Day 6 (Friday) Part 2
So we left Kona Cafe and took the monorail to TTC then transfer to another monorail to EPCOT. Within no time, we arrived EPCOT. One thing I still haven't got use to is how the monorail goes thru EPCOT before it stop so you can have a birds eye view of the park before getting off. It was a very unusal experience. Anyway, once we got off the monorail, it was almost 11:00am. So we stop by the guest relation and see if they can help me with the wallet situation.
Once we walked in to the guest relation, a very nice CM greeted us with a smile. We told him what happened last night and some one from WL already tried to do something this morning. And we were wondering if he can do something to find out if L&F has the wallet or not. So the CM did basically the same thing what the CM did at WL. He answer all the question L&F asked him. He gave them the description of my wallet and content of the wallet as well. After spending 30 minutes on the phone, we still come out empty hand. The CM told us just keep calling and see something will turn out. All I can say is the CMs has certainly done everything in their power to help me. I really can't blame them for not trying. I am not too worry about the money or the Disney gift card at this point. I am just a little concern with my credit card since I have no information with me to call in for the lost. Since there is nothing we can do and we'll just have to move ahead with a positive mind thinking.
After we came out of guest relation and not knowing what we want to do next. We just walked toward the center of the park. As soon as we walked pass by Test Track, we notice the crowd was huge. Stand by wait time was like 60 minutes or some thing like that.
For some reason, we didn't even thought about getting a FP and just walked away. We then decided to stopped over and check out Mission: Space. This one has only about 15 minutes way so we walked right in. Hardly anyone at the entrance.
Of course, we have to ride the Orange team, the more intense training. After all, "We feel the need...the need...for speed." Here is my ticket to proof it.
Once we got inside, the queue wasn't bad. It had a little crowd and we did have to stop and wait for a few. So I took the opportunity to grabbed a few frames at the queueing area. Actually, it was kinda cool to be able to see the surrounding area instead of constant moving.
It was quite nice to slow down a little bit because by now, bottom of my left foot starting to felt a little pokey. (Hint! Hint!) The M: S ride was awesome. Even though we rode this on our last trip, but this is the first time I actually paid attention to see how the ride work. Basically, we were sitting in a module that spins in such high speed in order to create the G-force. Very much like how NASA trained their astronauts. That's how you get the pressure feeling when you think the rocket was launching.
By the time we got off the ride, I was a little light headed walking out. Nothing major but DW was jumping up and down screaming how fun the ride was. I might be getting too old for this. Ha! Ha! NOT!
After that, I need something a little milder so we stop over to The Seas with Nemo & Friends.
Last time we were here, this section was closed for construction. I was very disappointed then because one of my to do list then was to swim with the dolphins. We were on premium package last trip so that would've been included with the package. Unfortunately, it did not work out for me and I end up doing the parasailing at the Seven Seas Lagoon 3 times.
Waiting time at The Seas with Nemo & Friends was about the same as MTM, not too bad. The ride itself was pretty cool too. It was a good change of pace. Then we finished the ride, I was completely mesmerized by all the fish they had in the tanks.
Hay!!! I think I found Nemo.
These fish tanks were very hard to photograph because of the low light and the fish were constantly moving. Forget about using a flash, then all you get is one big bright reflection from the glass and the water. Out of the 50 or 60 some odd frames, other than the Nemo one, this is the only one that look somewhat decent. I got to figure out another way to do a better job.
Until DW tapped my shoulder to paid more attention to the big tank where the dolphins were swimming. I couldn't stop starring at those little guys. I've been wanted to swim with dolphins for the longest time. Even though I couldn't do it this time but at least I get to watch them. DW has to peeled me off away from the tank. We then went to watch the manatees training presentation. I love those marine life. For some reason, I grew up from a small tropical island. Live around ocean and beaches when I was a kid. I end up not liking hot weather climate and would rather live in sub-zero weather. However, once I saw the marine life, I just want to jump into the water and swim next to them. Weird?! Huh?!?!
One thing I did missed was the Turtle Talk with Crush show. I heard so much about it but didn't realize it was in this complex.
After we got out of the Nemo area, it was about 12:45pm and we have ADR at Coral Reef at 1:40pm. So we swing over to the globe and took a ride of the Spaceship Earth. There was no waiting time. We walked in and hopped on the cart right away. Once the ride began, I then realize this ride has been updated because I notice the LCD screen on the cart. It was very cool how they personalize your future lifestyle and create a little presentation just for you base on how you answer the questions.
By the time we got out of the Spaceship Earth, it's already past 1:00pm. So we began to walk towards Coral Reef. Temperature was getting too warm to my liking. I can feel my arms already got a little sun tan and I can't tolerate heat that well. At least the air was dry and very little humidity so I can breath a little easier. I found a little shaded area to sit down right outside the restaurant. DW went in to get the pager while I sat outside enjoying the warm temperature that I can still tolerate. But I was a little bored so I want to do some experiment with the monorail when I saw it pass me by a few times. The track was right above from where I sat.
I set my camera to high frame shooting rate so I can chase the monorail with my camera and take multiple frames as the monorail moved down the track. Very much like how I chased and photograph the fighter jet at the air show. The result is to capture a sequence still frames of the moving monorail and then to create a small animated file that looks almost like video. If you have paid attention on my signature for the past few weeks, you would've notice I posted the end result a little while ago. I thought it was pretty cool. If you haven't done so, then go check out my signature.
Here are a few of the still frames of the monorail.
