Day #7 (Saturday) Valentine's Day Part 2
After we left O'Hana, we took the monorail and headed right to MK. Coincidentially, we arrived MK at about 8:55am. and the fog was gone. The sky was clear and no a cloud in sight. Sun was shining. Perfect weather for a farewell visit and just in time for the rope drop if that's what they called it. (I still don't know why they called it rope drop. Can some one please explain to me why they call it rope drop??) It was our first time to see the opening show like that. Quite entertaining. There was a crowd there but not as crowded as I anticipated
Once we got inside the park, I randomly shot everything I see for those just in case I missed it moment. As always, we like to start out from the right side of the park. So Tomorrowland here we come. Unfortunately, now the bottom of my left foot has escalated from pokey to slight pain. On top of that, my right foot now starting to feel pokey too. Not good!!
Once we got into Tomorrowland, it didn't take long before we decided to start with the Buzz Lightyear's spin. The ride was alright. Nothing exciting. Just perfect for this tired body. After that, we stop over to Monster, Inc. Laugh Floor. This one is new to both of us. Maybe I was just too tired, while the show was funny but I kept yawning. As soon as we got out, I want to ride the Tomorrowland Transit Authority. That will give my feet a chance to rest. TTA was totally empty with a big "E". There was not a soul in sight. Either we are too early or people don't like to go to MK on Valentine's day. Who knows and I wasn't complaining.
TTA felt like a new ride to me because I haven't rode it since 1995. I never realize how long this ride was and where does it goes.
After TTA, we walked behind the castle area and went to watch the Mickey's PhilharMagic. That's another DW favorite, a must go for her. I was kind a surprise we wait until the last day to watch this. We must've gotten distracted by the camera bag situtation. After that, I took some more shots at the surrounding area and then a silly shot by the Sword in the Stone. I wished I could've come up with a more animated pose but this is all I got. I was running dry.
Then DW suggested we might like to try the Peter Pan's Flight. Waiting time was 20 minutes but the line seemed long. We went for it anyway hoping it might move a little faster. Suddenly, about a dozen of people cut into the already long line because they were with this one guy that was way deep ahead of the line. Oh boy! This does not sit well with DW. I told her to calm down. If it happens again, we will just leave. Low and behold, in less than 2 minutes, another small group of people were doing the same thing. By then, we had hit our limit. The line hardly moved and our next ADR at DTD is at 1:00pm. I am in no mood to watch DW to take them down, so we left.
We then went to took a ride at the Liberty Square Riverboat. By then the sun was really strong and temperature has gotten quite warm. The sky was amazingly blue. We had a great time to just relax and taken everything in for the last time. We finally got the chance to see what some of the ride and structure really looks like. Usually, everything was just a blur because we were so hyper and wanted to go go go.
I have a whole lot more to show but I think I rather publish the rest on my website. They should be ready soon, I hope.
Once we got off the riverboat, We only have one more place to stop and that's the Pirates of the Caribbean. I want to take some final pictures for my treasure hunt. They were not the best pictures because my camera wasn't setup and ready for it plus we were kinda hurry. So this will have to do.
After that, it was time to say goodbye to MK. On our way out, I was determine to find this little Mickey micro-fiber lens cleaning cloth. We went thru several souvenir stores but no one has it. I began to feel frustrated and about to give up even though I knew I saw it a few days ago. Finally, I spotted it at the last store which is right under the Main Street train station. After I picked one up, it's time to cross the front gate. We turned around and waved to Mickey one last time before we head to the boat dock to catch our ride back to WL.
