Thank you for the tip. I will try the Bodyglide next time.Next time you're going to "Power Disney" (some people call that going "commando" --I like your term better), use Bodyglide on your feet -- the bottoms and heel area. You get it at a store for runners (and some outdoors stores, or on the Web). It looks like a deodorant stick and helps with friction issues.
We sorta looking into DVC a few years back. DW want to buy it right away. I am still on the fence. I got to think this thru.(Are you keeping an eye on the resales for DVC? You might want to read the DVC boards, if you haven't already, to see if that might work for you two -- I bought some points, and I haven't even stayed there yet! But I have stayed in other timeshares, and it's hard to go back to regular hotel rooms now. It's not for everyone, and it's good to do a lot of research about them first, but it might be worth it for you, if you're going to go to WDW at least every 2-3 years).
You just might be topdog of the trip reporters/photographers, too!
Yup! Both feet are starting to hurt by now but it gets worse.Yay! Another TR post! You and DW certainly cover a lot of ground on your vacation- it is no wonder you have a "pokey" foot! Or is that feet now? Love the pics. It is really great to see what "we"are eating. The key lime pie and chocolate cake look absolutely delicious! So, how are "we" spending the rest of "our" afternoon? Are we going to find the other glass??? And what are "we" going to do about the foot pain?

You will know more detail of the foot by the end of day 7.The food looks delicious!! Now I am trying to decide what is wronf with your foot. Strained musles? Stress fracture? Gout? Plantar Fasciitis? I hope you were able to enjoy the rest of your trip!!
I am almost there with all the Disney pictures. Working on a few more final touch up then I will revamp the web site. Yes. Not only parks. There will be resorts as well plus more. I just haven't gotten a chance to update the website yet. There will be a lot more than what you see right now.td -- don't want to slow you down any on getting your pics "live" -- but I optimistically clicked on your 2009 photo link again, and noticed that your categories are limited to four parks -- seems like you need one for resorts and DTD, and/or maybe restaurants?
Thanks.Wow! Those food pix should be in a magazine!!
My mouth was seriously watering after looking at them! Bravo!
We've never tried WPE... perhaps after seeing the food, I believe we will someday!
I'm worried about your "paws", topdog!!
Kathy
I use the bodyglide but find it only really works when I'm not wearing socks ie for my crocs or my sandals. I noticed you were wearing socks and shoes. You might want to try some of the superpadded socks and see if they work.
We went to Wolfgang's too. We also learnt later that we could have just stayed on the bus to get a stop that is closer. Oh well, live and learn I guess. Now we know.
Top dog. If you are going to wear socks maybe you should get some moisture wicking socks. I did the Princess half marathon in March and have started wearing Body glide and moisture wicking socks when I run. I came home with only one tiny blister from that trip.

Yay! Welcome back. I can't wait to read your TR. Yes, my feet are fine now. Thank you for the concern. Finally caught up after being gone for a week. Awesome updates as usual. Wish I would have seen your WPE pics before we left cause I would have ate there for sure. Oh well there's always next time. That was really sweet of you and your DW to pay for that couples meal. Such a special suprise for them. I hope your foot problem is fine now and it wasn't anything major.
Just wanted to say we had a great time even with all the rain. It was just really tough with the little ones getting on and off the buses. We also really enjoyed the KTTK Tour, learned a lot that I didn't really know. My DH and dad also enjoyed the Magic Behind the Steam Trains tour. Hoping to start a trip report in the next day or so but have to get our pics in order and remember everything we did and on what day. I forgot to keep a journal.![]()
I am not a sock person other than when I go skiing but I might give this moisture wicking socks a try. Those "pokey" feet really doesn't feel good. It's funny you mention the body glide, before I went to WDW a few years back i read all the tip threads about what to pack and bring to the parks...any who, one of the suggestions as you would probably guess was the body glide (mind this isn't cheap) and I searched high and low for this stuff.
I had forgot about it for a couple of days once we were in WDW then when I found it and thought....I should use this since I paid an arm and a leg for it! LOL
I did and that was the worst day for my feet, pokey wise as Topdog would say. I realize what works for one won't always work for everyone else, this certainly didn't work for me. I did however have the best suggestion work out for me and that was socks. I Invested in those socks that have the moisture wicking material and that have a good amount of padding, when I first read about it I thought..oh boy those are going to be exspensive! Not at all, I found them at Wal-Mart and bought my daughter and I both the socks(I think for the womens socks they were the Dansk brand-heavy), they have different thicknesses light, med. and heavy and I looove that they have some arch support. I'm sure that was the ticket for me, keeping your feet dry makes a big difference and everyday when we came back to our room, my feet were as dry as they could be.I hope in some way this helps you Topdog or anyone else reading.
Thanks. Maybe I should sell some of those food pictures and see if I can earn enough for another Disney trip.Topdog, all I can say is WoW!!! Your pics look as if they could be in the Food & Wine magazine.![]()
You are going to a mini Disney trip. I hope you are able to take some pictures and post them on your PTR. I have tried to read up on your PTR but just don't have enough time to caught up and comment. I need more time in my life. LOL...
Welcome back. I was just wonder where were you. How's the wedding plan coming along??Hey Topdog - greetings from across the Big Pond!!
Just caught up with all the updates and thoroughly enjoyed reading every word as always!
Thank you.Hi TopDog,
I just found your TR and it is VERY entertaining! I really enjoy looking at all of your amazing photos! Can't wait to read about how your trip ended...
Welcome back Ledger. I heard the rain at Florida was really bad. Lots of flooding going on. Glad you still have a fun trip anyway. I will check out the new pics.Yeah the mini Trip was great despite all of the rain. I took over 300 pictures with my new camera on our park day.I used auto mode most of the time because I'm still not sure about all the functions it has yet. Sometimes I got adventurous and used the other settings to see what I could come up with. It was fun. And no worries on getting caught up on my PTR. I'm going slow. I still have 6 months to plan everything. I put up Day 1 of our Mini Trip tho. There's a link at the bottom of my first post in the thread to it
Hope you and your DW had a great Memorial weekend

LOL... I used to love video arcade. Pac Man, Dragon Lair, Galaga, Missile Command, Tempest, Centipede, Street Fighter, Mortal Combat...and my personal favorite "Robotron2084". At one point, I was looking to buy an original full size Robotron2084 video arcade but it was too expensive.i love that you are another video game player! My fiance thinks I am nuts but let me tell yuo, years of pinball and fighting games have really shown through in showdowns with him!
And of course, even a great picture of your bag! Love it!
