We've Bounced Back like Tigger SB09 TR NEW 9/11 CLOSING TIME....

The young ones really know how to lift the spirits, don't they? Get better soon!

P.S. I'm so glad that you said the classic, I can still be Dis friends with you!!:rotfl:

thanks:laughing:

Feel better soon!

Awww...Margaret is so cute!

Hi Julie!

Just getting all caught up... glad there's no piggy flu for you! You should have seen how often I was using the hand sanitizer during our trip! :rolleyes1 Zachary bites his fingernails so I was really worried about him... but so far so good - no sign of the piggy flu or the Disney flu here (yet). ;)

Alex had to go to the nurse before they let him in school today though... we had a message from our superintendant that anyone who traveled to an effected area over vacation had to be monitored by the nurse. I wasn't sure if they considered Disney an "effected" area but since there was a case diagnosed in Orlando while we were there I would send him to the nurse. The Orlando case wasn't from Disney though. :thumbsup2

crazy huh?

Great updates from MK - that's funny that you mentioned looking for underwear - I carried some in our backpack every day and wondered whether it was really necessary (used one pair one day) or if I could just buy some if needed. Glad I carried it with me at that price.

I still carry a pair for Mae...in Margaret's things, just glad they didn't have to go all the way back to CSR....

Sorry Michael was having a hard time - Alex had one pretty bad day. :headache: And several other not so great "moments". Zachary did really well (for the most part).

thanks...he had a few more :headache: moments but overall it was a great trip...sorry about Alex too. How did the cards help?

Can't wait to hear more!!

I'm still enjoying reading your thread! Thanks for sharing.:flower3:

I feel bad for your family. That was us last week, and the school was freaking out that I kept DD home with a fever for a few days. They wanted to know who my MD was and everything he said to us. We unknowingly spread it to two little girls in my Daisy troop. I felt terrible for that. My DH was home one day, and I missed work on Sat. Not fun! You will get over it, and feel better than ever, just hang in there.

thanks... I am, glad to be back on the Dis

Aww, poor Scrappie!! Feel better soon!

thchicken-soup.jpg

And how adorable was that widdle two year old??!! :cutie: You're training her well!

I try...:rolleyes1:cutie:

Kathy

Hope you feel better soon Scrappie!!! Margaret is too cute...boy I wish I could be 2 again. LOL!

Fell better soon!

Well thank you all for all the nice well wishes and hanging in there w/ me....so after several days of just not really feeling any better or feeling my normal meds and the extra stuff was working...I just knew something was not quite right!

Thursday night my breathing began to grow rapidly to signs of distress...anyone who has asthma should know of a little breathing monitor device called a peak-flow. It shows you how much air you can expell from your lungs and can help you monitor when your asthma may be getting bad before it really does...on a normal day I can hit 450 w/ no issues. well 2 nights ago I barely could hit 250. so after a breathing treatment and a restless night of sleep the next morning (yesterday friday 5-8) before my DH ,Matt left for work around 6:30 am I checked my peak flow again and it was not improving. I knew I couldn't wait till the reg doc office opened at 8 am to call so I called my parents and said I need to go to the hosipital. They started getting ready to come over. I called the doc on call and he said go to the nearest ER not come out to the one (20 min away) where my doc is affiliated. So DH tells the twins who are still in bed he has to take me to the ER and Ja-Ja is on his way. He drives me over there which is 5 minutes away and get's me situated then heads back home to meet my Dad then he had to go to work...he felt bad but he was the only one on that day in the office...

My Mom came next and found Aldine making bfast for everyone and a lunch for Michael too ...after taking the twins to school she came and sat w/ me...

I endured 8 hrs in the ER and recieved 2 IV bags and meds, plus 4 heavy breathing treatments at one point I thought my heart was going to jump right out it was beating so fast...in the end after watching Mythbusters and chatting w/ my Mom (glad she was there) I was released w/ instructions to maintain home bt's for the next 24 hrs every 4 hrs and a heavy course of steriods for the next 2 weeks...the diagnosis...probably that darn flu :headache:

The doc felt I was right at the peak and that is why nothing seemd to be helping at home up to this point...as well it could be walking pnemomia again :headache::headache:

so how do I feel now?

well leaving yesterday I felt better than I did when I came in to the ER...which is generally a good thing...did I feel better than I did the day before...no, not really. but figure it could have been worse I could be laying in a hosipital bed on the Dis than in my own bed ;) right now

anyways...he is not concerned about the flu...it's just the FLU...I don't really think I have it..but oh well. Today I feel slightly better...the peak flows are stable at 350-360 which is no real change from prior to the ER stint...but my chest feels a bit looser and I'm not haking up a lung every 10 minutes like before.

so I will stayed holed up in my room today and Mother's day and hope I feel better by Monday to start limping back in my "normal" life again...w/ 3 major things to finish up (school event. church duties, and my bro's engagemnt party) in the next 3 weeks plus DH won CUB tickets for Tuesday night...I have lots to feel better for.

Glad to have great parents to take off their Friday and care for me and my kids and my DH is going to win supper Hubby and Father award after this one....

hoping the steriods will kick in and the chipmunk face bloating won't be a factor...:sad2:

keep you posted...

OK need to take another bt and then a shower...then I'm going to treat you and myself to some more of this TR w/ some DISNEY FUN!!!!!

Thanks,

J-

Sorry for the short break…but here we go…..

Continuation of Day 2) Tomorrowland fun Today!

We are leaving Adventurland and crossing the bridge leaving behind the beating drums of some wild safari party…as we come across the song and dance of some Celebration going on in front of Cinderella’s castle.

We take a peak as we are going to squeeze through the onlookers when I see….

A PHOTPASS PHOTOGRAPHER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok, Ok, I know that doesn’t sound that thrilling, but I said to my group hey let’s stop a take a few pictures together in front of the castle?

The nice PP lady start clicking away our pretty pictures when she pauses and from behind we hear…

BOOM!

AHHH!

I’m thinking in my head….fireworks are going off behind the castle…everyone HOLD!!!! That pose and smile!!!!

By the 3rd and 4th BOOM!!! The natives get restless and start turning around to see what is going on….

The PP lady says she thinks she got a couple good shots and I thank her kindly…anxiously wondering how good will they be?

Before heading on our way, I ask her to try and do the “Tink” picture w/ Margaret and Mae. I had tried earlier in the morning w/ just Margaret but she didn’t look at the camera.

This time it turned out pretty cute:

Image031.jpg

And aren’t you just wondering how the family group shot in front of the castle turned out?

1 firework to the left:

Image024.jpg

1 firework to the right:

Image021.jpg

And WOW!!!!!!!!! Look at this 2 fireworks and we are all looking at the CAMERA!!! I was so excited to see how well this picture turned out!

Image025.jpg

Image027.jpg

for some reason the actuall pic is dark like this one...I think she adjusted the focus to capture the fireworks better in the daylight...

Pretty cool and kinda amazing huh? Great job PhotoPass Lady! :thumbsup2

So now we headed over into Tomorrowland

100_2094.jpg

and first parked our stroller and then used the b-day FP’s again to go on BLAB. It was getting to be the heat of the day now and a bit crowded…so I was hoping everyone would hang in there a little longer so we could just get a couple more fun things in….this day overall was shaping up to be a Wonderful first day at WDW and especially MK. I can’t remember for sure but this may have been my Dad’s 1st time riding Buzz and he got quite a kick out out of it. We really all enjoy this fun ride. Though I have a hard time dealing w/ the spinning control thing. I think I rode w/ my Dad and Mae…she controlled the spinner for us…she did probably better than me…DH of course got the high score of our group over 830,000 crazy….how does he do that?

100_2095.jpg

100_2096.jpg

100_2099.jpg

100_2100.jpg

Upon leaving this we decided to SPLIT up one last time for Mom, Dad and I to ride Space Mt…I was glad it was still open before it’s scheduled summer reno. DH would take the kids on the TTA…or as we enjoy calling it “the we-way-people mover”

Before we split up thought Michael and I spotted a little Toy Story Friend and snatched him up:

100_2103.jpg

Michael and Wheezy!

On the way over to SMt…I saw the line to get on TTA and though oh no I left DH w/ 4 kids in that…..eek! (Later I realized it was actually the line for the Astro Orbiter ride.) DH was able to go two times around w/ out getting off in between. He and the kids had a lot of fun.

When my parents and I arrived to get our b-day FP’s that was all that was available it was probably around 4 pm or so and the stand-by line was crazy long….I mean super crazy! Wish I had a picture to show you. So of course some major bummed people were arriving hoping to get some FP’s but no luck…

I had all the FP cards in my wallet (7 total) and we were only using 3 at the time…so as a group of 3 College looking guys were walking away….a gleam of MAGIC hit me

And I yelled out to them:

“Hey you guys in the HATS!”

(Ok that was lame…but thy were wearing hats)

One turned around and pointed to himself like me? And I nodded yeah.

They came back and I said “It’s my Mother’s birthday and I have some extra b-day FP’s you guys can have them. So I printed them off each a FP ticket for Space and they were very happy and thanked us several times and wished my Mom Happy Birthday!

It felt really nice to share the MAGIC and spread a little fun at the end of our day…isn’t that what WDW is all about anyways?

Space Mt. was great….I so love that ride…it is one of the coolest here. I hope it still will be that way after whatever renovations they make to it?

On our way back to meet up w/ DH and the kids I stopped at a Popcorn Cart and got a box of popcorn as a snack credit for the kids to share…I had a few morsels off the top…I LOVE popcorn!.

We found each other and headed on out of the park first making a few stops. I remembered from last year that we didn’t take any just “our” family photopass pictures and saw a photographer w/ no one in her area and got some nice shots:

It was very fun to play around w/ the enhancements here are my favorites.

Image040.jpg

Image047.jpg

Image049.jpg

This one I can’t believe I closed my eyes….I never close my eyes…ugh.

Image041.jpg

Then down Main Street and we picked up Mom’s Ears:

100_2105.jpg

And DH went into City Hall w/ Michael before leaving to ask a few questions, one pertaining to actually our sitter from back home her band was playing at DTD on Monday and we wanted to get the right time. They also asked how did Tink “fly” down from the castle….but you know they wouldn’t reveal her secrets….;)

In the meantime, a late day parade was going to begin and the hula hoops were out…a favorite of Aldine….go Hula-Girl!

100_2110.jpg

And hey Alice…where do you think you are going?

100_2113.jpg

Up NEXT: the end of Day 2) Final b-day surprises for my Mother and Father too.

thanks for reading,

Poor Julie! I hate hospitals, so I can imagine how fun (not) it must've been to be in one for eight hours!!!:scared1: Thank goodness for mom and dad, it's always nice to have family around that will help you out when you need it.:goodvibes

Great update, btw!:banana: The Tink PP was really cool! I'm glad that one worked out. I always love to see the Zurg pics with the kids behind bars! That's one that I'll have to get DH to do!:rotfl::rotfl: Even though you are in bed sick, I hope that you have the most wonderful Mother's Day!!!

Oh Julie!! I hope you feel better soon... there's nothing worse than a sick mom - especially on Mother's Day! :sad2:

Great update - I love the photopass pictures with the fireworks! Such Magic!

We missed Space Mountain - it was already closed - but honestly I'm kind of glad. I love all rollercoasters, but SM was just way to jerky for me. I always felt the need to visit the chiropractor after a ride. I can't wait for it to re-open - I hope it's a smoother ride. :thumbsup2

the kids and DH are up to something outside for me...as I was sheepishly told by Mae...:goodvibes whatever it is or how I feel it is just nice to be home w/ them.

it was a great unexpectated surprise!

I think that is what I hear...smoother....

Day 2) say Good night! But first a dinner and room surprise….

So we left MK a bit later than I had originally anticipated and was worried my parents would end up having to rush for their surprise and maybe not appreciate the surprise dinner we had set up for them….

It was now a little after 6 pm when we arrived in the room only an hour till the ADR I had made at Maya Grill for them. I quickly got the card I had made and $ (and from my brother and sister) and gave it to my Mom. She was a bit shocked and at first and it did not seem like my Dad wanted to go out to eat…he was tired. I explained if they didn’t want to go we could just cancel (though I’d feel mighty bad) but my Mom said no, no they'd like it and after a quick shower Dad would be happy to go…so we left them to rest and we got situated to go and we went to eat at the Pepper Market for our dinner…I was feeling apprehensive about this too since the last 2 attempts eating here had not been good for Michael and I knew we’d have to eat quick and get back to get the other last birthday surprise ready for my Mom.

I don’t have any notes how our meal went ….so it must have been ok this time. :thumbsup2

Here are a couples pictures of Josefina (Aldine's doll enjoying herself...)

100_2115.jpg

100_2116.jpg

100_2117.jpg

On the way back to our room we peeked in the Maya Grill windows and saw my parents at a cute table for 2. They saw us too and we waved at each other…then we :moped:it back to our rooms…..

And I got out the decorations I brought from home and we got busy hanging streamers across the walls, in the window and from the ceiling…it was some rapid decorating mind you. I was getting worried they might get back soon, so I pulled the door latch over just in case. It was a good thing too because just as we were finishing up and trying to turn the lights off to surprise them my Dad was trying to get in the room....I hurried the kids in our room and Matt un-latched the door and got in our room....

we listened from our side of the middle door...I don't think they had noticed anything at 1st and then we came in and yelled Surprise when it sounded like they had realized there was something hanging from the ceiling!

They were quite surprised and overjoyed w/ all the special things we had put together to celebrate my Mom's b-day at WDW! party:

100_2118.jpg

100_2119.jpg

100_2120.jpg

we then all walked back over toward the food area to refill our mugs and I took a picture of my parents in front of the Maya Grill sign:

100_2124.jpg

100_2125.jpg

I then went to Panchitos to pick up a few things. Now do you remember in the PTR when I wanted the girls to dress up for our Princess Bfast at Epcot? Well earlier today as I was unpacking, Aldine says to me, you packed my Belle gown yes? :confused3

WHAT????!!!!????

No I didn't I thought you didn't want to dress up, you said no....well apparently she had changed her mind and thought she had told me...ugh! :headache:I felt like a bad Mama right now...:sad2: I guess I should have brought that dress figuring she probably would have dressed up once we were actually here.

So since I felt bad about the costume mix up, I bought her one of those cute Princess jeweled crowns like you'd get at the BBB for girls...not cheep mind you either. She picked out one w/ blue gems

100_2945.jpg

I also got Mae a cute MM “jeweled” hair-clip

100_2965.jpg

and a present for a friend of mine who is expecting a little girl later this summer (no not Heidi, actually another Dis friend :goodvibes)

I got back to the room to find some late night chaos irrupting :duck: w/ Mae having an accident....so help I did to get all the kids showered up and off to bed after a long but great day!

I think everyone was down by 9:45 pm. My Dad and Matt went for a walk then too to look around the resort at night, here are some pictures:

Dang it!! How did I not know you had started your TR?? :scared1: I thought I had subscribed to this thread. :confused3

Please forgive me (you should have hollered at me and said, "Where the heck are you???" :rotfl: ). Off to read and get caught up. :rolleyes1

I love your report. Hope you feel better soon!:flower3:

of course I forgive you...I thought you had already stopped by too....well no worries you are here now!

Hi Carrisa!

]I just couldn’t wait another day to start this TR…after seeing how many pages Carissa’s was I was a bit green w/ envy….

Oh man. Now I feel even worse! You gave me a shout out right at the start and I wasn't even around. :sad2:

I'm so sorry Julie! I feel like such an idiot for not knowing you had started.

Okay - I'm all caught up. I loved seeing pictures of CSR especially since I've never been over there. :thumbsup2 Pepper Market looks really cool. Is it CS, but there are servers to wait on you? :confused3

Do you remember in my TR I mentioned that we had to show all of our tickets in order for me to get the giftcard for my birthday? I actually think she asked to see all of the tickets before she even told me my options - so it's not just a fastpass thing I don't think. :confused3

Your meal at LTT looked delicious! We may have to try that one sometime. And what an awesome thing that they all came out singing! See! That's what I wanted at Kona! :rotfl:

Wow - you really made your mom's birthday special - what a great daughter you are.

I hope you're feeling better soon - take care of yourself!

Oh! And those photopass pictures with the fireworks in the background were so awesome!!! :worship:

a little guilt never hurt anyone....JK:goodvibes

it is a CS or QS whatever you like...yes you have a server they seat you and get you your drinks. A menu is given but the food is all set up like reg food court stations and it's self serve. You order pick up and they stamp a card. You pay for everything at the end or deduct your dining credits.

There a pre 10% gratituty but it is included in the DDP unlike a tip at a TS. You can get food to go too.

We really liked all the choices..the kid choices were limited...but you know when they ring up QS creits there is no difference.....:rolleyes1

If you were staying at CSR and not on the DDP I think it would be pretty hefty to eat there regularly the prices are a little higer than say a "traditional" CS or QS....

I think so...that is even weirder....everyone didn't get a g/c did they?

Your meal at LTT looked delicious! We may have to try that one sometime. And what an awesome thing that they all came out singing! See! That's what I wanted at Kona! :rotfl:

Yes no loud singing at Kona...too bad your server didn't do a little something...I mean the plate was cute...but I know you wanted a little spotlight!:goodvibes

Wow - you really made your mom's birthday special - what a great daughter you are.

thank you it was so fun...I can't wait to do some great b-day things for the girls next year...my mind is already spinning...I just read thru a fellow diser's PTR (her girls are younger) ladybugmom but I may "steal" some of her sweet ideas to extend the magic!

I hope you're feeling better soon - take care of yourself!

I am:goodvibes

Oh! And those photopass pictures with the fireworks in the background were so awesome!!! :worship:

Thank you! My DH is going to twik them a little to get the lighting better but I am so thrilled w/ the double shot!

Hi Scrappie!

So sorry to hear you are not feeling so great...the hospital is NO fun! I'm glad you're home and I hope you feel better very soon. Mom being sick is a recipe for disaster!! ;)

Great PP shots of the family in front of the castle! :thumbsup2 I wasn't overly impressed with most of our PP photos...still trying to decide whether to buy the CD or just download a favorite or two. :confused3

I love Aldine's new tiara. It figures she would change her mind..UGH!!

So cool that you were able to "share the magic" at Space Mountain. I LOVE that about Disney...that's what it's all about! Good for you! :goodvibes

The resort at night is beautiful! I love the peacefulness of the quiet resort after a long day at the parks. It's almost the best part of the day...almost!

Looking forward to more, but take care of yourself...we'll be here when you feel better!! :yay:

hi scrappie!
