thanks

Feel better soon!
Awww...Margaret is so cute!
Hi Julie!
Just getting all caught up... glad there's no piggy flu for you! You should have seen how often I was using the hand sanitizer during our trip!Zachary bites his fingernails so I was really worried about him... but so far so good - no sign of the piggy flu or the Disney flu here (yet).
Alex had to go to the nurse before they let him in school today though... we had a message from our superintendant that anyone who traveled to an effected area over vacation had to be monitored by the nurse. I wasn't sure if they considered Disney an "effected" area but since there was a case diagnosed in Orlando while we were there I would send him to the nurse. The Orlando case wasn't from Disney though.
crazy huh?
Great updates from MK - that's funny that you mentioned looking for underwear - I carried some in our backpack every day and wondered whether it was really necessary (used one pair one day) or if I could just buy some if needed. Glad I carried it with me at that price.
I still carry a pair for Mae...in Margaret's things, just glad they didn't have to go all the way back to CSR....
Sorry Michael was having a hard time - Alex had one pretty bad day.And several other not so great "moments". Zachary did really well (for the most part).
thanks...he had a few moremoments but overall it was a great trip...sorry about Alex too. How did the cards help?
Can't wait to hear more!!
I'm still enjoying reading your thread! Thanks for sharing.
I feel bad for your family. That was us last week, and the school was freaking out that I kept DD home with a fever for a few days. They wanted to know who my MD was and everything he said to us. We unknowingly spread it to two little girls in my Daisy troop. I felt terrible for that. My DH was home one day, and I missed work on Sat. Not fun! You will get over it, and feel better than ever, just hang in there.
thanks... I am, glad to be back on the Dis
Aww, poor Scrappie!! Feel better soon!

Fell better soon!
Well thank you all for all the nice well wishes and hanging in there w/ me....so after several days of just not really feeling any better or feeling my normal meds and the extra stuff was working...I just knew something was not quite right!
Thursday night my breathing began to grow rapidly to signs of distress...anyone who has asthma should know of a little breathing monitor device called a peak-flow. It shows you how much air you can expell from your lungs and can help you monitor when your asthma may be getting bad before it really does...on a normal day I can hit 450 w/ no issues. well 2 nights ago I barely could hit 250. so after a breathing treatment and a restless night of sleep the next morning (yesterday friday 5-8) before my DH ,Matt left for work around 6:30 am I checked my peak flow again and it was not improving. I knew I couldn't wait till the reg doc office opened at 8 am to call so I called my parents and said I need to go to the hosipital. They started getting ready to come over. I called the doc on call and he said go to the nearest ER not come out to the one (20 min away) where my doc is affiliated. So DH tells the twins who are still in bed he has to take me to the ER and Ja-Ja is on his way. He drives me over there which is 5 minutes away and get's me situated then heads back home to meet my Dad then he had to go to work...he felt bad but he was the only one on that day in the office...
My Mom came next and found Aldine making bfast for everyone and a lunch for Michael too

I endured 8 hrs in the ER and recieved 2 IV bags and meds, plus 4 heavy breathing treatments at one point I thought my heart was going to jump right out it was beating so fast...in the end after watching Mythbusters and chatting w/ my Mom (glad she was there) I was released w/ instructions to maintain home bt's for the next 24 hrs every 4 hrs and a heavy course of steriods for the next 2 weeks...the diagnosis...probably that darn flu

The doc felt I was right at the peak and that is why nothing seemd to be helping at home up to this point...as well it could be walking pnemomia again

so how do I feel now?
well leaving yesterday I felt better than I did when I came in to the ER...which is generally a good thing...did I feel better than I did the day before...no, not really. but figure it could have been worse I could be laying in a hosipital bed on the Dis than in my own bed

anyways...he is not concerned about the flu...it's just the FLU...I don't really think I have it..but oh well. Today I feel slightly better...the peak flows are stable at 350-360 which is no real change from prior to the ER stint...but my chest feels a bit looser and I'm not haking up a lung every 10 minutes like before.
so I will stayed holed up in my room today and Mother's day and hope I feel better by Monday to start limping back in my "normal" life again...w/ 3 major things to finish up (school event. church duties, and my bro's engagemnt party) in the next 3 weeks plus DH won CUB tickets for Tuesday night...I have lots to feel better for.
Glad to have great parents to take off their Friday and care for me and my kids and my DH is going to win supper Hubby and Father award after this one....
hoping the steriods will kick in and the chipmunk face bloating won't be a factor...

keep you posted...
OK need to take another bt and then a shower...then I'm going to treat you and myself to some more of this TR w/ some DISNEY FUN!!!!!
Thanks,
J-
