One of my favorite Disney commercials is "Anticipation." It features two little kids up late, wondering about how magical their Disney vacation (which is obviously beginning the next day) will be. When their mom catches them up and tells them they're supposed to be in bed, the little boy falls back on the bed, unable to contain himself, saying "We're too excited to sleep!"

That is SO me! :) (Well, there's the "I have a million things to do and one last work thing and where in blazes are the annual passes and I'll just give myself a quick pedicure but oops now I can't get in bed...and so on" that keeps me up, too!)

I'm lucky if I get any sleep the night before a Disney vacation. How many other bleary-eyed fanatics are with me?

(10 hours, 26 minutes til take off!)

I never sleep, period, but I would not be sleeping before a Disney trip either.

Have so much fun and kiss Mickey for me!!!!

I guess I'm a member of the no sleep club as well. We drive and leave around two or three in the morning. I send DH off to bed very early while I run around the house checking for anything forgotten. Just too darn excited to sleep anyway. I can do that in the car. LoL

Have a wonderful trip. I so envy you leaving now!

When we do the 3 am departure, add us to the no sleep group as well.

That was such a cute commercial! Thanks for sharing it with us.

I never get any sleep the night before although each time I vow that I will. I'm too busy and excited to sleep! Have a great trip!:wizard:

That IS a great commercial... very authentic feeling. Alas, we don't have pretrip excitement any more. But I am thankful we did when our kids where kids. We look forward to our stays, but it is all so familiar now that there are really no surprises. And that is a good thing in our book. :cloud9:

While that is a great commercial and true to me as well. I love the one with the lady on the elevator with the stroller and the little boy who keeps talking about Disney. The stranger on the elevator comments to the mom who says that they returned sometime ago. The she comments on the baby in the stroller and calls him "there little souvineer" and says that we all had a great time. NOW THATS A VACATION!

Also part of the "too excited to sleep club" I had to laugh....DH and I for our 8/07 trip decided to take an 11am flight so that could "sleep in" Our friend was picking us up, we went to breakfast and planned to be at the airport around 10am. (it's only a 25 minute drive to the airport) and our friend was coming over at 8am. DH was up at 6am and I was in the shower by 6:30am....last time we take a later flight!! We're flying out at 6am sharp in 23 days and I can't wait!!

This thread made me laugh so hard...because...that is our favorite commercial. My DD and I use that 'little boy' voice when we are getting ready for our next trip. I am glad to know that we are not the only ones loving the Disney commercials.

Have fun...DH and I leave on 12/7 and the sleeplessness is already beginning!!!

I try but I can never get any sleep the night before our flight. I always vow to have all details taken care of two days prior to departure so that the day before, I can just relax and get to bed early. We've done two trips to WDW and it hasn't happened either time and I don't expect it will next August.

Honestly though, as much as I stress the night before I actually don't mind staying up:goodvibes . I don't think I'd get any sleep anyway.

Unless we leave at 2 am, I can't sleep. If we do leave at 2, I then am dead tired by about 2:15:goodvibes

DW and I are also members of this "No Sleep Club", and WE LOVE IT.
The night before our trips is always so exciting.:)
