Since we had a little bit of time to kill and wanted to warm ourselves up a bit, we headed back into Innoventions. Some of the adults were interested in test driving the Segways. I had checked the time and realized that it was time for the Disney Visa Meet and Greet. So while everyone else was riding around on two wheels, the munchkin and I headed over to get in line. Lucky for us, it was a pretty short line.
The cast member took one look at my little princess in her Minnie Mouse hoodie with her Minnie Mouse pendant necklace and said, let me guess
.is your favorite character Minnie Mouse?
And my little girl looked at him shyly and nodded her head in confirmation. When we asked him who was behind the curtain, he said it was a surprise. Soon we had reached the front of the line and the cast member said it was just going to be a few minutes, they were waiting for a special friend to arrive.
I hadnt done the Visa character meet before so I wasnt sure what to expect. I didnt know if we would just see one character or more, but I was hoping it would be someone my little girl would like. Imagine our delight when we walked in and saw not one, but two characters waiting for us Minnie Mouse and Goofy!
She headed straight into the arms of Minnie Mouse.
She seemed just as happy to see Goofy, too.
They hugged it out for a little while.
Then it was time for some posed pictures and our little girl just had to hold Minnies hand.
She had taken off the Minnie Mouse sweatshirt at this point, but if you look carefully, you can just make out her Minnie Mouse pendant necklace. She wore that everyday while we were in Disney.
I even got in one photo myself, but really, I think my little girl stole the shot here. She is just too cute sometimes (but I am biased).
I mean, do you see her little pose?
Poor Goofy, he was a bit off to the side by himself there, but it was kind of hard to compete against Minnie Mouse.
Especially after Minnie handed her a sheet of special stickers.
Thank you Minnie Mouse!
I love you, Minnie Mouse!
Dont worry, Goofy, you get another hug, too!
That was well worth it! I had a hard time picking out which picture to get printed. Good thing I had preordered the cd- totally worth it this trip!
By this point, the rest of the group had finished up with the Segways and were playing around with the video game area. We reconvened and made our way to the front of the park. We hopped on Spaceship Earth one last time and then exited the park.
To be honest, I cant remember what we did exactly after this. We said goodbye to our friends in the parking lot, but after that, my memory is a bit fuzzy. All I do know is that we ended the evening at the Wilderness Lodge (and that is only because I have the photo to prove it). This is what happens when I dont write anything down and try to write this TR almost 8 months later. Whoops.
Anyways, my husband had never visited the Wilderness Lodge and I could tell he was impressed as soon as we entered the lobby. He was pretty much awed by the architecture inside.
I, of course, had to pose for the obligatory photo with the totem pole in the lobby.
My little point and shoot camera on this particular setting does not do the lobby justice.
We walked around a bit, took in the atmosphere, and checked out the menu for Artist Point. After our experience at Flying Fish, we were debating changing our remaining ADRs to fit in another signature meal. We have found that resort hopping is a fun way to end our days at Disney, especially when the parks close so early during the off season.
