This time yesterday I was quite happy with the fact we have a (none disney) Alaskan cruise booked next year, wasn't even considering Disney for another year or two.

Then someone (I'm looking at you @MissAnonD !) posted about the free dining and free $100 gift card offer ending soon. This sent me in to a blind panic in case we suddenly decide we want / need / can afford a trip next year and miss out on the food and gift card in the meantime! I messaged my BF just casually mentioning it and get a text back immediately saying "just book the bugger!" (not the actual word he used but I don't want to be banned!!!!!

All of a sudden I am seconds away from booking either Saratoga Springs or Coronado Springs!!! SSR is "pre-register only" at the minute. My question - amongst all of this over excited ramble - is has anyone ever not got the "pre-register only" room at 9 months out and - if that happens - what do disney do? Move you to an equal or lesser resort or cancel you?! Because more than likely I will have booked flights by then so cancellation will not please me!!! If there's any doubt I'll just book CSR as never stayed there and do like to try different places!

Thanks! *excited squeal *

What have I done?! Haha

Unfortunately I can't help with your question (I've never stayed at SSR) - but I'm chuffed to know I've had an impact, although hopefully not too much of an impact on your bank account! Let us know what you decide! x

I also have SSR "pre registration" in place for next year.
The gentleman who completed the registration for me said it was due to SSR not providing the "room Itineraries" yet for 2017. They are expecting them any time so said we should have our booking confirmed within the next 2 weeks, However he also confirmed that during this period should we wish to cancel we are able to and have our deposit returned.

Oh two weeks? That's not so bad, I assumed it would be the 9 months to tie in with when they are released to DVC owners. Did they say there was any doubt to getting the booking?

Just booked SSR!!! There's nothing like a snap decision to spend a few grand to drive you into the hands of a pack of frazzles!!!!

To be honest he never suggested anything other than saying it was due to the Itinerary not been released, and just advised I would received confirmation soon. I made the presumption from my telephone conversation that it was never in doubt. x

Our OKW reservation for next august moved from pre-registration to booking confirmed today :)
