Westjet Premium and YYZ Security question

Does Westjet Premium get you to go through the faster security lineup? (The one on the left when you line up at first and has a big roped area for you to go back and forth before the detectors?)
I remember being able to use this line in the past when I have Air Canada upper class, wondering if it works the same or nope. Thanks

Our only experience with WestJet Premium was last October, in YVR and at LGW. Yes, we were invited to go in the, what I call, "celeb" line. It was very cool and, completely unexpected. We'd lined up with the hundreds of others but, the first person who checked our boarding pass quickly summoned someone who opened the ropes for us and escorted us to the very minimal security queue. It was a little embarrassing, actually, but oh-so-welcome!

Another completely unexpected but, just crazy welcome (especially after 9.5 hour flights), was the priority status of our luggage. It took me the return trip to realize our bags were first off because of our WJ Premium ticket status. Lol - clearly we're just not used to such treatment.

Perfect, this is exactly what I was wondering. With all the security woos I was just checking that Westjet worked like it is for AC (the other shorter line). While I plan to still leave lots of times it will make my blood pressure not go quite as high

We flew Delta/WJ codeshare in May.

When we arrived at security, there was nobody standing at the "Premium" entrance so we just went in the regular line. Once we passed the barriers, it looked like the Premium line just dumped into the regular line anyway, and we still had 1hr 30 of our 1hr 55min layover to go, so we thought "no biggie". In retrospect, the entrance isn't staffed directly - the staff member who scans boarding passes and swipes for gunpower partway through the line - they also keep an eye on Premium and wave people in.

As another poster mentioned, as soon as our boarding passes were scanned, we were sent to a shorter security line, and thank goodness we were. The next phase was US Customs and we BARELY made it through, in the 90mins we had before boarding. As it was, we had to sprint to the gate. If that staff member hadn't sent us to the shorter line, or if we'd stopped for a washroom break - we would have missed the flight for sure.

Long story short - def use the Premium entry, even if it seems like nobody is there, or the regular line isn't overly long. You'll need every second you can get, especially when you have no control over how long your layover is.
