What are my chances for Early June?

Way back in August I rented points from a coworker and they were able to get BWV for Mid March without any problems. Bought plane tickets the day them came available. ADRs the day they came available. The whole works as soon as I could do it. Got the countdown under 90 and all was good. AJ squared away and ready to go to WDW over spring break.

Then the rumors of SIL and BIL and kids going in June, their 1st trip. Neighbors down the street are going the same exact days, May 30th - June 9. So we start thinking about it and after 3 weeks SIL confirms they are going. Meanwhile DW has a new job and with her her new duties, March may no longer be the best time for her to leave on vacation.

So now all points are leading to an early June trip. My coworker is out of town, at BWV of all places, and won't be able to make the reservation change until she gets back next week. It's killing me that I was ahead of the game for so long, and now I'm behind and not likely to catch up. I spent all the time planning, picking and getting the resort we wanted and now I am thinking there is no way we get into it at only 4 months out.

What are the chances, if any, of getting BWV or BCV at this late of date? At this point I would take a split stay at one of those 2 and the remainder wherever. AKL? VWL? Any chance at either of those?

I'd also feel better if SouthWest hadn't raised all their tickets $20-40 today in the middle of my searches no less. Grrr.... At least I was already paying for overpriced spring break tickets, so right now it is only $90 difference. Although this morning it was a credit.

Thanks for letting me vent. No matter how it turns out, it will be good to go back home.

I think your chances are quite good to get at least a few nights at BWV for your dates. But availability after 7 months is usually quite spotty, even for the first weeks of June. It will depend on what size villa you need - studios & 2 bedrooms will be the most limited and 1 bedrooms the most available. You'd probably be able to stay the entire time in one villa at AKV, OKW or SSR in most size except the Grand Villas.

Truthfully, you never really know until it's actually time to reserve. Good luck and I'm sure you'll be able to work something out. If it were me, I'd book airfare as soon as I saw a price I could live with.

11 days at Kidani with a Savannah view came up as an option. After looking at the VWL pictures, DW and DD wanted to try there too. Only available for days 2-5, so we have a day at BCV, 4 at VWL and the last 6 at AKL.

Originally we were arriving after midnight on day one, so I didn't care where we were staying the first night. I managed to snag an earlier flight, so now we will almost the whole day at the BCV on day one and use as much of it as we can on day 2. We've also wait listed the 4 VWL days for the BCV, so maybe we get lucky.

I am in a much better place than I was last Friday.

It does serve as a reminder to reserve everything as soon as possible.

I am glad you got something!:)
