What airline do you fly on?

Jet Blue is my fav! Bags are free on there too. They have slightly bigger seats than Southwest and....they have personal tvs, which make the flight so much easier with kids. cheap too!

Generally we fly JetBlue or Delta, but as our flight isn't very long, I'm open to any airline with a good price and convenient flight times.

Southwest.

If we lived somewhere with Jet Blue, we'd use them as well. If I lived somewhere with Spirit and was traveling solo, I'd also consider them (too many delays to fly Spirit with kids in tow).

Although, I do have to mention we drive to WDW 95% of the time. :)

Southwest for us too!

Here are my reasons:
1. Cheapest non stop flights
2. Bags fly free
3. If you find the price cheaper they credit you
4. You can change your flight up to one day in advance with no penalty

Whatever's cheapest!

From Nashville, I often find it to be Southwest, which is an added bonus b/c so many of their flights are direct to MCO. They also let you rebook your reservation if the fares drop after you purchase. You generally only get a credit that has to be used within one year of your original booking date, but if you fly enough, it shouldn't be any problem using it.

For an October trip, however, I found a Delta fare that was $80/ticket cheaper than the then cheapest Southwest fare (which wasn't event direct). Not looking forward to flying through Atlanta, though.

AA currently have about 146000 FFM's

PS,,,shouldnt the OP be on the "transportation" part of this forum?

We've done JetBlue almost exclusively for several years now. The TVs keep the kids occupied, and they always seem to release fares for our trips just before Southwest.

We do have a choice of two airports though, and Southwest files out of the slightly more convenient one, so we did take it a couple of times.

US Airways will not get my business again if it can be helped. Customer Service doesn't exist beyond recorded messages and computer printouts saying "sorry". A human won't speak to you.

I wish Southwest flew out of our airport! I have to drive 2 hours to fly them. We use AirTran, because they're the cheapest, most reliable non-stop flight from our airport to MCO. The bag fees suck, though

Since Southwest has AirTran now, I think the bag fees will be going away!! (eventually....) :cool1:

Southwest for us too!

Even though there's no penalty, you still have to pay the difference between the fare you paid and what's available -- and if you wait to the last minute, that's the nonrefundable rate which is often 2-3 times more expensive than what you probably originally booked as a wanna get away fare. For a family of 5, that get's pretty steep for me.

But certainly, it is nice S/W does not rub salt in the wound by charging a "change fee" on top of that.

Jet Blue is our absolutely favorite and we fly with them as much as possible. However often their airfare is not affordable especially for a last minute booking. In that case we default to AirTran or Southwest.

I tend to avoid the legacy carriers at all costs.

We fly allegiant whenever possible, I'd rather pay for my bag if I have one (which is rare) and keep my $10 fares anyday.

price & flight time are my prime considerations. For example, my August trip - I am looking at Southwest down to Orlando with a $99 early morning flight and Delta back to CT with a $99 late evening flight, both non-stop. Since it'll be just me (DD meeting me at WDW), I can easily fly with just carry-ons so as not to pay a baggage fee on Delta and will have the added perk of FORCING me not to buy too many souveniers!!!

Yes, the bag fees on AirTran will be a thing of the past now that SWA owns AirTran.

Also, SWA will be flying from many more cities, including Atlanta, in the next 18 to 24 months.

We usually fly USAir or Southwest if I can get a cheap flight. Lately they have been higher than USAir. I don't like flying AirTran, had a bad experience with them. I may give them a try next time because of the merge with Southwest. Hopefully they will have no baggage fees.

from the Baltimore/DC megatropolis, it is usually a toss up between JetBlue, Southwest, and Airtran. Jetblue is the preferred choice from Dulles to MCO due to:
1. One free checked bag (w/a famz of four, there has never been a need for one of us to check more than one bag).
2. Competitively low rates.
3. Most non-stop flight options (we can be in the World by noon and out (sob!) as late at 3pm for an 8:30pm flight)
4. Crews and staff are friendly and helpful.
5. Individual TV monitors for each seat... even though it's only a 2.5-3 hour flight.
6. Outbound baggage participation to airport for Magical Express.
7. Not that it is likely nowadays, but Jetblue will credit/voucher the cost difference if a ticket price drops between time of purchase and flight. DF made about $75 a coupla years ago unsolicited; a rebate check showed up in the mail.

To Disney, we fly Southwest, b/c it's the only direct flight! :-( We do fly USAir when possible, b/c dh is a gold member, so we don't pay baggage fee's. I just looked at Jet Blue-wish they had more direct flights out of Pittsburgh! I wonder if they are exanding at all?
