What a wonderful day at TDS Saturday morning!

Life is so good when they have a full shipment of pins +!
For the first time in forever, I was actually #1 in line. (About fell over.)
AND the store was allowing much more than the 2 pp limit on the Walt locket!
I had to get a few extras for trades already set up -- so Zip A Dee Do Dah! One stop shopping and I am back home already. And it's not even 7:30!

Just got back from my store. I was about 15th in line and they had run out of the Mickey thru the Mirror Pin And I got the last Peter Pan pin. They did have extras of the Pooh Bus pin from last week. Go figure! So I'm looking for 2 Mickey thru the Looking Glass pins if anyone has extras. Please PM me.

Well my morning was not so wonderful! I called my local DS last night to see what time they would be open This Sat. morning, as with Christmas shoppers, every week has been different. The Cm told me 9:30 a.m as usual! Yeah "as usual" right!! I get to the mall at 9:15 AM and the store is already open and to my dismay all the Walt's lockets were gone!
I did get Peter Pan, Mickey thru the Mirror and my favorite all time Dis movie Peter & the Wolf. I asked and CM told me they opened at 9 and the locket was sold out in 10 min. they got approx. 30, with a 2 pin PP purchase rule. So I am assuming there were 15 people in front of me before 9:15 am, although there I was one of 3 people in the store at 9:15. Go figure.
The whole time I was speaking with the CM, the other CM was taking telephone orders. So people are calling in..Probably at 8:50 am!
Oh well, maybe I'll find one, or if someone has an extra one and would like to trade just PM me and we can "chat"!
Just checked on e-bay and someone already has the Locket up for auction...
Boy they didn't waste anytime!!

One nice thing about the3 manager at our store is that she will not fill phone orders until those in the store are served and she will not take them before store opening. We had a record number today wanting pins. Most there for the Walt pin. Pin Piggy turned up early.

Well I technically was first in line, but then I left to go check something and another fellow showed up. I ended up chatting with another woman and this guy and they each helped me get some more pins I needed for family and friends that couldn't make it. (due to the limit) Talk about random acts of kindness. Hopefully I can help them out next week.

It was just the regulars at the store. It opened on time this week. There were enough pins for everyone. I got an extra Locket and Mickey thru the Mirror. The person in front of me found on the rack a Rocketeer and Pooh from last week(someone must have returned them). I found a #19,Sleeping Beauty Castle. 2 more weeks to go. Have met some nice people.

I was in time to get a complete set today and an andditonal pin no. 77 (the Walt birthday pin). It is fantastic and since I share Walt' birtday, I am not going to let my wife trade it. There were three people in line ahead of me at 10:05 buying pins.

Pin trading is my wife's addiction but I help by making the run on Saturday morning for her. My wife has all 84 pins.

I was back in the store around 11 am today. I had forgotten our AP validation passes came in.
There were some Walt's hanging om the rack. Never thought I would see that! DH *made me* refrain. -- I know, I know.. the trip is coming up and I have been very fortunate.
They did actually have the 5th type of Americana MM pin (lenticular head). They didn't have it Thursday night. So I was again very happy!
Then we went to the JC Penney outlet store. Great prices on luggage! Got a nice 4 piece set for what a cheaper suitcase costs! The even had Pierre Cardin 5 piece set for $70.
It was a good day....

Our store had plenty to stock on all pins today, lots of lockets. Everyone got what they wanted. The whole time the phone was ringing off the hook and CM's were filling orders. I think I like the early morning opening (8am) I was back home by 8:30 and my kids were just getting up so we all had mickey pancakes!
Was anyone surprised on the size of the locket?? I guess we thought it was going to be smaller-not complaining- it is really done very nice.

I'm not complaining, but I too was surprised by the size of the Locket. I thought it would be smaller.

It was a LONG Saturday at my DS. Got to the mall at 5:30 a.m. There were already 20 people ahead of me in line. What a shock! Then 6:30 a.m. comes along and a rumor starts spreading through the line that the other DS in the vacinity did not receive any pins. Within the next 1/2 hour, everyone from the other DS was in line at my store. By the time the DS opened at 9:30 a.m., the line extended 5 stores down the mall. When the DS opened, we were told they had only received 1/2 the pins for the week. Four hours in line for four pins...that's an hour a pin...

I got to my DS at 7:05am on Saturday. I was about 15th in line. A few minutes later, another woman and her son got into line behind me and were very worried about whether or not they would get their pins. Since I had called the night before, I knew that our DS had gotten their full shipment of pins so I tried to reassure the woman that there would be plenty. About 8am, one of my Sat. morning pin friends showed up with her sister. The sister got in line while my friend Beth came up to talk to me. Thanks to people here, I was able to get Beth the Lullaby Land pin that she was missing so she paid me for it and we started chatting. At about 10 minutes to 9, everyone started to stand up and get ready for the store opening. Well, the woman who was behind me in line says to Beth "Get your butt back in line where you belong" Beth and I were just floored! I tried to tell the woman that there was no reason to be rude, then she started yelling at me "YOU THINK I'M BEING RUDE...." Beth tried to explain about the pin, then the woman started getting sarcastic about the fact that I was helping Beth get pins. My other pin friends were all just appalled at the whole scene. I'm glad that the series only has two more weeks -- I will never do this again! I've met several wonderful people standing in line each week, we've even talked about getting together once a month at the mall to "talk Disney." but this one bad apple spoiled my Saturday.

Yep, one bad apple can do that. We have one at our store. In fact it has become a game to beat her and mess up her plans tot he point we will buy for people that come after her if it is one of the regulars and we aren't getting 2 sets.
