What a disaster!!

It's this one, Alien Green:

(I actually already had that in my photobucket, from a project 2-3 years ago!).

Sorry about the wallet -- anywhere we could look for it when we're there next month?

I love the hibachi grills with shared tables -- usually really good food (at least at local ones).
It is Alien Green.

topdog - just a note to tell you how much I'm enjoying your trip report! You write so beautifully, it feels *almost* like being there when I'm reading it! Your photos are works of art... I found your report mid-way through with the pictures of the WL lobby, then had to go back and read the first part and am now catching up to here! I've shown my DH your photos and we just ohhhhhh and ahhhh over them.

I've been thinking of replacing my Sony Cyber-shot DSC-P200 with something smaller and lighter (thinner too), like the Casio Exilim EX-S10. My camera feels so heavy in my purse by the end of the day. Then I saw the photo of your camera bag and equipment, and the huge lens you were carrying over your arm at the Animal Kingdom! Now I feel like my Sony isn't so heavy after all! :rotfl:

I'm sorry you had to have your camera equipment shipped to WDW, that you lost your billfold (and especially sorry that nobody returned it!!!!!), and the pokey foot, but admire how you refused to let that ruin you and your wife's vacation.

Thanks for bringing to all of us readers the joy of a WDW vacation!

OMG! Great photos. I hate this is your last full day. Say it ain't so!!!!! Okay, I have to admit, the pic with you and Stitch is so cute. You also resemble Tiger Woods in those shots. I think he's hot! ;)
Thanks. Yes. It is the last full day at Disney. Now only if I can swing that golf club like Tiger, then I can afford to live in WDW. :lmao::lmao:

Thank you for all the kind word and glad you have fun reading my TR.

I wouldn't know what to do if I carry such small camera. :lmao: Wait...I did do that on the first 2 days.

I will open the entire gallery of the 2009 Disney vacation pictures on my website once day 7 is over. I believe it has some where between 5 to 600 photos. Believe it or not, after 3 months, I am still processing them. So stay tune...:surfweb:

beautiful pictures as usual! I don't think I could ever manage to get such gorgeous shots in fog. Mine always come out so dreary. I'm jealous. That bird on the boat is so cute. And that food is making me hungry!! Stitch is my favorite character so I have to say the picture of you and him is my favorite! :thumbsup2

:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

I can't wait! Your vault of pictures will be something happy to look forward to when we are sad that the report ends. :goodvibes

I am looking forward to looking at all your pics too. :goodvibes I enjoy the way you capture WDW in photos, especially the WL. :goodvibes

I have to admit I have been a long time lurker on thes boards I have just read through the balance of your TR and it has been great, your photos are terrific. Maybe I will be able to write a tr as well.

Thanks for your report
Judi

Oh that picture of the fruit surrounded by the fire at Ohana had me drooling. It's not often I think of pineapple as a warm comfort food.

Sorry you missed a sunrise. The fog is pretty nifty though. Makes you think it's Halloween.

Your pictures just keep topping themselves...these were crystal clear and quite lovely. My favorite, I think, is the waterfall pic at the Lodge. I got one, too, last year, but it didn't turn out like THAT!

As usual, the photos have me singing, "I WAAAAANNA GO BACK TO WIIIIIILDERNESS LOOOODDDDGE!!!!" :mic:

I would rather have dealt with OP's issues rather than dealing with all of this rain we're experiencing this week. As soon as we landed on Sunday we headed straight to the park. After 1 hour of our arrival, it began to rain and hasn't stopped since. Our 6 day trip is a total wash and it's been, for the most part, awful!!!! I will be collecting my refund for this trip from the state of Florida, along with all of the other thousands here with us right now....70 minute wait for KS at AK?!:headache::mad:

Many many thanks. Ohana breakfast was awesome. Stitch is my DW's favorite character. I am more of Goofy kinda guy. :rotfl:

Even the trip is almost coming to the end, I am just happy you all came along for the ride. It was a pleasure.

There are lots and lots and lots of picture waiting to be publish. Stay tune. :surfweb:

Welcome and thank you. Once you start your TR, you will not want to stop.

I just found a receipe for Brazilian BBQ cinnamon pineapple. I can't wait to try it. That can be comfort food.

Glad you like the pictures. I still have a lot of pictures ideas at WL, but I ran out of time. I guess I'll have to go back and do it all over again. LOL...

Sorry to hear you got wash out. I would not be a happy camper either. :headache: But then, I would put a poncho on and just enjoy the rain as well. I used to stomp on water puddle to splash my DW. First she'll get mad and then she'll laugh her butt off. :lmao:

Day #7 (Saturday) Valentine's Day Part 2

After we left O'Hana, we took the monorail and headed right to MK. Coincidentially, we arrived MK at about 8:55am. and the fog was gone. The sky was clear and no a cloud in sight. Sun was shining. Perfect weather for a farewell visit and just in time for the rope drop if that's what they called it. (I still don't know why they called it rope drop. Can some one please explain to me why they call it rope drop??) It was our first time to see the opening show like that. Quite entertaining. There was a crowd there but not as crowded as I anticipated

Once we got inside the park, I randomly shot everything I see for those just in case I missed it moment. As always, we like to start out from the right side of the park. So Tomorrowland here we come. Unfortunately, now the bottom of my left foot has escalated from pokey to slight pain. On top of that, my right foot now starting to feel pokey too. Not good!!

Once we got into Tomorrowland, it didn't take long before we decided to start with the Buzz Lightyear's spin. The ride was alright. Nothing exciting. Just perfect for this tired body. After that, we stop over to Monster, Inc. Laugh Floor. This one is new to both of us. Maybe I was just too tired, while the show was funny but I kept yawning. As soon as we got out, I want to ride the Tomorrowland Transit Authority. That will give my feet a chance to rest. TTA was totally empty with a big "E". There was not a soul in sight. Either we are too early or people don't like to go to MK on Valentine's day. Who knows and I wasn't complaining.

TTA felt like a new ride to me because I haven't rode it since 1995. I never realize how long this ride was and where does it goes.

After TTA, we walked behind the castle area and went to watch the Mickey's PhilharMagic. That's another DW favorite, a must go for her. I was kind a surprise we wait until the last day to watch this. We must've gotten distracted by the camera bag situtation. After that, I took some more shots at the surrounding area and then a silly shot by the Sword in the Stone. I wished I could've come up with a more animated pose but this is all I got. I was running dry.

P_DIS7017.jpg

Then DW suggested we might like to try the Peter Pan's Flight. Waiting time was 20 minutes but the line seemed long. We went for it anyway hoping it might move a little faster. Suddenly, about a dozen of people cut into the already long line because they were with this one guy that was way deep ahead of the line. Oh boy! This does not sit well with DW. I told her to calm down. If it happens again, we will just leave. Low and behold, in less than 2 minutes, another small group of people were doing the same thing. By then, we had hit our limit. The line hardly moved and our next ADR at DTD is at 1:00pm. I am in no mood to watch DW to take them down, so we left.

We then went to took a ride at the Liberty Square Riverboat. By then the sun was really strong and temperature has gotten quite warm. The sky was amazingly blue. We had a great time to just relax and taken everything in for the last time. We finally got the chance to see what some of the ride and structure really looks like. Usually, everything was just a blur because we were so hyper and wanted to go go go.

I have a whole lot more to show but I think I rather publish the rest on my website. They should be ready soon, I hope.

Once we got off the riverboat, We only have one more place to stop and that's the Pirates of the Caribbean. I want to take some final pictures for my treasure hunt. They were not the best pictures because my camera wasn't setup and ready for it plus we were kinda hurry. So this will have to do.

After that, it was time to say goodbye to MK. On our way out, I was determine to find this little Mickey micro-fiber lens cleaning cloth. We went thru several souvenir stores but no one has it. I began to feel frustrated and about to give up even though I knew I saw it a few days ago. Finally, I spotted it at the last store which is right under the Main Street train station. After I picked one up, it's time to cross the front gate. We turned around and waved to Mickey one last time before we head to the boat dock to catch our ride back to WL.

Topdog, I have really enjoyed your report!! It makes me "homesick", but in a good way. I can't wait to get back. I am definitely looking forward to seeing the rest of your pics!!

Great photos, a usual!!! I hope your pokey foot isn't broken!! And rope drop is called that because they "drop the rope" at park opening that is holding everyone outside the park before opening hours.

The first time we went to WDW (a very long time ago lol), they had a rope they held everyone behind. I think it was at the end of Main St. They dropped it when the park opened.

Hi Topdog! Great photos as usual. Oh no on 2 pokey feet now! :sad2: I love TTA for how calm it is and how long the ride is. It really is a nice break.

I also love Mickey's Philharmagic.

Bummer on those line cutters at Peter Pan's. :headache:

I've never ridden the River Boat before. You got some great shots of the HM on it :thumbsup2

And :yay: for finding the lens cloth you wanted with Mickey on it :thumbsup2

Your pictures are making me ready for my mini Trip this weekend. I'm going to Orlando (leaving tomorrow) to go visit my BFF and to celebrate my wedding anniversary :thumbsup2 We'll be @ the parks on Saturday. Going to shoot for 3 of them. MGM (for Star Wars Weekends), EPCOT (mainly for TT and Soarin') and MK (it will be open until Midnight!). This will be my first time really getting to try out my new dSLR so I'm really excited :woohoo:

I am so sad that you TR is over.:sad2:
Please let us know when you publish the rest of your pictures!!!
Thank you for sharing your memories. Looking forward to mine in just 98 days!!!

TR is not over just yet, right, TopDog? Are we going to find out the source of the "pokey" foot troubles?
