a three day cruise on the DREAM leaving on 3/10/11!!! Now we are leaving a day earlier and skipping my SIL's house to cruise!!! THis was completely un planned! DH was looking at it before - no rooms available. Now a Category 4 Deluxe Family Oceanview with Verandah shows up and we just talked for 5 minutes and BOOKED IT!!! I may puke!
Now we're considering adding a night with borrowed points for Sunday at AKLV because we get off the ship on Sunday and only have a room for Monday.
MORE PLANNING!! My head may start spinning off of my body!

Still not telling the girls. We may have officially lost our minds. The budget just went out the window. I will be eating Ramen in the dark for the next year.

Please pray for me and my DH and our sanity!!!

:rotfl2: Sanity doesn't exist when it comes to DISNEY :lmao:

Sad to see your trip report is over. But nothing cures the Disney blues like another trip to plan.:woohoo:

WOO-HOO!!!

That is exciting news about the cruise!

What are the ports on the Dream?

There are cruise threads/forums on DIS, right? I have used the cruise critic website in the past for info and there is of course, Teena, when she gets back from her 11 day holiday cruise.

Thank you for making me feel less insane. That's what I love about the boards. Lots of similar minds!

The Dream is taking over for the Wonder, and will do three and four day cruises to Nassau (Been there, done that. Not getting off the ship!) and Castaway Cay. I just started reading about the dining places and all the different stuff on the ship.
I did find the cruise meet on the DIS boards and joined the group. We are going to do a Fish extender exchange again. I guess they will have a different little thing by the door (not a fish), but whatever it is called, that's what we're doing. I have to make a hanging pocket thing now. Without the kids knowing. Should be interesting!

After Christmas I'll kick the planning into high gear, and make my lists etc. I did make a dinner reservation for Palo, one of two adult only restaurants, which we've never done. I hope it works out. I don't know that I want to miss dinner in one of the dining rooms though. So I may reschedule that. Plus, we don't know the shows on board yet or what time we would eat dinner. It's a bit overwhelming.

I will keep you all posted and may just start a PTR after Christmas. I might need it to get organized and get help planning!

Wow this is the happiest ending of a TR I've ever seen! Congrats on booking the cruise!!!!!!

:lmao: :rotfl:  Oh Sheree, my friend - you are too much!!!

I really did LAugh Out Loud when I read this!!! I LOVE it!!! :thumbsup2 Somehow I knew that when I read about you watching the Wonder leaving port that you would see another cruise in your future!!! :goodvibes

You and Dave are the Ultimate Disney couple - so much fun!!! I am slightly envious that your wonderful hubby shares your love of Disney so much like that! Mine enjoys it while we are there but doesn't eat, sleep and dream disney like Dave does - you two are so perfectly matched!!!

Paigey and Sarah are going to flip over the moon when you tell them about the trip!!! Make sure you record "the reveal" to show us here!!! Can't wait to see their reactions!!!

Loved this TR - gives me so much hope that we will not melt in August! We too will be celebrating some lovely air conditioning!!! :lmao: Us northerners just were not meant to be in heat that like for extended periods of time! :rolleyes1

Hope you, Dave and the girls have a fabulous Christmas!!!

How awesome! I have done some research ehre and there too on the Dream as we may do that instead of Disney in March. Still undecided right now. I think the Villians show is one of the shows on the Dream. Check out the Dis crusie section, every so often I hop over there and they talk about the latest news on the dream
