What airline do you fly on?

We have flown on both AirTran and Delta from ATL to MCO. Usually, I fly Delta on business.

Jet Blue or Southwest. I'll pay a little bit extra to fly Jet Blue for the personal tv's, but if it's more than $15 per person, then I'll fly southwest. Also, I don't know if southwest is available for baggage check at all Disney resorts yet? I know they have been rolling it out over the last couple of years, but the transportation board should have the most updated information about that.

Im thinking Southwest because bags fly free. :thumbsup2:confused3

I fly the airline that has a direct flight and the least expensive offer (so I calculate the flight plus the bag fees to come up with the 'cheapest' fare). I will also fly one airline to MCO and a different one back if that's the cheapest route as well.

If all airlines were equal, I would choose Southwest because I can get a credit if the flight price goes down. We did that last year and ended up with a $60 each for our family of four. I used that $240 for our flights this year (you have to use them within a year though) and that helped with this year's budget!

Out of Chicago, Midway is just as far for us as O'Hare and the flights generally run more on time out of Midway due to many fewer flights.

Even before allowing for the check bag fee, Southwest is cheaper. Also, I decided to change my flight about 3 weeks out and since the alternative flight was the same airfare as my original flight, it cost me $0.

I would love to try Jet Blue, but I would have to connect through JFK and make the trip from 2.5 hours direct on Southwest to 6 hours connecting on Jet Blue. I'll take the 2.5 hours direct.

I always fly AirTran because it's always the cheapest, non-stop flight to Orlando from my airport. Not a fan of the bag fees, but they have always been on time and very reliable for all of my flights.

I've done both JetBlue and Southwest and I like them just the same. Southwest is a lot more efficient and the flights are just great. They have the best staff there. They just don't have a lot to do on flight. JetBlue has a lot more to keep you occupied during the flights, but the seats are a bit tighter and the staff isn't that great and they are not efficient at all (sometimes the TVs don't work) I'd probably be flying Southwest again since I have my own entertainment and don't need TVs. So Southwest I would say would be my primary transportation to WDW (though I'm going to miss checking the map to see how far away we were).

I always flight southwest but I just purchased airfare from Airtran because it was $40 cheaper than SW. So even with baggage fees, I still saved money :)

We're about halfway between Milwaukee and O'Hare. When I booked our flights last October on Airtran out of Milwaukee it was half the price of the cheapest flight I could find on any airline out of O'Hare.

DebbieB, you are right on! AirTran has always been cheaper than Southwest even with the bag fees IF you book early enough. We have always had non-stop flights out of Milwaukee to MCO on AirTran for less than Southwest offers.

I'm sorry to see Southwest take over AirTran because of the lack of competition in Milwaukee again. We used to fly Midwest until they got taken over by Frontier and the prices went up or you have to fly to Denver to get to MCO.

Southwest makes you wait forever to book flights and they are usually about $100 more than we've been paying on AirTran. Not to mention the flight times are much better on AirTran than Southwest offers.

And with AirTran if you paid the additional $49 dollars to upgrade to business class on check-in it included two bags and a refund on your current seat charge. And, yes, I'm including all of these charges when I say that AirTran is about $100 less than Southwest. I do realize this may not be the case for different locations.

AirTran. We booked our flight through Disney and it is much cheaper then SW even with having to pay for our bags.

We fly out of a small airport that is about 10 minutes from where we live. They really only have Southwest in and out of there (I think small chartered USAir are the only airlines that use the airport). Between the short distance to the airport and the prices Southwest has, that is what we fly. It's nice to land at 7:45 at night and be home by 8:15. We have also had great crews on the flights we have taken, they seem more laid-back than other airlines I have traveled with.

I would love to fly JetBlue more but it could take 45mins to 90 mins each way to get to the closest airport they fly out of, parking is more expensive and to arrange shuttle service to and from is more expensive than where we fly out of.

delta is the only non-stop from cvg :headache:

it normally ends up being the cheapest from cvg... though nothing is cheap from cvg---grrrrr.

wish we had southwest or jetblue :(

We have always flown Airtran to MCO, because they have the cheapest, non-stop flights to Orlando, all things considered. We usually try to fly out of a smaller city airport near us, because we have a much shorter drive and don't have to pay anything for long-term parking at the airport. Their bag fees do irritate me, though. (I try to pack the minimum so we don't have to check more than one or two bags and take along my laundry supplies!)

While the bag fees may go away now that Southwest owns Airtran, I'm also worried that the ability to choose your seat assignment when you make your reservation will go away. Southwest is almost always overbooked whenever I've flown with them elsewhere, and I always feel like a canned sardine. With Airtran, I really like choosing where we'll be sitting and knowing in advance that we'll be sitting together.

We fly airtran and have for every trip to the world , one time however we flew Delta and I Will NEVER fly them again the trip down and back was a nightmare . We come out of upstate ny so airtran flights are usually the cheapest and they offer nonstop! Baggage fees well I have become one of those people thats holds up you sitting down when boarding so I can roll my case on and stow in the overhead. One time down to Disney and lost luggage was enough for me !

When we fly to Florida we always fly Southwest out of Providence. They have the cheapest non stop flights, plus it's only $8.00 to leave your car.

Jet Blue.

Decent prices.
Free bag.
No issues with time changes after they release the flights.
Reserved seats so no stress about checking in 24 hours before and hoping to sit together.
TVs for each seat.
Got a credit to my Jet Blue bank when I caught a price drop.;)
Direct flights from BOS to MCO.
Great customer service.

Whatever's cheapest!

Me too and I never check a bag but usually our trips are just 3-4 nights and when we go to Disney it's going to be 5 nights so I *may* check a bag this time.

We are going to Mexico in December and just booked our flights with Frontier. I've never even heard of it before but it was the best price. When I went to Europe I flew with Iberia, which I had never heard of before either, same with EasyJet once we got there. Both, were like the Aldi's of airlines but who cares! I'd much rather spend the money I save on flights on doing stuff once I've arrived at my vacation destination :goodvibes

Allegiant is very affordable out of Greensboro. We don't check bags for a week's stay. Under 1.5 hours and we're in Sanford, which I love flying into...but no Magical Express . We like to rent a car any way!
