Western Caribbean April 30, 2011?

Hi Deb, yes dinner can be an hour and a half to 2 hours :scared1:
We as adults find it way too long. We like to eat and move on. Our cotravlers on the other hand are looking forward to it :confused3

We MAY go to each once. There is just too many other things we want to do. :yay:

Ok, well.... When I said two hours in my original post, I was half kidding. I had no idea that it would ACTUALLY TAKE 2HRS to eat dinner! WOW!

DS can make it through a normal meal at home or in a restaurant, but that is not usually more than an hour. How do other toddlers do with this? Anyone had experience with this?

Debc1212 - hopefully you will be sitting near us because my DS will probably be acting like a maniac during dinner! In a way, its one of the reasons that I am excited about the Disney cruise - with a lot of kids around, I won't feel as judged!

I wish! Everything we need for the cruise we're using now. Shorts, swimsuits, sundresses ... It's been in the 80s in Florida this week so I'm beginning to wonder if my next cruise should be to Alaska, where we can get some use out of our sweaters and something other than flip flops.

In two weeks we head to a wedding in Gatlinburg, TN for a week in the mountains, so that's what we're packing for at the moment. I'm hoping it's a good deal cooler there. Then I'll be ready to come back and pack for the tropics! Two more months! :cheer2:

Besides hubby & I (John & Debbie) we will have our two sons with us (9yo & 1yo). :yay: :yay:

As for packing, I'm w/ audria, we are using our summer clothes here in FL. So, although I haven't done any physical packing, I am packing in my mind, so to speak....:)

Also, I have a box in our bedroom where I have been collecting a few FE gifts that I have found, I guess that counts, right?!

Btw, hope u feel better soon, 4ears.:flower3: Thanks for putting together the list!

Thanks Deb! I am feeling MUCH better, not over it yet though.

Poor DH is right on the couch today! DS 16 had it last week. DS 19 is away at college, he is coming home next weekend and hope we all are well enough to have him around :wizard:

Have a great week all! :goodvibes

I wish I had the same excuse of not packing because I am using my summer clothes! Not so much in Jersey :) However, I have my mental list going so far...

To the cruise veterans, does it get cold in the restaurants on the ship? Just wondering if I will need a cardigan or sweaters to throw over whatever I am wearing...

I've started packing for my granddaughters only because I bought a few new outfits so I figured I might as well put them in their suitcases.

As far as the dining rooms and being cold.... I always bring/wear a sweater because I'm always cold anyway.

Yes I would reccommend something for over the shoulders or upper arms. How ever you would dress in AC ;)

We will be joining you guys on the April 30th cruise. We are celebrating my mom's 79th birthday!

Southerndisney= me (Linda), my mom (Wanda), my sister (Cheryl), my niece (Rachel)

Can someone tell me how the FE works? Have any of you guys sailed the Magic before? I am getting conflicting reports as to whether there are grab bars in the tubs. If not I need to get a handicap accessible room for my mom. Thanks for your help.

Welcome Aboard!!!! :welcome:

This is our first cruise, so I don't know about the grab bars. There are tons of veteran cruisers on the main cruise forum - I would ask over there if no one here can answer your question.
