My condolences Tumsk! We would love to have you join us! As well as any one else! Havnt looked this am but I think we are 42 days from sailing. Did some clothes shopping for me yesterday, need to do a little more and DH has to do his. SO looking forward to getting away...

Ok, so I've actually started packing some things. I feel a bit foolish, though. I am usually one who packs the night before a trip. But for some reason, I feel the need to pack early for this trip.

I've also been shopping A LOT for this trip. There seems to be so much more to buy for this one- FE gifts, pirate stuff.....

So, who else is packing & shopping for a vacation that is a month away.

C'mon somebody else help me not feel so nutty!

I don't think you're foolish at all! I've started packing as well. My two granddaughters are coming with us and I don't like their mom's style of clothes she buys for them so I bought them new outfits... bathing suits... sandals.. etc.. and they are already packed. Next week I am taking the girls out to pick out travel accessories for their suitcases and carry-ons. I work full time so I really need to get things done when I have the time.

I don't think you're foolish at all!! My sister has had stuff in a pile to be packed for 2 months!!! haha seriously, though, my mom said we're going to go out shopping this weekend for "spring" shoes for dinner and stuff, and I need to get some stuff for the FE

Speaking of which, anyone who is involved with the FE, and has children, would you mind PMing me their names, favorite colors and Disney characters? I'm working on something right now, and want to make it as personalized as possible - TIA!

Thanks ladies for chiming in and helping me feel better about the early packing. Glad to know I'm not alone.

I don't know if it's the half-packed luggage sitting around or what.......but my family is getting really excited about this vacation!

Nope not foolish at all! I have a rather large pile in our livingroom. I will weed some of it out though. I still need shorts or capries, not a lot for picking here in Maine still. Today I think I am going to send DCL my tips and excursion $ to already be there.

Sorry to jump in on your thread. I did not have time to go through your post, but I am looking for a DISer here who asked me to do pillowcases for her DDs. I know it was the 30th of April and was on the Magic. I figured she would check the meets thread and this is an easier way to find her then the main boards. The problem is, she sent me multiple PMs and I deleted it before I printed it. I want to say her name is Laura?? Would you please message me as I want to start them this week.

I've been meaning to join for the longest time. Looks like I made it just in time to let Alecia (E&EMom) know to please include my DDs in the FE. Our room is 2130. Whew!
Rachel (iluvtostitch29) - In about a month Leigha will b 3yr11mo (she is so excited, just about every day she asks if we are leaving to go on the ship, its very cute) I'm not sure what her favorite color is, one day its pink, the next day its purple, and the next day it's yellow. She just about loves every Disney character, but I hear her talk the most about Belle, Buzz, Jessie, and Lightning McQueen. Maya will b 21 mos.(who said please for the first time today, also very cute). She likes Minnie, Dumbo and Snow White.
This is DH and my 3rd cruise, DDs first cruise and the family's first Disney cruise. We arrive the night before we sail and will stay at the Wilderness Lodge. I'm debating on whether to keep our afternoon flight home (with one to many layovers) or change it to a direct flight that leaves in the evening. Any one know how long you can stay on the ship on disembarkation day before they kick you off?
Hope we meet up with with you all on the Magic!

I've been researching where to purchase a FE and so far ebay and esty are my only choices. I was wondering if any one had additional suggestions? Looks like atinkerbellmom sells custom pillow cases, but I cant PM her til I build up a few more posts. The feeling I got was the board puts a kabosh on ppl selling homemade Disney themed merchandise?

Does everyone have their FEs yet?

We are not doing the FE's as we have had a lot of unexpected bills lately (oldest in college and expecting our first grandchild )
2qtees, ask us a couple of questions on seperate posts and you will have your numbers in no time

Has anyone else finished their magnets for their door though? I had cute ideas but not 100% happy with the final result. Maybe due to my printer to say nothing about my puter having hickups

Oh, also, my friend is coming with us, and she happens to be the same age as your daughter - I'm sure we could find a time to all meet up and hang out, if she (and your son) feels comfortable meeting other people I don't want her to feel like she has to, though. Looking forward to meeting you!

DD and DS are both happy meeting other people so I hope we get the chance to meet up. Just booked two excursions (Rum point/StingrayCity @ Grand Cayman & Dolphin Push, Pull, Swim @ Cozumel) which it sounds like they'll realy enjoy. We will be in Stateroom 8032.

Yeah, we've made some magnets. Nothing fancy, just a bunch of small rectangular ones printed on magnet paper. They look OK. Our printer is fairly limited. But it was really easy to do and the kids loved being part of it, so I'm happy with them.

I was just noticing that we received a small credit from DCL in our bank account earlier this month. It looks like the bottom line price of the cruise dropped by about $50 total for the four of us?!?!?!!? I've never read anything like that on the DISBoards. Anyone notice anything similar?

DS & DH are doing kayak & snorkel in Key West, and dolphin swim in GC. I wish I could go too, but will be with the little one.

I just told my son that we finally found another boy his age that will be on our cruise, and if the numbering system is the same on each deck, he is staying almost directly above us (we are 7034). DS is thrilled.

Hope kids will have a chance to meet. I know we will be checking out the kid club and nursery during open house after we board. Maybe we will see you there.

No! I held off with the notion that making our own FE would be a nice mother-daughter activity but we haven't gotten around to it yet. We have a few more weeks yet, right?

I got a credit too, only found out when I checked my bank statement as neither my TA nor Disney mentioned anything about it. It was a nice surprise.

Glad to see some movement on the board, I'm getting excited now. 33 days!

I got our cruise docs in mail yesterday & just opened them. THEY CHANGED OUR ROOM!!!!

This is our first cruise. Is this something they do regularly? Why would they do that? When we booked we had 7034, now the docs said we have 8026. Huh?

Now, I'm trying to figure out if the category has changed, and what is above this room.

Any ideas/help on this issue would be helpful! Thanks!

Thanks for replying! I am very excited for the FEs, and just started getting stuff together - I just bought fabric today, and am hoping to whip up something to serve as a FE haha we'll see how it turns out lol
