What Are They Dooing by the Contemporary

I was at Disney recently for my 13th time and we passed by the Contemporary Hotel and saw a lot of construction happening over there. Are they building new rooms? Just curious.

I believe it's construction on Vacation Club villas.

Even though nothing has officially been annouced by WDW, the general belief is that the building being built where the North Garden Wing rooms use to be will be a Disney Vacation Club building.

I was told last week by 3 different CM's it is a fifteen story building that will be DVC. It will be attached by a walk way to the main building at the Contemporary. This has not been officially announced to DVC members.

When I was there this past August a Cast Member who in the past told me about the new arcade location on the 4th floor before it was announced and when everyone was in the I will believe it when I read about it phase, told me that 100% it's going to be a DVC building. Of course I know that it's not an official announcement, but this Cast Member was right about these types of things in the past so I am choosing to believe her again.

Our tour guide said it was definitely DVC...he said even though it has not been officially announced, it's the worst kept secret in the World! I had heard that many months ago, plus what others here have heard/said, I would wager on him being right!

You will notice I did not mention the name of the guide nor the tour...and that's why.

If he him or any other Cast Members who said it would be a DVC building like the example I gave, why would they tell us that and risk their jobs when they are not allowed?

I don't think that this is a secret that WDW is especially worried about being leaked. I've been told by a Disney Imagineer that it's absolutely DVC and that it's supposed to be REALLY nice

That's true because it's kind of hard to call it a secrert when there is a huge construction project going on where the North Garden Wing building use to be.
