You guys on the Dis still are lucky here is another MK installment:
Continuation of Day 2) a Date w/ JACK!
We last left LTT and decided now would be a good time to split up and let my parents, Aldine and I go ride BTMRR, while DH and the other kids check out some things here in Frontierland. Originally he was going to go over to the Shootin Range thing but we forgot our quarters for this .but luck have it Davy Crocket Donald Duck was out signing autographs and taking pictures:
Donald trying to hide up the Mickey's
Michael was most thrilled as he really likes the Duck! As well Margaret fell asleep in her stroller and they found a bit of shade near Pecos Bill QS and waited for us.
Now DH had the camera so Im sorry no pictures to share from BTMRR
It of course is packed tighter than a sardine can
btwn Spalsh and BT but we make our way over to the FP machines and wait in line for a few minutes to get our b-day immediate returns and are able to go right in the FP queue.
I believe the stand by line was over or close to 60 minutes
I noted we entered the line at 1:35 pm. It didnt take too long to make our way down to the train loading area and Aldine and I rode together and her little wish of FRONT CAR came true again!
My parents went on the next train behind us, last car
.
Aldine and I had a great ride and got to wave at my parents as they finished up their ride. We then found Matt and the kids and got some lemonade slushes and a reg lemonade as snack credits before moving on. OH BTW I noted I had 51 snack credits left to use .Now I thought this would be the perfect time to have my Dad take the twins on Splash since Margaret was sleeping but Michael was a bit agitated almost wanting to go back home (the room) ..so we moved on to something else and get out of this busy congested area.
We back tracked toward the cut through path into Adventureland .when my Dis-tag was noticed again by snow.white now at the time I didnt know her Disname and felt bad I forgot to ask. I was pretty thrilled someone actually knew what that lime green tag and name was all about. I noted in my notebook that she had brown hair, a poka dot hair band and I think a b-day pin .was that even close?
But I am so glad snow.white found my PTR and said hello! My first official ever Dismeet in the Streets!
We walked toward the Enchanted Tiki Bird room now and thought since Margaret was still sleeping that we could see this show while someone waits outside w/ her. DH checked the next show time and it would be in less than 5 minutes. So it worked perfectly, Michael was happy since this was on his TOP 5 list and I made the sacrifice of staying w/ the baby .
Here are some pics from the Tiki room before the show:
I waited in the shade and caught up on some journaling and did some stroller watching for Amy .
They came back and reported it was cute, fun, and laughable. Up next we parked the stroller and got Margaret up and used our b-day FPs and rode JC. It was pretty crowded in the lines but the FP queue moved pretty quickly.
Here are some more pics from our adventure .
Margaret enjoyed our little cruise and liked pointing at the animals.
After the ride Michael stopped to get a pressed penny:
Then it was finally time for something weve waited over 4 years for ..our DATE w/ JACK!!!!
Pic
Walking to the queue lines and hearing that distinctive Pirates Theme Music playing (from the movies) was awesome and like pure adrenaline! I was so excited to be riding this ride. As some of you know our trip last in June POC was closed and our trip before that was in 05 they had yet to put in the new POC movie add-ins.
This was going to be FUN!
We opted to go thru the stand-by line of 15 minutes to ride POC and it was a little tough for Michael he began to get antsy and was stimming a bit and swinging his arms which in turn irritated his sisters which in turn irritated him even more .the crazy cycle .and then Mae started getting scared she wasnt going to like it and saying I dont want to ride .but we made it to the boats and on we got in and Michael settled down. Mae was still nervous but ok.
The ride was as great as I remember and the new effects were so cool!
*Especially the smoke/water screen w/ Davy Jones, man that looked real even after riding 2 more times I still dont know how they did that. And we liked all the new Jack sightings especially the end in the jail cell w/ all his loot singing Yo-ho a Pirates Life for Me! He looked and sounded so real.*
Ok SAFE Now!
And Mae later commented that POC wasn't scary after all .good for her!
A quick restroom stop and a little sombrero fun before heading out....
Well now it was time to get our BUZZ on and zoom on over to Tomorrowland ..but first something distracted me.
Up Next: Tomorrowland Fun and something quite amazing well at least to me .
thanks for reading!
