What a disaster!!

Just a quick post because I am late for work. I will post all my reply tonight and I will have a picture of the quilt tonight also. Actually, I found out the correct term is "Tapestry Woven Throw". What do I know?

TopDog,
Just wanted to let you know that my WHOLE family (DH, myself, DD4 & DD2) are soooo enjoying you trip report. We all gather around the lap top to read and look at your pictures.
Thank you so much for taking the time to post. You make us feel like we are right there with you and you pictures are GREAT! We will be going for our first family trip in May and your trip report has just added to our excitement. :yay:

Brilliant update - it makes my day to read them. Even my cat is enthralled, sitting on the arm of the sofa reading on my laptop :)

Before I start replying, here is what the "Tapestry Woven Throw" looks like.

Wow, its really beautiful!! I need to look out for something like that when we are there! Can't wait for your next installment since you left me hanging about the glass now:lmao:

Great report! I hope you found your glasses. They are pretty cool looking. Are they glass or plastic?

Love the security guards -- especially the one with the spurs on his shoes :rotfl2:. Too funny!!!
The glass is plastic but with a metal stem. All the guards were very funny. Their outfit were just icing on the cake.
LOVE the new installment. I almost peed my pants laughing when I got to the part that said "Thank goodness for snack credit. It saved the day!"
The snack credit do comes in very handy.
Yea--another installment! Can't wait for the next one. I love the picture of the emergency donut :rotfl:
Thanks. I will have the next installment as fast as I can. My brain doesn't think fast like a 20 something anymore. LOL...
Another great installment. I could use that 911 donut right about now. :rotfl:
Can we see the quilt? I don't really care for DHS, but I like the shopping.
911 donut. LOL... That's a good one.
Hey top Dog, I was there the same day as you! I was there for the AI parade! You should have stayed for it. It was awesome!
How about that! What a coincident! The crowd was a bit much for DW. I saw some highlight on TV that night anyway. Too bad I missed Paula. ;)

Quote: "A couple of voice buttons like the Staple's "That's easy" type of button. One for me, it said "I am surrounded by idiots." The voice was by Scar from Lion King. The other one was for our friend, I think it said "Off Your Head". I can remember which voice is that."

I think that might be the Queen of Hearts from Alice in Wonderland? "Off with her head"!

(And I'm sure you know that those particular "security guards" are part of the Studios "Street Characters" -- they're always fun to see and interact with).

Glad you're still working on your TR (DD and I are starting to feel like topdog "groupies."
You did it again. "Off with her head!" That's exactly what that was. Note to myself: Do not play Disney trivia with mecllap. LOL... Will you be joining Figgy next trip? I am a Figgy "groupie" now. :)

Yes. I am still working on my TR and I have plenty more to write. Just be patience because I am having some family problem. My uncle who is very close to me is not feeling well and he won't go see a specialist. Driving his family nuts. I have to call him often to check on him because he lives 100 miles away from me.
Hi there!!! It took me a bit (I am reading @ work ;)) but I am finally at the end, well not the end but you know what I mean!! :lmao: I love your style, your a-m-a-z-i-n-g photos, and of course your awesome sense of humor! :thumbsup2 I think you need to start planning another trip to Disney (or just buy DVC:goodvibes) You are a great story teller and I can't wait until your next installment!! :goodvibes Thanks so much for sharing!
So glad you join us for the ride. Glad you like the pictures. I try to be funny all the time but most of my friend thought my humor is little dry for them. LOL...

At least you can access from work. My office blocks off everything fun. :headache: There might be another trip if everything works out. But lets hope its a little less stressful than this one.
Enjoyable as always! The pics were great. I shared the pics of Toy Story Mania and the cops with my kids. They were disappointed you didn't have any more pics of TSM, but happy to get a glimpse. It was under construction when we were there and it is at the top of our Power Disney To Do List for our next trip (which we have no idea when it will be!). My kids can't decide what is funnier, the spurs, the banana gun or the emergency donut! You made their day today! We say a keystone cop sneakinghis way down the main street at DHS when we were there. He was trying to "hide" behind potted plants and trees that were as thick as tooth picks. He was hilarious!

I, too, would like to see the quilt if you can post a pic and as a scrapper I have to tell you that the cost of the album is minor compared to the money you will spend on supplies and equipment! They make one of the best souvenirs though IMHO.

Keep up the story telling, I am anxious to hear how the rest of the day turns out. I'll go get some chips, I hate popcorn! Unless it is smothered in caramel!
Glad my TR became a family entertainment for your house. That's great!! I like that. I really wish I have more pictures on TSM for your kids but it was so crowd in that area, I can hardly breath. We have to walk away as soon as we can.

I know what you mean about the cost on the scrap book. We just went to some local fabric store and picked up a few sheets of paper and stickers. That's $10 already. I told you I am a tight-wart. I guess I would have to rely on a lot of my pictures and some of the odd stuff we brought back from the trip. I am a pack rat big time. I saved every thing even have a few fastpass on hand.
This is my favorite TR. I can't wait to read more!
Thank you. I have plenty more to share.

Of course, gotta fancy up the name to justify the cost I'm sure .

Looking forward to reading more this weekend! popcorn::
Only if you know how much this "Throw" has cost me.

Yay! My TR turns into another family gathering event. That is super nice. I wish you have a wonderful trip in May.
Brilliant update - it makes my day to read them. Even my cat is enthralled, sitting on the arm of the sofa reading on my laptop :)
Hey! Glad you enjoy the TR. How's thing across the Pacific? Ahh...Atlantic I meant.

Love the bear! :)
He can be a troublemaker. :lmao:
That is just beautiful! I did not expect it to be that nice.
It is pretty cool.
Well, now I want a Tapestry Woven Throw!!!

I'll save my money.
Should I put it one eBay?? LOL...
Wow, its really beautiful!! I need to look out for something like that when we are there! Can't wait for your next installment since you left me hanging about the glass now:lmao:
I believe the throw is available in all the parks only. Not sure when but I will try to post the next installment asap. I'll give you a little clue. There is a connection between the throw and the glass.

Hope you have a good weekend topdog. I am sure it is stressful to have your uncle not feeling well and being responsible to check on him.

Beautiful throw and I too love the bear!

Great pictures as usual and love the closeups on the uniforms of the security guards. We saw the one with the banana when we were there but from a distance when he was in a joke contest with the other actors. He was very funny. I could use a 911 box with a cookie or piece of chocolate in it.

LOL a few years ago when we were at MGM (DHS) the guard/cop wearing spurs was "riding" one of those stick horses :lmao: - it had 2 wheels on the end of it that were rolling on the ground as he walked with it. He didn't say anything, just rode it past us a couple times. What's even funnier is that he's holding a riding crop in his hand.

I found the pictures!!! The kid walking past him just looking at him is too funny LOL
I love the characters that roam DHS. :rotfl:

I know how it is to see something at one of the gift shops you want and not get it when you first see it, then spend the entire vacation searching for it -- my DF did that with a pair of Mickey cargo shorts one year. The throw is very cute and so is the watch. I love those incentives they offer. I hope they have something good this month! :woohoo:

Since you take so many photos, do you have many of them printed? How do you store all of them? On DVDs?

Anxiously awaiting the next TR update..... popcorn::

Yes. I am still working on my TR and I have plenty more to write. Just be patience because I am having some family problem. My uncle who is very close to me is not feeling well and he won't go see a specialist. Driving his family nuts. I have to call him often to check on him because he lives 100 miles away from me.

Still here enjoying your trip report and getting even more excitied for our Anniversary trip in May with our kids and my parent's. :woohoo:

So sorry to hear about your Uncle. :grouphug: I know what your going through because my Aunt is in the hospital from a motorcycle accident that happened two weeks ago today. She lost her right leg from the knee down and now they just found out she has gangreen (sp?).:scared1: She's blaming part of it on the nursing home she was in for not changing the bandages as much as they should have even after she would ask them numerous times about the condition. But at least she's close enough to me that it's only about a 45 min drive to go see her but it's really hard with two little ones under the age of two.:scared1: So I'm keeping your uncle in my thoughts along with my aunt.

So take your time with your next update we will be here waiting patiently for it. :flower3:

I'm really sorry to hear about your uncle...hope he will be better soon!:)

Your sense of humor is very dry... too funny!:lmao:

Topdpg:
Just wanted to say how much I am enjoying your thread. I ran across this about 11:00 p.m. tonight and have gotten to page 17. It is 1:30 a.m. and I hate to but I have to shut the computer down and call it a night! I am thoroughly enjoying your pictures and your sense of humor that comes across in your writing. The pics of the animals at AK were so real I felt like I could reach out and stroke those beautiful parrots!
Can't wait until tomorrow when I can finish reading what you have written!
Great job!
