"We're keeping the moon!" Another Nikki and Tom Adventure! TR link PG. 37!!

Just finished getting caught up on this TR. You guys look like you have so much fun!

I think that Vinylmation squid thing was from the old 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea ride. I remember going on it on my first trip to WDW and taking pics of the incredibly cheesy undersea creatures. :goodvibes

It is really sad to see PI just sitting there doing nothing. My family loved the Adventurer's Club. I still remember my mom and dad having their first jello shot at PI (I was only 12). They had never seen them before and were so curious about it. :rotfl:

I'm gonna have to go back and read your earlier TRs now.

I just finished reading and I love your TR! I just had to say I noticed your camera bag and it is the exact one I have and I absolutely LOVE it as a camera bag and even more as a park bag! It can hold so much but still doesn't get terribly heavy. Also, my DH appreciated the Capsule Corp shirt and had to explain it to me (I got that it was from DBZ but didn't know anything else.) I'm looking forward to your summer trip report!

My new Vera arrived!! I love my hipster and I've been using it successfully for my past few disney trips. But honestly, it's just too big! So I ordered a new one and it's the PERFECT size! It's still flat so it's not bulky at all and it still has the nice long, thick strap that I like. I'm not in love with the color but it was the best one out of the ones that were on sale. Can't wait to try it out!

Here is a pic of it next to the hipster to compare sizes....

So glad you "get" the Adventurer's Club/demise of Pleasure Island thing. So funny about your parents having their first jello shot!

Thanks for joining in! Glad you are enjoying the TR. That camera bag is great. Do you carry around a second lens? I feel like that makes it so much heavier!!

Last night I finished your honeymoon TR and the TR for the trip with your niece. She is the cutest little thing!

I was so sorry to hear about your cat Jack. I love my kitties and I know it must have been very hard for you to go through.

My husband and I are HUGE Joss Whedon fans! Our wedding was Firefly themed! And our cats are all named for crew members of Serenity.

Here's my favorite pic of the wedding party. The men were all wearing Jayne hats and the ladies were carrying Kaylee parasols.

That's awesome! I'm not into Firefly but my husband is. Joss Whedon is the best! And now Avengers really put him on the map. Did you see it? So much of it was very "Buffy" didn't you think?

Can you believe my niece is going to be FOUR next month! In that TR, she was only 14 months. Time FLIES!

beer and toasted marshmallows....I can't wait to try out WL :goodvibes

It looks like you guys made the most out of unexpected crowd at MK

How much can you fit in your smaller hipster, I have always been afraid that they are too small looking

It's not the mini-hipster (that was too small), it's called the Lizzy, I think. For years, I've been wanting a bad that was in between the hipster and mini-hipster and this seems to be it! I haven't used it yet so I'm not sure how much it can hold but I've always had way more room in my hipster than I needed and thought it was a little cumbersome, especially when sitting down with it on so I'm hoping this one will be perfect. The only thing I might miss is being able to stuff a water bottle in there but I'm thinking mid-August - the water is not going to stick around for too long! We buy one bottle and CHUG it in like 10 seconds!

Now the only problem I'm having with this bag is that the pocket is crooked. I'm not sure if you can see it from the picture but it's bothering me, like it's maddening almost! I'm all about order and "everything in it's place" so to see this pocket askew is kind of making me crazy. I'm debating over whether or not I should return it for another one or if that's silly. I just know that every time I wear it or see it, it's all I'll be able to think about. What would you do?

Aww, your new Vera is cute, but I can definitely see how out of place the pocket is, that would drive me insane! Knowing me and how crazy something like that would make me, I'd send it back and get a new one. Are there any Vera stores near you, I wonder if you could just go to one and exchange it there?

Actually yes, I was just researching that because they don't do exchanges through the website! You have to return it and then just order a new one. So that means I'd have to pay shipping TWO more times! Not fair for a mistake they made....

So to the Bridgewater Mall I go today! Let's hope they have the bag there. There's like thousands of bags and colors on the site, I can't imagine the stores have them all.....

We'll see....

I would definitely exchange it! That would irritate me too. Maybe they will even have a color you like better!

The crooked pocket would drive me mad! Good luck on your hunt for a new one

I am incredibly late in finding your TR, but I have loved all your others and there was no way I could miss out on this one. :goodvibes

By the way, I just added the West Africa Trek to my list of to-dos

Thanks for the advice about the bag, everyone!! I'm glad it's not just me that would be driven crazy by the crooked pocket!!

I did a little research and in order to "exchange" it through the site, I would have to return it (pay to have it shipped) and reorder it (pay for shipping AGAIN!)

That seemed like a waste of money. I knew there was a Vera Bradley store about to open in a mall nearby but I couldn't find when the opening date was and didn't want to wait too long. So we made the trek out to the Bridgewater Mall, which is about 30 minutes away.

Now I have never been in a Vera Bradley store before (I'd been in other stores that sold Vera products) so this was the scene in Harry Potter when Harry first enters Hogwarts! It was awesome! Walls lined with Vera! Knowing that I had a mission, I found a girl who works there, explained her my situation and she went in the back and brought out the exact same bag but BETTER! This one had a straight pocket and I actually liked the placement of the design better. More gray in the front, which I like.

As she was taking care of the exchange, she said I will get back $12.57! When I questioned she said it was on sale. I did take the money (at first) but I knew that I had paid the sale price on the site too. So I had to speak up and say that I think it was a mistake. I mean, I love free money but I had to do the right thing and I didn't want karma biting me for this later.

Unfortunately, they had to get a manager over to void the whole transaction and the girl (who I think was semi-new) felt bad that she had done something wrong.....but in the end, I left happy. Now I can't WAIT for the Vera store to open in my mall. I will NEVER order from the online store again!!

Oh, and here's the new bag!

Avengers had that great mix of humor and drama that Joss is so good at. Did you see Cabin in the Woods? If you like horror films, you'd like this. Joss wrote the script and there are a bunch of Whedon alums in it.

Firefly is our favorite Whedon show, followed by Angel for me and Buffy for my husband.

I know what you mean about time flying. My nephew was our ring bearer and he just turned seven! I remember holding him when he was just a baby and it seemed like not that long ago. :cutie:

Yay! Glad that everything worked out for you. That is great.:goodvibes

Thanks!!

I am actually NOT a horror movie fan. (I get scared!) But Tom say Cabin in the Woods and really liked it.
