What a disaster!!

I pray that all goes well with your uncle and your family. I am here waiting patiently. We have no control of "life" sometimes!:goodvibes

 To you and your Uncle. Family comes first. We lost ours 2 weeks ago, he lived next door and was very special to us. I hope all goes well for the two of you.

I hope you and your family can get your uncle the medical attention he needs.
The older ones can be stubborn and difficult at times.

My Grandfather last summer, waited until his gallbladder went gangrene until he got the surgery he needed. :sad2:

God Bless :grouphug:

This is a great TR! I love your sense of humor! Disney should have dessert at breakfast! It just makes sense! My family has a rule that you can have dessert at Christmastime. I also love all your pics. My husband is a photographer and he (and I) would have been physically ill if he had forgotten his cameras!

Can't wait for the rest of the story!

Sorry to hear about your Uncle. I'll keep him in my prayers. Update when you can family comes first :goodvibes

I want to thank everyone for your positive thought and prayers. My uncle and I appreciate it very much. He's having some blood pressure and fever issue. I am more concern with his breathing problem. My cousin just can not get him to see a specialist. He is so stubborn. I am the only one he might be listen to. Hopefully, he will get through this.

Hope you have a good weekend topdog. I am sure it is stressful to have your uncle not feeling well and being responsible to check on him.

Beautiful throw and I too love the bear!

Great pictures as usual and love the closeups on the uniforms of the security guards. We saw the one with the banana when we were there but from a distance when he was in a joke contest with the other actors. He was very funny. I could use a 911 box with a cookie or piece of chocolate in it.
Thanks KSD. Those guards were just hysterical. I thought the one with the glass was the funniest. He reminds me of Drew Carey.
LOL a few years ago when we were at MGM (DHS) the guard/cop wearing spurs was "riding" one of those stick horses :lmao: - it had 2 wheels on the end of it that were rolling on the ground as he walked with it. He didn't say anything, just rode it past us a couple times. What's even funnier is that he's holding a riding crop in his hand.

I found the pictures!!! The kid walking past him just looking at him is too funny LOL
I love the characters that roam DHS. :rotfl:

I know how it is to see something at one of the gift shops you want and not get it when you first see it, then spend the entire vacation searching for it -- my DF did that with a pair of Mickey cargo shorts one year. The throw is very cute and so is the watch. I love those incentives they offer. I hope they have something good this month! :woohoo:
I hated it when that happen because I am just so not in buying mood at the beginning of the trip.
Since you take so many photos, do you have many of them printed? How do you store all of them? On DVDs?

Anxiously awaiting the next TR update..... popcorn::
DVD won't work for me because I took over 24 gig worth of pictures and I don't like to delete anything even the bad ones. A blue-ray disc would work but I don't own a blue-ray burner. Right now I have them store on my iPod. When I am all done, I have a 1 terabyte drive that can store them. Ultimately, I can back them up on tape also.
Yes, I do printed some of my pictures usually in 4x6 format. I do have a few in 11x17 format also.
Still here enjoying your trip report and getting even more excitied for our Anniversary trip in May with our kids and my parent's. :woohoo:
I hope you have a wonderful trip and come back with an exciting TR to post. :)
So sorry to hear about your Uncle. :grouphug: I know what your going through because my Aunt is in the hospital from a motorcycle accident that happened two weeks ago today. She lost her right leg from the knee down and now they just found out she has gangreen (sp?).:scared1: She's blaming part of it on the nursing home she was in for not changing the bandages as much as they should have even after she would ask them numerous times about the condition. But at least she's close enough to me that it's only about a 45 min drive to go see her but it's really hard with two little ones under the age of two.:scared1: So I'm keeping your uncle in my thoughts along with my aunt.

So take your time with your next update we will be here waiting patiently for it.
Thanks for the hug and the thought. Sorry to hear about your aunt to lost her leg. That must be very scary with the gangreen. 45 min drive isn't bad but with 2 little one, that's tough. For me, it will be at least 2 hours drive because my uncle lives in NYC. Parking is another issue. Unless I have to, I hardly drive to NYC anymore.
:rotfl:

That is really nice!! Nicer than the one we got in '07!!

Hope they have the promotion going in May!!
I hope you have a wonderful trip in May. What does the one in 07 looks like?
I'm really sorry to hear about your uncle...hope he will be better soon!:)

Your sense of humor is very dry... too funny!:lmao:
Thank you for the good wish.
Topdpg:
Just wanted to say how much I am enjoying your thread. I ran across this about 11:00 p.m. tonight and have gotten to page 17. It is 1:30 a.m. and I hate to but I have to shut the computer down and call it a night! I am thoroughly enjoying your pictures and your sense of humor that comes across in your writing. The pics of the animals at AK were so real I felt like I could reach out and stroke those beautiful parrots!
Can't wait until tomorrow when I can finish reading what you have written!
Great job!
Thank you. Glad you like the TR and the pictures. Take your time, I still have a lot to write and pictures to post. You are definitely a die hard fan now. :surfweb:

Thank you MadiMouse for the prayer.
I hope you and your family can get your uncle the medical attention he needs.

Gallbladder went gangrene.:eek: Yikes!! I hope he's fully recover now.

I already went through something similar with my mother 2 years ago and now my uncle. I am getting worn now. Thanks for the hug.

Thank you. Funny you mention about dessert. Actually, I am not a dessert person. I hardly eat any sweet at all. However, when I goes to vacation, that's a whole different story. I just let it loose.
Sorry to hear about your Uncle. I'll keep him in my prayers. Update when you can family comes first :goodvibes
Thanks Annie.

The throw I bought in '07 was burgundy colored with Mickey Mouse. Although nice, I really like your colorful one w/ MM and Minnie, the castle and Tink--it's so cute!!:flower3:

I just found your TR this morning and am subbing. Your pictures are amazing. :worship: As I was reading I got so excited to see your next photo that I had to skim ahead and look at all of them! I'm now going back and reading the report.

Wow, great, great pictures. :thumbsup2

Hey! Glad you enjoy the TR. How's thing across the Pacific? Ahh...Atlantic I meant.

Things across the 'Big Pond' seem to be getting a better with this c*ap economy situation which is good. What's stinging the Brits is the exchange rate on the $. We've been spoiled with nearly $2/£1 for a good few years and now it's slipped back to $1.46/£1 on a very good day.

We've saved for our wedding in WDW in December and the exchange rate has made a difference of around $4500 extra :headache:

Still, we feel very fortunate we are still able to do what we wanted and I've told OH he cannot buy all the plush Disney toys he sees like he does on every trip. OK, so that is me not him... :rotfl:

I love reading trip reports as it keeps me in the Disney mood but yours is by far one of the best I've read. I love your style of writing and the pictures are fantastic. :worship:

You don't fancy donating a killer shot of the castle for our wedding invitations do you?! Ours have got the back of my head or my backside in them

I hear you about the economy.

If you like those plush Disney toys, you are going to be floor when I publish all my 09 Disney pictures.

When do you need the picture for your wedding invitation? If you see something you like in this TR, let me know which one and PM your email. I can sent you the full resolution version. If you can wait, then wait until I publish all my pictures and pick one. If you would sent me a sample of the invitation so I can see what it looks like. That would be great. Don't worry, I won't crash your wedding. Then I would have to take more pictures of your wedding. :rotfl:

Don't forget to look through my 05 Disney trip pictures too. I have a section dedicate for the MK castle also. The castle has the Disney 50th Anniversary decoration. I have the link in my signature. I still have all the original files for those pictures. Something you might want to consider.

Wow - thank you. Seriously, thank you. I was kidding when I said do you want to donate a photo, but it would be fantastic.

We won't be sending the invites out for quite a while yet so will hang on until you have the pictures published. I will definitely send you a sample too, and if you are at Disney then you are more than welcome to drop by. We'll be easy to spot - I'll be the one in the white dress :rotfl:

Thank you again, it is very kind of you :goodvibes

Hi.... I love your TR! I've been following it and am on the edge of my chair waiting to see what happens next.

Sorry you cant find the glass your looking for, but have you tried calling Disney Merchandising? I've done it and the CMs are very helpful. All you need to do is give them a discription of the item you are looking for. I think it helps them to know were you saw it, but I dont think it is neccessary. They are really good at tracking things down. If it is still sold in the park, you will be able to purchase it and they will send it to you.

A few years ago my dd snowglobe from WDW broke. She was heartbroken. It had been a year or two since we had been there, and I wasnt sure where I had boughten it. I called WDW merchandising and with a description, they were able to find it. They were very nice and even gave me description of other snow globes over the phone.

Its been a few years but I think the number is still the same. (407)363-6200. If it is not the same, you could try calling the general number for WDW and ask for merchandiseing.

Good luck.

Something tells me there's gonna be much more to the glass story in future installments of this TR! And it seemed there were some hints as to the high price Topdog seems to have paid to get that throw that we all want now. LOL!!

hope your uncle is doing ok. thanks again for your report and those beautiful pictures. i check in every day for an update.

It will be an honor if you choose one of my photo for your invitation. If my photo can give your that extra magic for your wedding, then it's all worth it. After all, one of my brother is living outside of London area and I am part Brits also. I was born and raise from Hong Kong which I had a British citizenship until my family moved to U.S.

Thank you for the information. While we were hunting for the glass, a few of the CM did mention about the Disney merchandising. They even have the email address printed on the receipt.

Oh yes it is. I will get to it eventually. Sorry for the suspense. He! He! (Evil laugh.)
hope your uncle is doing ok. thanks again for your report and those beautiful pictures. i check in every day for an update.
Thank you piglet50 for the well wish.

I still have plenty of pictures and story to share. I am so glad my TR can draw so much suspense and attention.

Hi Top Dog! JUST found your wonderful trip report and have read to page 25 in one sitting. Your photos are FAB-U-LOUS! Make me want to scrapbook every one!

My "Ted"s name is Dimples. My husband bought her for me on Sweetest Day, 2005. Yes, she travels with us, as does her little brother "OC".

Sure know what you mean about film getting expensive - I went digital the year my Snapfish bill topped $800.

Loving your enthusiasm and unique perspective, too. Subscribing to this thread. I'm a FAN!

Sorry to hear of your Uncle, hope he gets well soon.

I know it is mentioned here but too lazy to back track, what camera do you use?
