I was reading Barb's trip report on her "Platinum Castaway Club" website, and she mentioned that at two of the ports on the Western cruise you need to set your clock back by 1 hour. (By the way, GREAT trip report Barb!)

We have the late seating on our cruise, so that means we'll be eating dinner at 9:00PM on those two nights. Yikes! We can't win! We did have the earlier dinner seating time and thought 5:30PM would cut into the the daytime activities too much, so we switched to the later seating time.

Oh well! Just thought I'd share this info. since this was the first time I had read about it. I assume these time changes take place at Grand Cayman and Cozumel?

We, too, have late seating but the time change will most likely not bother us too much. Between the kids baseball games and gymnastic practices, we eat that late at least once a week. Just look at it as an opportunity to try a variety of snacks around 6pm or so... like that "All hands on deck" cheese plate from room service :p

Hamburgers, hot dogs or chicken fingers from Pluto's OR pizza from Pinnochio's, too! So, some of these ungodly morning excursion times aren't that bad. 7AM is really 8AM to our bodies. That's good news. I hadn't realized the time change.

The extra hour of sleep was nice-until they took it away on the way back! LOL

Even though our 8:30 dining felt like 9:30, it didn't matter as we were eating every two hours (or so it seemed) and the chicken fingers WERE great!
