What’s for dinner?


Nice. I've been making homemade pizza since the start of the pandemic. Dough from scratch. It's really amazing to me how satisfying it is to make a pizza from scratch. We had this pie last week.....an onion pizza. So good.

We've been making pandemic pizzas too! I can probably count on my fingers the number of times I've made homemade pizza prior to the pandemic, but now I probably make it once a week.

Same! What's your dough recipe? I found that I really upped my pizza dough game when I got the right flour. My husband is Italian American, and while he's not a picky eater at all, he's a real pizza snob. He legit loves my pizza....so much that I don't think I'll be off the hook from making it once this whole mess is over.

Interesting on the flour making a difference. I'd never have thought of that. I'm very lazy and usually just do two ingredient dough (flour and Greek yogurt.) I got started on that when yeast wasn't available and haven't stopped because it's so easy.

Interesting. I use this recipe from Tyler Florence. I don't have packets of yeast.....so it's 2 1/4 teaspoons. And the salt is wrong...many people comment in the reviews of the recipe. It calls for 1 tablespoon, but that's *way* too much. I think it's actually a misprint. I use 1 teaspoon and it's just right. He makes 3 small pizzas with it. I make two from this....each being plenty for a meal for two. Also...freezes beautifully.

How did you get that so round? I did homemade pizza tonight (first time making my own dough) and mine (made 4) ranged somewhere between square and oblong.
