We're Up to BAT!

I made a ressie yesterday for one night at the GF Garden View for Christmas Day but phoned this am and asked if they could apply "BAT"

They did!

More money to spend at the World!

Just called and waited about 10 mins. I changed our existing res. @ CBR 11/19-11/24. We orig. had AAA rate of $118.60 per nt & w/ the BAT code we now have a rate of $94.80 per nt. We saved a total of $119.00 and I am sooooo excited! Thanks again everyone for the heads up! I love the DIS boards!!! :Pinkbounc

Called starting at 6:58 this morning. Got answered at 7:02 and was on the phone (not my fault) with CM Posey who was having computer problems until about 7:35. She was great! We had an exisiting reservation at the POP for December 1st - 4th. We applied BAT to that and got an additional night at the ASMo, where wew know our son will love sleeping with woody and Buzz! Wish everyone else luck!

God bless!

Thanks for the welcome Ciera. I see you're a Robin too! Okay, I'm about to try to call back and release a Woods View at the WL for 10/6 through 10/10. It was a courtesy hold that I forgot about. Maybe they'll let someone who needs the room use BAT for it!

YAHOO

DH has just come off the phone - got straight through - calling all the way from Bonny Scotland. Have booked 2 nights POFQ, 2 nights WL ( woods view ) and 2 nights AKL ( savannah view ) for total $948 tax included. Saved ourselves a massive $760. Even got a king bed at POFQ i think - DH reported - we've got queen beds at WL/ AKL but a BIG bed at POFQ!!!
Managed to book for MNSSHP for the 8th to boot.

Can't wait :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Wow, all the way from Scotland! Isn't there a EuroDisney? Have you been there? If so, what's it like?

(And there's a Tokyo Disney too, right? I remember "The Simpsons" making a joke on the show about how empty Toyko Disney is):wave2:

Called the toll-free number at 7am EST, on hold 10 minutes. Took 40 minutes to fix 3 reservations and definitely worth the time! However, some of the resort discounts aren't as good as in the past. Must have to do with how full the resort is.

11/27-12/1 Poly LV $305 plus tax
11/25-11/27 CS LV $100 plus tax
11/27-12/1 Pop $55 plus tax

We originally booked 5 + 2 for early Nov but decided to change to early Dec... Waited & waited for codes but decided to book w/ just AAA,, today got BAT for another $ 160.00 off. 5 @ POR & 2 @ AKL DSV,,, Good thing we booked before because CM told me AKL deluxe rooms were gone ??? ,,, Hope everyone has a great time--- Now waiting for Monday to start w/ PS's........

I've got a 1 Bedroom Villa booked at the Boardwalk from Sun 10/3- Sat 10/9. Has anyone on the boards tonight heard about any success in getting codes applied to the Villas??

I really like that hot tub. ;)

Went through the process like most - called - busy - called - disconnected - called - got through - disconnected - then finally got through after trying for about 30 minutes. My CM Virgil tried getting stuff for me. Had me on and off hold for some time, then came back and said, computers are down, could I call back in TWO HOURS! Yeah right. I hung up kept trying on three different lines. Eventually got a good CM ( Vida or Vada ) and changed from ASMovies preferred at regular rate ( no pref. rooms left by 7:30 Central time ) to ASMovies standard with BAT for our October stay. Saved us $385.

Scenario had I waited and called back after 2 hours like good old Virg said:

CM: Sorry there is nothing left for your dates.

Me: What, I missed out on the AP yesterday and now I missed out today. But Virgil said I could call back and everything would be okay.

CM: snicker, snicker, laughing, I'm sorry but thank you for calling WDW and have a magical day.

I used BAT on existing ressie at POP!!!!! Saved $125.27!!!!!! Im so excited....this is better than sex!!!! YAAAAAAHHOOOOOOO!!!!

:Pinkbounc I called WDW using my cell phone after 9pm tonight and only held for about 3 minutes! Using code BAT on three rooms for five nights (Dec. 16- 21) at Pop Century, we saved a total of 367.80! That will help a bunch! I am so thankful for you on the Dis boards and Mousesavers for all the information I get!

THANKS TO ALL!!!

Sending more Pixie Dust your way!:sunny:

Purplebelle -

You are right there is a EuroDisney just outside of Paris. We've been there a couple of times and it is good fun but nothing compared to WDW. It really only takes a day to get round the park although there has since been a version of MGM Studios opened last year.
We love coming to the States - this year we fly into Miami and tour the Keys and coast before making our way up the the World. Can't wait!!

Is anyone else as pissed at Disney as I am? I could not get discounted rates for my WL stay 11/27 to 12/4, even for any of those days at all. I wouldn't care if it weren't for those d@mn pin code numbers they were blessing select customers with. There is no way I'm going to pay $186 for my room when they handed out PIN codes for $121 a night for the same room!! I played all the games, I waited patiently for the codes to come out and had my Disney specialist travel agent call first thing, and no codes for WL at all for those weeks. Why should Disney be the ones who decides who gets the discounts based on their "marketing" ploys?

I am bringing my DH to WDW for the 1st time, and he isn't thrilled about going. He'd rather go on a hiking or biking vacation, which we also enjoy. But I want to take the kids (6 and 4) to Disney. So, fair enough. We're saving $3500 to do it, more than we've ever spent on a vacation. I want him to have the best experience possible so that he'll want to go back. WL would give him that. It's has a woodsy feel, with all the timbers, etc. He would love to ride the boat to MK, and go over to Fort Wilderness. With that experience I really think he'd look forward to going back. If we can't stay at WL we'd have to stay at PO-R, which would just totally ruin it for all of us. I mean, it looks nice enough, but having to take a long bus ride to get to anywhere is not going to make for a happy husband (or me either for that matter).

But I'm not paying $186 a night when other people are paying $121!!!!!! Like I said, it would be one thing if it was "first come first served" and we missed the opportunity. But DISNEY is deciding who gets those discounts by their ridiculous marketing ploy, and that just doesn't cut it with me. And I'd still say the same thing if I had been given a code.

Anyway, am I alone? If we hadn't already told the kids we were going I'd scrap the whole trip. Seriously. Anyone have any great reccomendation for staying off-site?

Sorcha

I used BAT code for POP 12/11-12/19 and saved $135.00 over AAA rates I already had. 3 rooms total. ::yes:: ::yes::

You really need to relax! If you get yourself stressed out like this, you will hate your entire vacation!

I, like you, also did not get the e-mail discount. I called the morning the discounts came out, and luckily got the discount for the whole stay (dates where a lot of people did not). There are, however, a lot of poeple who get discounts later after they have been released-- don't give up, and maybe they will come through!

If cost is a factor, have you considered a value resort?? I know a lot of people were getting great discounts at pop century, and you will probably pay the same or more offsite without the benefits of a Disney resort.

As for offsite resorts, there are several that offer suites with lots of room, but you may end up paying more than you listed since this fall/winter seems to be rather busy. Try continuously checking Orbitz for deals-- they have the occasional "Orbitzsaver" which can offer huge deals. I got the Hilton in Downtown disney, Concierge level, for, I kid you not, $25/night once. It's a nice hotel, nothing special (I certainly wouldn't pay $150+ for a room htere), but for $25, and concierge?? It was great!

Well, I'm mad right now - I hate when I am (and anyone else not blessed with a PIN) treated unfairly.

I can only hope. I know alot of people are cancelling their WL reservations because there are very few discounts.

Never - as my post states the whole point of staying at WL is for atmosphere and convenience. I would get neither at a Value resort .

Thanks for your reply and suggestions for off-site -

sorchamac,
I can totally understand your frustration. The last 2 years in a row I have went to disney and have been very lucky to do so b/c my BF just does not really like it but he know how much I love it so he is going. I asked him if we went this year what resort would he want to stay in (we have only ever stayed at moderates) well he mentions the CR. I love that resort and have always wanted to stay there too, then the fairytale 7 for 5 deal came out so I went ahead and booked it along with one room only right before the package deal starts. After I booked it I almost fell over when I saw the price. Just about 3,000. We have never paid that much for a vacation (and we have gone to Islands for all inclusives vacations and never paid this) but I didnt want to complain to him b/c then he really wouldn't want to go since I had to beg hin in the first place. The room only I paid rack rate for 412.25 for a tower room. When I told my boyfriend he about flipped...he couldn't believe how much I was paying for a disney trip. But I wanted so bad to stay at a place he wanted to go since he didnt want to go in the first place. Then the codes came and I thought great...I can cut my room in half if a code comes out...neeedless to say I only saved $36. Though its not much it is something but not the amount I was hoping for. They didnt have any tower rooms available when I called although I heard others get one for half the price :(. The only thing they had was a tower club room which supposidly is better b/c it is conceirge so I took it only b/c it was actually cheaper then the regular tower room that I paid for. This trip will be it for a while as I have used every paycheck to pay for it and its still not paid. Is it worth all this money and aggravation...who knows I just hope to have a great trip and try not to think about how much I just spent.
