Not sure this is the right forum, but...

We're taking our 2 & 9 y.o. great nieces to the World next Feb. The 2 y.o. absolutely adores Sofia the First, so we made an ADR for the Disney Jr. Play and Dine breakfast at Hollywood and Vine while we're there. But now I see that Sofia the First (tv show) has ended, and I'm worried she won't be part of the breakfast in early Feb. We've never been big on character dining before so I've never paid any attention to the way Disney rotates characters in and out, or if there's even any consistency to how they do it. Does anyone have any ideas about this? I'd really hate to get her hopes up & have her disappointed.

As of now she's still there, but they've been known to change characters on short notice (Recently replaced Jake with Vampirina and Handy Manny with Roadster Racer Goofy). To be safe, I'd probably not mention to her that Sofia will be there until the last minute when you know for sure if she will be.

I would not tell her at all. Imagine she does not know, then the look on her face when she sees her will be priceless. And if she is not there, she will not be disappointed.

I wouldn’t mention anything about Sofia to her, just in case. There’s a chance she’ll still be there - Jake and Handy Manny were there for a long time (years) after those shows were cancelled.

You just never know, though.

It's already been mentioned. That's kinda why I'm worried - she's not one to forget...
We also have the princess breakfast at Akershus scheduled. Hopefully if Sofia isn't there that will make her happy. I was just hoping Disney had some sort of standard practice for this so if we find out there's no Sofia we'll have time to get her excited about other things to soften the blow.

You can meet Sofia near the Disney Jr show without having to worry about a dining reservation. I guess Disney could change anything at anytime but they are generally slow to do so from a character perspective I wouldn't sweat it. As FYI they kept Handy Manny meeting at Hollywood and Vine for YEARS after it was cancelled.
