"We're keeping the moon!" Another Nikki and Tom Adventure! TR link PG. 37!!

Love the gift bag for Tom's niece Nikki! I bet she will love it :goodvibes

I'm making gift bags for DH's family again, just finished buying everything for them - now need to put it all together! I'm going to hand them out the night before we go as we'll all be at my inlaws house.... only 39 days away now, August is coming up sooo fast :wizard:

Thank you for sharing it all with us! As usual it was a very fun read ;)

Awesome bag of stuff!

I have a question about the flip-flops! Reef's offer enough support for walking and standing all day? I have a pair but they are pretty thin.. I highly doubt I could stand on my feet after walking in Disney with them...

Just wondering if it is certain Reef's that work for you or any of them?

I think the bag you put together is AWESOME!!

I absolutely hate when I can't get that one ADR I need! We aren't doing any as of yet so who knows, lol. I do like your song though!

Have you done mini golf before? We did Winter Summerland this time and I liked it better than Fantasia.

Love your song! Now any time I hear Rosanna I'm gonna be thinking O'hana, O'hana :rotfl2:

Haha!! :thumbsup2

Congrats to your sister and her family!!!

That's so nice of you to put together that bag :) I'm sure she is going to have an amazing time

Thanks! Yes, I think it's going to be AWESOME!

I can't wait to give it to her. That's so great that you're making goodie bags for Steve's fam! I can't believe it's so close now!

Wow your hair was long! Awesome that you donated it!

Thanks!

Yes! I love Reefs. I can walk around in them all day in WDW. The ones I have a pretty thick and have a thick strap. They are one of 2 styles - Sandy or Lily.

Haha, glad you like the song. It is really annoying though!

Okay, so which on is at the Swan/Dolphin? I think that's the one we're going to do only because it works on the plan to play mini-gold and then go to Epcot afterwards.

That's Fantasia. We did that one a couple years ago. The other is by Blizzard Beach, but Fantasia does make more sense with your plans!

This might be crazy talk but I'm thinking about canceling my Le Cellier lunch ADR. I had been looking forward to the steak sandwich since they had put it on the menu but on our last 2 trips, we just couldn't fit it in. I looked at the menu tonight and it's gone. What am I gonna get, a freaking hamburger? Ugh!! Back to the drawing board. Any suggestions on good lunch places in Epcot?

My suggestion for lunch at Epcot is Via Napoli.

We had lunch there on this past trip. I actually just said to Tom, "mate we should just do Via Napoli again!" Sooo good!

Oh, I almost forgot to tell everyone!! (Was reminded from another TR!)

I totally chopped my hair off the other day!! It was getting really long and hard to manage. Even putting it up in my signature bun was becoming painful because I had so much hair and it was really heavy. I never ever wear it down because it takes forever to dry it and then straighten it. I put it in a braid every day so as much as I love my long hair, no one ever really saw it.

So about every 2 or 3 years, I chop it and donate it. (If you followed my honeymoon TR, you may remember that was the last time I chopped it! Right after the trip!) And then never cut it again. (Well maybe a trim once or twice.)

So here is the before picture......

Here is the chopped off ponytail....

And here is the final look!

I actually really like it! It's very easy to dry and run the straightener through just a few spots to lessen the frizz. It's still JUST long enough to put in a pony tail so I think it will be really good for Disney!

It looks awesome! I also let my hair grow and then chop & donate. I did it once in Feb 2008 right after my daughter was born. Then in Sept or Oct 2010 right before I started my current job. It's due for another chopping pretty soon, because it is heavyyyy and gives me headaches. And as you mentioned, it's too long to dry and straighten..it would take ages. So it is pulled back in a bun or a braid every day.

My daughter's hair is also super super long and I want to have her donate her hair as well, but I'm having a hard time picturing her going from to-her-butt hair to shoulder length. That, and she thinks she is a brunette Rapunzel right now, so she's attached to her hair as well!

But anyway, that's really nice that you donated your hair! Did you do locks of love or another organization?

A little off topic but for anyone who has an iPhone I just found an app called Disney Memories (it's free!!) and you can add Disney borders, and some characters to pics you take on your phone. It's not nearly as expansive as photo pass but it's free :)

I just downloaded it and you're right!! This will make it so much easier to feed my addiction throughout the day

My lunch choice in Epcot is Biergarten and then I am torn between Via Napoli and Le Cellier but they are a choice for dinner as we will mostly be roaming the food booths for lunch!

My choice for lunch in EPCOT would have to be Rose & Crown for their fish & chips. But I guess it depends on what kind of food you're looking for. I can't think of anywhere that would have something like a steak sandwich unless maybe you went outside of the park for lunch. Of course there is always the ham & cheese sandwiches from Boulangerie Patisserie or Chefs de France.

I've been MIA (vacation at the family cabin in Michigan) so it's fun to come back and see all this stuff!!! Love planning a new trip!!! I actually go next Friday for 10 days :cool1: But have to deal with 14 family members for the first 6 - but hey, it's Disney so I can manage ;)

I totally remember the last time you cut it!!! Your hair grows FAST! I will only let my stylist cut my hair twice a year after she chopped off my hair but it's not nearly as long as yours. It is curly though so it just curls up rather than extending down my back :upsidedow I really think it is great you donate your hair too. That is such a nice gesture!! And your hair looks AWESOME!!! So double goodness :thumbsup2

So I finally finished my little bag for Brianne! I don't know if I mentioned before but (as you all know) I'm a little obsessed with Vera Bradley and I was buying a diaper bag for my sister (who's pregnant again!) and I saw that they had these "Ditty bags" on sale for just a few dollars. They are lined for your toiletries so I thought, GREAT! I'll get one for Brianne for packing. Well, when it arrived I was very surprised at how BIG the bag is! I thought it was going to be small.

So since it was big, I decided to make her a little bag 'o fun things for the trip!

Here's the bag all filled with goodies......

IMG_1535-1.jpg

And here's what's inside!

IMG_1536.jpg

*1 pair of Reefs (my preferred footwear in the parks!)
*1 pair of cheap Old Navy flips for the pool
*A memory card (We're going to let her borrow one of our cameras and then she can keep the card.)
*A rain poncho
*Toothbrush
*Toothbrush holder
*Lotion
*Shower poof
*Mouse World Travel lanyard with plastic pouch AND Vera wallet (I do this and it's awesome! I keep $, gift cards, ID, etc. right on my neck!)
*And finally, a packing list. One side of things she needs to bring for herself, one side of stuff I will bring for all of us, unless she wants to bring her own (soap, shampoo, razors, etc.)

I can't wait to give it to her! I think she'll be really excited. I don't know if I've mentioned this before, but not only will this be her first trip to Disney World, this will be her first time pretty much on ANY vacation! She's never even been on a plane before. Should be really fun!!

WAY TOO CUTE!!!! I'm changing my dates and coming with YOU ::yes::

What??? We eat lunch at Le Cellier all the time, you can get the filet! I know it's a little filling for lunch, but that just means you do a CS for dinner later that night! :thumbsup2

I mean, Via Napoli is awesome too, but I'd keep Le Cellier! :p
