We've Bounced Back like Tigger SB09 TR NEW 9/11 CLOSING TIME....

You guys on the Dis still are lucky here is another MK installment:

Continuation of Day 2) a Date w/ JACK!

We last left LTT and decided now would be a good time to split up and let my parents, Aldine and I go ride BTMRR, while DH and the other kids check out some things here in Frontierland. Originally he was going to go over to the Shootin Range thing…but we forgot our quarters for this….but luck have it Davy Crocket Donald Duck was out signing autographs and taking pictures:

Donald trying to hide up the Mickey's

Michael was most thrilled as he really likes the Duck! As well Margaret fell asleep in her stroller and they found a bit of shade near Pecos Bill QS and waited for us.

Now DH had the camera so I’m sorry no pictures to share from BTMRR…

It of course is packed tighter than a sardine can :crowded:btwn Spalsh and BT but we make our way over to the FP machines and wait in line for a few minutes to get our b-day immediate returns and are able to go right in the FP queue. :yay: I believe the stand by line was over or close to 60 minutes…I noted we entered the line at 1:35 pm. It didn’t take too long to make our way down to the train loading area and Aldine and I rode together and her little wish of FRONT CAR came true again! :woohoo: My parents went on the next train behind us, last car….

Aldine and I had a great ride and got to wave at my parents as they finished up their ride. We then found Matt and the kids and got some lemonade slushes and a reg lemonade as snack credits before moving on. OH BTW I noted I had 51 snack credits left to use….Now I thought this would be the perfect time to have my Dad take the twins on Splash since Margaret was sleeping but Michael was a bit agitated almost wanting to go back home (the room)…..so we moved on to something else and get out of this busy congested area.

We back tracked toward the cut through path into Adventureland….when my Dis-tag was noticed again by snow.white now at the time I didn’t know her Disname and felt bad I forgot to ask. I was pretty thrilled someone actually knew what that lime green tag and name was all about. I noted in my notebook that she had brown hair, a poka dot hair band and I think a b-day pin….was that even close?

But I am so glad snow.white found my PTR and said hello! My first official ever Dismeet in the Streets!

We walked toward the Enchanted Tiki Bird room now and thought since Margaret was still sleeping that we could see this show while someone waits outside w/ her. DH checked the next show time and it would be in less than 5 minutes. So it worked perfectly, Michael was happy since this was on his TOP 5 list and I made the sacrifice of staying w/ the baby….:rolleyes1

Here are some pic’s from the Tiki room before the show:

I waited in the shade and caught up on some journaling and did some stroller watching for Amy….

They came back and reported it was cute, fun, and laughable. Up next we parked the stroller and got Margaret up and used our b-day FP’s and rode JC. It was pretty crowded in the lines…but the FP queue moved pretty quickly.

Here are some more pic’s from our adventure….

Margaret enjoyed our little cruise and liked pointing at the animals.

After the ride Michael stopped to get a pressed penny:

Then it was finally time for something we’ve waited over 4 years for…..our DATE w/ JACK!!!!

It’s POC TIME>>>>ARRRGGH! Got your Pirate on?

Walking to the queue lines and hearing that distinctive Pirates Theme Music playing (from the movies) was awesome and like pure adrenaline! I was so excited to be riding this ride. As some of you know our trip last in June POC was closed and our trip before that was in 05 they had yet to put in the new POC movie add-ins.

This was going to be FUN!

We opted to go thru the stand-by line of 15 minutes to ride POC and it was a little tough for Michael he began to get antsy and was stimming a bit and swinging his arms which in turn irritated his sisters which in turn irritated him even more….the crazy cycle….and then Mae started getting scared she wasn’t going to like it and saying I don’t want to ride….but we made it to the boats and on we got in and Michael settled down. Mae was still nervous but ok.

The ride was as great as I remember and the new effects were so cool!

SPOILER for any newbies: pass this bit up:

*Especially the smoke/water screen w/ Davy Jones, man that looked real even after riding 2 more times I still don’t know how they did that. And we liked all the new Jack sightings especially the end in the jail cell w/ all his loot singing “Yo-ho a Pirate’s Life for Me!” He looked and sounded so real.*

Ok SAFE Now!

And Mae later commented that POC wasn't scary after all….good for her!

A quick restroom stop and a little sombrero fun before heading out....

Well now it was time to get our BUZZ on and zoom on over to Tomorrowland…..but first something distracted me.

What or who was it?

Up Next: Tomorrowland Fun and something quite amazing well at least to me….

thanks for reading!

J-:)

okay just finally read up on your TR now!

Great details on your two days so far! Great photos and great comments, looking forward to hearing all the tips and this and thats. It will be very helpful as I continue with our planning! I was thinking about trying LTT in Dec. I think everyone seems to like it (at least those with PTR and TRs that I have been reading!)

How many free FPs did you get with your Bday FP ? I know for your whole party, but how many "rides"?

Looking forward to more! popcorn::

Yes! Close but the polka dot hair band were actually little mickey heads LOL and indeed I was wearing a B-day pin.
Thank you for mentioning me in your TR, I was so excited to meet a Diser too!
My DH was shocked that I just walked up to you and started chatting, he asked me if I knew you from somewhere, I had to remind him about the website I spend so much time on and that you were a member as well. Ohh and by the way I really liked your Dis-tag, it's not the typical LGMH from home depot. I tried making my own tag but it got ruined before we even got to the MK parking lot..:rolleyes1
nice meeting you again!:thumbsup2:flower3:

Hi there!
I just found your trip report and am loving it so far!! Your parents are awesome to have taken your whole family to WDW!! I have to say that I started at the actual trip report, but I plan on going back and reading the PTR as I see you are a planner like me, so hopefully I can get some good tips!! My DH and I are going in November and I've already started the itineraries for each park. . . .:lmao: He let's me do it because he know's I'm a compulsive planner. I haven't been to WDW since 2007 and I am so upset that I have to wait until 90 days to do my ADR's!! Well enough about me, I have subbed to your report and am awaiting another update!

It was our 1st time dining there, but I'd for sure go again! early lunch was nice

It was for any of the normal FP attraction rides at that particualr park...so MK you definetly get more forr your buck (so to speak) and I believe you could ride each attraction up to 3 times...

Ahh yes, the "crazy cycle".... I know it well! Very. Well.

Hi and :welcome:

thanks for joining in and reading. Yes I love to plan....this was a fun trip to pull off! I'm just itching till I can go from pre-pre planning for our Nov 010 trip to actual pre-planning and then the final official planning....:lmao:

I understand the 90 ADR mark our June trip trip I made those ADR's 180 out, this trip becuase it was last minute I had no time to think, but was glad to get what we wanted so easily. but I'll be nervous for next year trying to get ADR's around the holiday and we want an ADR at CRT for Margaret's b-day. lots of time to ponder over it!

if you do a TR for your trip I'd love to read it since we'll be going over Thanksgiving the following yr too

TR UPDATE>>>>

Ok so that icky  bug that was going thu my house finally landed on me.... so as no rest for the weary and sick Mom...I may just have to take a real break today and try and get in some recovery time!

Hope to get the rest of MK (day 2) finished and up real soon.

Thanks,

J-

off to couch and watch the original Parent Trap w/ Mae:cloud9:

Hope you get to feeling better!

P.S. The original Parent Trap is SO good! :lovestruc

Aww, bummer!! I hope you feel better soon!:flower3: One question, classic Parent Trap, or updated Parent Trap??

classic w/ Hayley Mills...got to love it!

"Let's get togehter...." :goodvibes

Ok still feeling  but went into the doctor's yesterday since I was experiencing flu like symptoms.... had to wear a mask as a precaution understnad and all but I was like the only one and kinda felt like I had the plague or something...

anyways luckily no swine flu for me...a combo of an upper respitory infection w/ asthma complications and a minor flu issue...of course though becuase of the "piggy flu" as our Disfriend MRYPPNS called it and I have 3 kids in public school I have to stay in for a week and clear of kids...if the kids start getting sick particularly w/ a fever they could potentionly miss up to 7 days of school w/ or w/out the "piggy flu" YUCK!!!!!!!!

seriously no time to be sick! :headache:

so just trying to rest and do the bare minumum of what I need to do in the morning so I can rest/snooze this afternoon. Got caught up on some Dis reports and hope tomorrow to finish writing out day 2) and post it.

thanks for the well wishes and hanging in there w/ me!

J-

Oh here is a :goodvibes thought!

I was just cleaning up Margaret after lunch and she announces to me in her little "2-yr old speech"

"Go to Didney Word!"

I smile and say "Yes, but not now next year for your birthday."

she replies w/ arms in the air:

"My Borthday....Didney Word....my borthday!"

Thanks Margaret I needed that!

The young ones really know how to lift the spirits, don't they? Get better soon!

P.S. I'm so glad that you said the classic, I can still be Dis friends with you!!:rotfl:

Hi Julie!

Just getting all caught up... glad there's no piggy flu for you! You should have seen how often I was using the hand sanitizer during our trip! :rolleyes1 Zachary bites his fingernails so I was really worried about him... but so far so good - no sign of the piggy flu or the Disney flu here (yet). ;)

Alex had to go to the nurse before they let him in school today though... we had a message from our superintendant that anyone who traveled to an effected area over vacation had to be monitored by the nurse. I wasn't sure if they considered Disney an "effected" area but since there was a case diagnosed in Orlando while we were there I would send him to the nurse. The Orlando case wasn't from Disney though. :thumbsup2

Great updates from MK - that's funny that you mentioned looking for underwear - I carried some in our backpack every day and wondered whether it was really necessary (used one pair one day) or if I could just buy some if needed. Glad I carried it with me at that price.

Sorry Michael was having a hard time - Alex had one pretty bad day. :headache: And several other not so great "moments". Zachary did really well (for the most part).

Can't wait to hear more!!

I'm still enjoying reading your thread! Thanks for sharing.:flower3:

I feel bad for your family. That was us last week, and the school was freaking out that I kept DD home with a fever for a few days. They wanted to know who my MD was and everything he said to us. We unknowingly spread it to two little girls in my Daisy troop. I felt terrible for that. My DH was home one day, and I missed work on Sat. Not fun! You will get over it, and feel better than ever, just hang in there.

Aww, poor Scrappie!! Feel better soon!

thchicken-soup.jpg

And how adorable was that widdle two year old??!! :cutie: You're training her well!

Kathy

Hope you feel better soon Scrappie!!! Margaret is too cute...boy I wish I could be 2 again. LOL!
