We're touring Disney like a 3 year old (2TRs in 1!)- UPDATE 5/18 pg. 46

The final entry? How sad!

I love how you summed up your feelings about Wishes. I have those same sentimental feelings :goodvibes

How cute that the little one found one last princess to visit :cutie:

Thanks for another great TR! Looking forward to the next!

That last day does always stink! You're right, you definitely don't feel the same entering the MK on your last day versus your first! But it does sound like you guys had a nice end to your trip though! I'm sad to see your TR ending, I really enjoyed reading it!! :goodvibes

Aww this is making me sad :( Leaving is the WORST. You're so right about seeing the sign and feeling all bittersweet. Wahh I miss it I wish I could go back and never leave. :sad1:
That sunset is really beautiful! You lucked out getting a nice one on your last night.
Yay for the parade! And I SO agree about MM&Y and the feeling you get when you watch them. It's just indescribably magical and perfect. God, I miss it.
Wahhh leaving is so sad :sad1: But it sounds like you had a great trip!

Yes, the last park day is always so bittersweet. I am always so sad leaving at the end of the night.

I am glad you agree about MM&Y! Between that and wishes, I get so many goose bumps and just feel so happy. They are Disney shows at their best!

Yes, we had a fantastic trip and the Auguts one was fun, too.

Awww last night. So sad!
Those sunset pictures are beautiful! Ya know, something I noticed about riding the ferry is that you can see the castle SO clearly and then you get up to the entrance and the train station and you can't see it at all! It's pretty cool, but odd.

OH GOSH I feel the exact same way about Magic Memories and You. I don't even know what it is about it. Just the combination of everything, just like you said. I cry if I even hear that song. So beautiful!

I'm excited to hear about your August trip! :)

Oh my gosh, that's so funny, my photos on the ferry actually show that - the castle in the distance and then disappearing, then popping back up. But I didn't post the disappearing castle pic. I didn't think anyone would catch that - haha. Good eye!

Yay, another person that understands why I get all emotional watching that show!

Yes, the August trip will be more about highlights and stuff, but I am excited to share the Harry Potter pics, and of course - more characters with the little one.

We always finish our trips the same way!! Except we get goodies from sleepy hallow :) what made you decide to return in august?! How exciting! We are currently booked for our annual trip in august...but crazy airfare prices may keep us away till 2013 :(

Isn't it the best way to finish the trip? We actually weren't planning on going back in August, but we had plans to do a big family vacation with my sister-in-law's family (more like going to a nice beach) that morphed into an Orlando trip. So how could we resist?:confused3

Haven't had much Dis time lately, but I'm still here.

I refuse to be sad about this TR ending since there'll be an August one (right? :lmao:)

Love that she had to get one last princess pic!

Thanks for still reading! Yes, I feel like while I still pop on quickly on the Dis, I haven't had as much time as I would like to respond and update. Maybe now that the holidays are over and I have finished reading the Hunger Games, I'll be more producutive. I am useless while reading good books.

And yes, August will be tacked on soon and of course there will be more character pics to come!

Lovely ending to your TR. I know exactly how you felt about leaving. It's always so hard. That's why I always have another trip lined up before I go. It takes the sting out of leaving.

That hotel really is beautiful. What a bonus to stay there for the night. Great idea.

Love the picture of your little girl and her airport princess.

I always try to have another trip planned before leaving, but it never works. Ironically, we always end up going back within a year. I don't know how long that will last, but we are enjoying it while we can!

Seriously, she would pose with a cardboard princess. no joke. She had me snap a picture of her on my phone with her and a Tangled display at Best Buy once.

Boo to end of trip!

I know. But I will be writing about our August trip at the end of this one!

I am always happy to hear that I am not the only emotional and sentimental one when watching these shows.

She always finds the princesses no matter where we are or what store we are in. And she always has some sort of princess sock or accessory on. Such a Disney girl!

Yes, should be able to start writing about the August trip soon. Too bad we never got our Dismeet photo!

Thanks! I need to hop over to your TR that I see that you have just started. Sad that you are back? I confess, I barely had time to follow your trip on FB, either. Just that first photo.

Yes, I just started!! I thought I'd wait a couple of days, but I was too excited to just get it going! I am a little sad to not still be in Disney! The weather was SO nice, and now it's all icy here!

I think I maybe only posted 4 photos on FB! I did warn you that I wouldn't be good at the live updates! I just always forgot to take pictures with my phone! :rotfl:

Hi Staci! Welcome back to the DIS, I've missed you on here.

Glad that you liked TR so far. She has grown so much, it's crazy. Just wait....kids grow so fast! And yes, touring with a little one is totally different. And do I spy a trip in your future? I've never gone with an infant before, but I see them all the time at the parks.

She is totally in her glory around characters.

I missed being on here. At my last job there was TONS of time for messing around on the internet. This new one? Nope. But I just have to get back on in time for our new trip!! YES--we're going in December! I'll start a PTR right after we finish our taxes. It'll be my reward.

Your luau breakfast pictures were so adorable! I still can't get over how cute your little girl is with all of the characters! And woo-hoo for getting to go back in August! Will you have a PTR or TR?

I jumped in just a few seconds ago! The weather is so frigid right now with the wind chilll that I would love to be in Disney now too!

That's okay about the updates. I always take pics on my phone, but never post them until I get back.

Hi Staci! I am so glad to see you back here! It was fun to read a bit about your plans on your blog (which you have been way better about keeping up with than I have with mine).

Oh, the August trip I was mentioning already happened. This TR was for last Feb. and we ended up going back in August to Orlando with family. The main reason was to see the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, but of course, I had to finagle a Disney day or two in for my little princess. ;) You guys should try to fit in a Harry Potter day - you would love it!

I hear it all the time. “I don’t think you should bring a kid under 5 years old to Disney.” “They are so young, they probably won’t even remember it!” Well, as a quic recap of our February trip, I thought I would list some of my favorite moments to explain why we do it. Why we bring our little girl to Disney.

4. This face says it all.

To see how excited my little girl gets at a parade and at spotting Mickey and other characters, that is priceless to me. Worth it.

3. Where a kid can be a kid.

Sometimes it’s just as simple as letting her be a kid.

ry%3D400

Her happy face makes me happy. Worth it.

2. She really does remember it.

ry%3D400

To this day, she still talks about taking little Annie to see big Annie. She keeps making plans to bring Annie back to Disney so that she can have big Annie put her in her pocket again. (I dread telling her the news that the Little Einsteins aren’t there anymore).

And seeing a favorite character of my daughter’s take her by the hand to have a little private moment with her brought a silly, sappy grin to my face. Worth it.

1. The ultimate character interaction.

My little girl has her idols. At the time of this trip, it was Jessie. Jessie was who she strived to be for 2 years. For her to get the chance to meet Jessie, and in her costume, she was in heaven. And I was in tears.

It doesn’t get much better than that for us.

Definitely worth it.

And that, in a nutshell, is why I brought my 3 year old to Disney.

Next: stay tuned for the August trip portion of this TR!

I couldn't agree more!! And love all the pictures to proove it! How many months was your daughter on this trip? My daughter has been at 15 and 26 months....and this august will have just turned three so I'm wondering what that will be like.

Oh my goodness what a wonderful wrap up! :goodvibes

You know how adorable I think your little one is and any one of those pictures could be in a Disney ad campaign!

Thanks for sharing another of your beautiful family's vacations :)

In February, she was just a little over 3 years old. We have taken her at 22 months, and 2 1/2 years also. She definitely remembered a lot between her last few trips, so it was so much fun, but more difficult if we were trying to trick her about things.

Thanks Dawn! That's funny, I have debated submitting a pic and memory onto the Disney site. Thanks for reading, you know I love reading yours as well.

So adorable! I don't question anyone who takes their young kids to Disney. I AM TOTALLY GOING TO. I really enjoyed this trip report and I'm looking forward to the August portion! :thumbsup2

Perfect.

I couldn't agree more. :goodvibes Looking forward to reading about the next trip!

aw the last update was so cute. Love it and can't wait to hear about the august trip

I just happened on your trip report today and loved it! You have a beautiful family and I just love your daughter she is adorable! I do have a confession to make, I really really want to read your tr to Harry Potter. I want to go so bad unfortunately when we go in August this year my husband doesn't want to go b/c of the ticket price and he thinks the kids are too young for Universal. He's already having a mini heart attack over the cost of the Disney tickets. So I need to live vicariously through you! Can't wait to read the rest of your TR! :cheer2:

What an adorable and perfect and wonderful wrap-up to your trip! Your daughter absolutely seems like she loved and appreciated and will remember her trips to Disney! Can't wait to hear all about your August trip!

I agree, all of those pictures pretty much sums up why it's worth taking a kid under 5 years old!

Loved your TR! Like always, of course. :)

It's almost time for us to making our dining ADR's, then I"ll start a PTR!!

I'm glad that you're going to be writing about your August trip too! I can't get enough of that cutie of yours. I agree with your post about bringing toddlers. Joaquin went for the first time when he was 22 months old, and he remembered it. He would see pictures and say "look, that's when we went to Disney World together!" Kids are so much smarter than people give them credit for.
