What apple pie?!?!

I can't believe what I did.

My husband and daughter wanted apple pie for dessert tonight, so I pre-heated the oven to 400 degrees. When the timer went off, I set the oven clock for 60 minutes.

One hour later, the timer went off, and my husband and daughter practically knocked each other over getting to the kitchen for some apple pie.

They found me in the kitchen laughing hysterically. When the timer went off, I had gone to the kitchen and opened the oven to take the pie out. But, THERE WAS NO PIE IN THE OVEN. I had forgotten to take the apple pie out of the freezer and put it in the oven!

Wow, just wow! I had cooked gingerbread earlier for myself because I don't like apple pie, so nobody thought it odd that there was no apple pie smell in the air.

So, NOW the pie is cooking and it'll be ready in an hour!

Last week I was at DBs apartment while he was at school late one night. I decided to order myself some dinner, and they said it would be 45 minutes or so. 20 minutes later, my phone rings. I don't answer calls I don't know, so I ignored it. They called 3 times and I finally thought, "Who IS this person??" and answered. It was the delivery guy! (They have to call because the building is locked).

So I run down to pay the poor guy, trip down the last 3 stairs - and look up to see the delivery guy standing outside laughing at me!

I think we were even - it was pouring rain outside
