Hi JOE!

I'm sorry you are all still down. Taylor and I still have the lingering cough but overall are better. Big Hugs from us to you and your family. I'll let lori know that heather is looking for her.

Steph

Are you feeling better today? Did your friend talk some sense into you? :lmao:

NCL as a whole is not a bad cruise line.....I've just heard bad stuff about the Pride of Hawaii.
NCL introduced the Pride of Hawaii in 2006 as a U.S. registry ship to avoid having to go to a non-U.S. port during each cruise. As a U.S.-flagged ship, it largely hired U.S. citizens as servers and stateroom hosts/hostesses. Many of them quit during the initial cruises, walking off at the next port.

I haven't read any recent reviews to see if it has improved.

Hi Steph,
Thanks, Heather has a phone number, but has only been able to leave messages. So if you can get a hold of her, that would be great.

Sorry - I mean the Pride of Aloha. This was prior to 2006.

Good to know. So she is trying to find a job closer to your work so you can move?

Yep. All of her family is up here in Prince George as well so it just would be easier all around. Plus she's been with the same company for over 11 years, so a change of scenery might be welcome.

What about vacation time? We need to go to Rockin Bar D you know!

Hi Pj - I've looked at NCL for this cruise too....but have changed my mind cuz I know 2 different people who went on this cruise and said it was terrible! Service and food were cr ap. I think Holland America does something w/ Hawaii too....I'll look that up and let you know.

Someone I work with did a 14-night Alaska cruise and tour with Princess the same time we were on the DCL cruise. They loved it.

Well, I went to the Butterfly Farm and the Aloe Factory with 2 other Dis'ers on our own, and I was not impressed by the Butterfly Farm. The plants were nice, but the butterflies were almost all imported from exotic places. It wasn't very well organized either.

The butterfly exibit at Lukas' Nursery right here in Oveido is better than that. In my own personal opinion. I enjoyed the Aloe Factory, but I wouln't have paid for the "tour" The museum was interesting, and I enjoyed the shop, too.

Connie

Sukie and I did the butterfly farm on our own and really enjoyed it, but then we had time more to ourselves. We didn't do the DCL excursion because we didn't want to go to the Aloe factory. We took public transportation to the butterfly farm and back.

Getting there. I had a bad week last week, weather was bad all week so had a migraine almost every day and I think the adrenilin (sp?) from the trip finally left so slipped into a little depression. Today it is sunny and warm so my mood is already better.
Carol, I'm sorry to hear this and am glad you're feeling better. Something strange: I had a migraine for almost a week straight on the cruise but haven't had one since.

Who stole the Captains picture, why and where was it?

We gave up when we were supposed to go to Rockin Bar D to ask something of the DJ!!!

Jackie knows for sure, it was something like it was the surfer dude who was the clown (brother) of the artist, can't remember why, I guess because he hated his brother, an age old story.

I wish the dates to participate were made public at the on set, then we could have planned for it. I missed almost everything after the first meeting.

This is my favorite video of the entire trip. A really happy Nan!

I'm wondering how cold it would be in the summer. I thought about it yesterday. I really don't want to have to buy a lot of winter clothes.

As for Brooke, she is caring and crying a lot because now she is worried about losing us. I use to tell my kids not to worry because we would be old when we died but now I know I can't say this anymore. This lady was only 40. She just got diagnosed in November so this was really quick.

oh Gaylean, that is hard  You can tell her that you won't be going anywhere as that is the reality of today and she needs that. I'm so sorry that you are dealing with this loss.

Tammy, I was wondering about you today. I hope things are going well for you back home.

Hi everyone.

Sorry I have not posted earlier. We all have been sick since leaving the Magic. Heather is well, but Cameron and I are still not 100%.

I wanted to thank all those that made our trip so wonderful. Especially our tablemates for giving us those special times that we will remember for a lifetime.

I will try and catch up on some of your posts to see how all of you are doing. Lori, if you happen to read this, Heather is trying to track you down.

Thanks,
Joe

Joe:

So sorry you & Cameron have been sick. Wilson misses Cameron please tell him hello from Wil. I have some cute pictures of the boys and will email them to Heather soon.

Take Care
