We got to the MK and were waiting for the party to start, and started to feel a little hungry, so we grabbed some ice cream at the Main Street Ice Cream Parlor.
This is the Nestle Toll House Cookie Dough Swirl. I LOVE THIS ICE CREAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I had tasted it on Main Street a few years back and just loved it, even though it IS Edy's and not home made or anything. So imagine my delight when last year I saw it in my local grocery store. DH and I got so excited that we began hording it. Every time it was on sale we'd buy four or five of those things, we just couldn't stop. But about 6 months ago A&P decided they were no longer going to carry this wonderful ice cream, and we have been going through withdrawals ever since. Naturally, we had to stop in and get a dish on this trip!
Ice Cream: $2.69
DH then decided that ice cream wasn't substantial enough, so he wanted a Turkey Leg.
He had never shown much interest in these before, but over the summer at the Renaissance Faire up here, he decided to try one. He declared that one 'gross' with no taste, and I insisted that the ones at Disney were PACKED with flavor and that he wouldn't be disappointed with those. So on a whim as we were traipsing through Frontierland, he stopped and got a turkey leg, which he was really pleased with. He said it was excellent and MUCH better than the one at the Renaissance Faire, and that it could be a good meal by itself. He even was laughing about how it was so much better... go figure. On a side note, he got one at Epcot the next day, and didn't like it at all, saying it was too tough with no flavor. I guess the lesson to be learned is that the turkey legs in Frontierland are the best in the World!
Turkey Leg: $5.49
Later that night, as if we hadn't eaten enough all day, we stopped in to Scuttle's Landing for another of our FAVORITE snacks at the MK - a sweet cream cheese pretzel.
These are so great. A soft, warm pretzel stuffed full of melt-y cream cheese with a hint of sweetness. What's not to like!?!
Pretzel: $3.79
