AAA waives the deductable depending on who replaces it. I too was the victim of a big rock driving down the highway. I'll never forget how loud it was. Looking forward to the rest of your trip.

It looks like you're right. The sticky at the top says you can either wait for the mods to move it or link to a new TR in the TR section. They have pretty good instructions there if you choose to link it.

Sorry to hear about the Doom Buggy I hate it when those things happen. I swear a month after I got my brand new Echo hatchback someone opened the door right into mine and there's been a huge ding ever since. What rotten luck.

Thank you for the sympathy for "The Doom Bugy." I also lost my WDW magnet on my car when we were driving home. It was just a very bad day for "The Doom Bugy." I really loved that magnet too. I'm trying to find it, but no luck on EBay or anywhere else. I'll have to wait until I get back to WDW, I guess. I hope they'll still have one!

Thanks for that great info about the windshield! I will tell DH! We have AAA, so this may work! I would love not to have to put any money out to fix this at this time. Thanks for the heads-up! I'll let you know what we find out! I get so much helpful info here on the DIS!

So glad to see you made it back safely, sorry about the Doom Buggy. I had a VW and had the same thing happen! A mechanic told me that VWs are made w/ the cheapest glass for windshields. This makes no sense to me b/c they are not cheap cars

Wow, I really liked reading your trip report and looking at all the pictures (sure beats writing a paper for finals! )!

Ok, the stuff you found at Target was super cute...I want it! Also loved the pictures of the new tickets. When we went down in October and decided to treat our grandma to a trip as well as a birthday gift, the ticket she got was like that...hers was a picture of four of the dwarfs on Splash Mountain, with Grumpy up in front. I forget exactly what it said at the bottom but it was something along the lines of "where everyone is happy no matter their name." hehe Unfortunately I didn't get a cool one since we already had tickets. :-(

I also think I want some of those Disney crocs...

Welcome Back! Sorry to hear about the Doom Buggy. I had that happen to one of my cars when it was brand new as well. Even though it can be replaced, it still "hurts" cause its your new car.

I'm even more sorry about my windshield now, considering the insurance won't help at all and cover anything. We are going to be stunk paying the entire price. Now, we're going to try and hunt to find the best deal! It's not something we need right now with all the money we're putting out here at the end of the year. Oh well...I guess we'll try to make the best of it.

Are you serious!? Wow...that makes me mad!! I thought the same thing when it happened because rocks hit cars all the time and this is the first time in the Beetle. Sure enough...that's all it took! It's not a cheap car at all and very well made, so I'm surprised to hear that. It's just upsetting and something else we need to worry about that we don't have time for at the moment. *Sigh*

Oh, you would do that for me!? How wonderful! I'd really love you to help me out with the magnet if you could. I orginally bought it at World of Disney in Downtown Disney. It's the blue rectangle magnet with the Faf Five on it and it says, "Been There, Done That, Going Back!" I loved that magnet!! I can't remember how much it cost now. That is so sweet of you! Thank you!!
