What’s your long line ritual when in Disney?

Yes… we all will have that moment when despite waking up super early to snag Lightning Lanes, the ones we want run out and we end up in standby. What are your typical doings to help you pass the time?

For me… I typically whip out DisneyNOW (the website still works) and catch up on recent Disney cartoons while I wait for my attraction.

I don't have any, so I'll be looking for ideas here. Usually I'm solo, so I'm too busy keeping my place-I hate the thought of being "that person" who holds the whole line up because they're not paying attention.

When I'm solo (which is most of the time), I usually just get out my Duolingo and work my way through my daily quests and units. Once I'm done with that, I've got a few brainless yet addictive games I play or I'll stick on an easy to watch tv show on one of my streaming apps (those ones with the short less than 30 minute episodes).

A lot of the time I just like to take in and appreciate the theming of the queue itself. As long as a queue is moving, I'm usually quite happy just to amble along and take it all in.

Family of four. We talk.

We have played games, including Disney Heads Up with our phones (but we place them chest high not on our foreheads).

Now our daughters are older… The last trip we did our girls were both in college so they did a lot of schoolwork while waiting. My husband and I chat and maybe complain about the wait. lol

I guess we just consider it time spent together. I guess we don’t do anything very specific because I can’t remember anything in particular aside from Heads Up. Oh we also do the Wordle, Mini, Connections, Strands (NYT games) once a day and compare our results.

I’ll try to pay more attention to what we do on our next trip…

Edited to add: They do their schoolwork on their phones.

I am also frequently solo. I check the time entering the queue to compare to the estimate. Scroll social media if battery life is good, but mostly people watch.

I use it as a time to quiet my mind. No stress. Be on vacation.

I don't really get in long lines. Think the longest has been like 20-30 minutes. If I am traveling with someone, we talk and plan the next things we will do. If I am solo I may get on Reddit or FB and scroll.

If I'm solo or with one other person, I'll pull up my Kindle app and read or scroll through social media. Depending on the time of day I may text someone. When I was sister's family a year ago, we played Heads Up a lot.

My kids are teenagers now and so busy I feel like I have to book an appointment to talk to them. So, I try to make the best out of being 'stuck' in line for 20-45 minutes. Mostly we just talk. We've had a lot of laughs in line.
