I just noticed that free dining is starting almost 2 weeks later than last year, so you should have lower crowds than we got.

No, I didn't make a room location request. I wasn't sure what I should request. I'm going to have a car and all the buildings are near a parking lot so that's good. I don't mind walking too much and on three of the days, I will be driving to the conference. Although if you have a recommendation, let me know!

A little PTR info!!

So I haven't really said to much about this next trip yet. I was hoping to finish this TR first but for some reason, I'm just not getting around to it!

So the trip is August 16 - August 23. We are staying at Caribbean Beach Resort. We've stayed there twice before - once in a preferred room and once in standard but with a decent location. Hoping to get close to the main building again!

Our cast also has an additional member this time! We are taking Tom's 20-year old niece who has never really been anyway before, let alone Disney!! This will be her first time on a plane and she is just so excited! Her name is Brianne, btw.

Her only input into the planning was that she wanted to eat in Japan! So after taking her suggestion and making sure she was okay with the other restaurants we thought she might like, I booked our ADRs!

We are AP holders and have a TIW card so we do most of our meals as lunches to save money. I think it's a better deal than the dining plan, especially because you save on alcohol but to each their own! So here's what we have so far.

8/17 - Lunch at Le Cellier
I've wanted to try lunch here for a while so I'm excited!

8/18 - Lunch at Sci-Fi Dine In

8/19 - Lunch at Tusker House!

8/20 - Dinner at 'Ohana. I was only able to get an 8:15. Hoping to get something earlier so we can maybe go to DTD after or hit up DHS EMH that night but if not, we'll just call it an early night after dinner.

8/21 - Dinner at Tokyo Dining. I purposely booked this for a later time (7:50) in hopes we would get a window seat and have a little viewing of Illuminations. I know it's not as great as a Rose and Crown viewing but I thought it would be cool if we could catch a glimpse. We'll see it on another day in the trip so it's not like it's our only chance to see it. Then EMH at Epcot that night!

8/22 - Breakfast at Crystal Palace

I'm happy with the choices. I like to try at least one or two new places each trip but at this point, we've been to so many places! Tokyo will be new and lunch at Le Cellier and Tusker House will be new. (We've done dinner at Le Cellier and breakfast at Tusker.)


I also just realized today (with no notice from the airline, btw) that might flight numbers and times got changed. Now instead of leaving at 6:30am, our flight leaves at 6am!! Scheduled to land in Orlando at 8:39am! SO crazy!


So the real reason why I wanted to post an update is because I did a little shopping this morning! I have such a hard time buying clothes because I have really skinny hips and arms and legs but carry my weight in my stomach and chest. Obviously, I would love a slim flat stomach but at least I can hide it well! Anyway, clothes don't always fit me well because of that. Pants especially are practically impossible for me to find. So you might have noticed the same clothes over and over again in all my past TRs! Luckily, I have lots of pairs of shorts and who really cares if I wear those every trip. It's the shirts that I wanted to change up.

Well today I went to Old Navy and bought FIVE new tanks! Woo Hooo!!

First, these two tanks.

Then this shirt just screams Epcot to me!

And these were my favorite! They fit so well! I especially like the yellow one.

I might go back and get some more of those. Once I find a shirt I like, I will buy it in every color! Haha!!

cute tops. I have a hard time shopping for the opposite reason. Nothing is made for a smaller waist and big bottom half. I guess if you have big legs you must have a REALLY big waist.

Exactly! And if you have a big waist, you automatically have big legs! Not true! And the worst is when they think if you get a smaller size for pants, that means they should be shorter! Like, your weight has anything to do with your height. I had a similar problem buying boots from Old Navy in the fall. I have big feet but skinny legs so the one size that was too tight on me fit better on my legs but the bigger the foot size, they made the leg part bigger! How does that make sense at all!?

Cute stuff from Old Navy! I know exactly what you mean about having a hard time finding things to wear. I have similar problems, so I tend to wear the same things over and over again because it fits. I also buy the same shirt in multiple colors if I like it.

I'm so glad I'm not the only one who has "issues" buying clothes. I swear they make clothes for some sort of weird square people? Sponge Bob? I normally have to buy my Old Navy shirts online and get the talls because the normal length ones are so squared and boxy. It's so weird, and ANNOYING!

Super cute tops! I love finding new shirts that actually FIT. I have a problem with pants, long skinny legs, but I carry my weight in my stomach too. It can be so frustrating. I also cannot find a button down that fits properly.

Jet Blue did this to me too (they did notify me), Instead of 7:59 AM departure, we are at 6:35 AM! I called to change it, but they can only change as early as Monday (the next flight on Tuesday is 1:30!), and Monday doesn't work. So, we are trying to figure out what to do. It's frustrating.

Great plans for your next trip so far! I really want to stay at CBR someday, it looks so pretty! Bringing your niece should be fun!

I kind of wish we got a TiW card when we could, but Brandon thought it was stupid! I just wanted to give it a try, since he drinks a lot when we eat at our TS meals but whatever, I like the dining plan too! IF we renew our AP's (which I don't think we are going to! ) maybe I'll get the card.

I have such a problem buying pants/shorts too. Even at my skinniest, I always had smaller hips and a bigger waist, so buying pants was always a challenge for me, and if you explain that to people, they don't understand it! I like that you can find a lot of pants or shorts now with an elastic waistband, that helps some of the time! I like to buy new shirts for trips, but I wear a lot of the same pants each trip, I think on my October trip, I alternated between 2 pairs of pants, so you can see them in every picture!

Oh I can't buy anything online! I have to try it on and even if I'm buying the exact same shirt in a different color, I have to try it on because it might not fit the same! I honestly don't know who they make clothes for because it seems like everyone has a problem!

Yup exactly. I'm very "straight"...so they are either too tight on my stomach or way to baggy in my butt. Usually I have to buy a very large size in the juniors department because they tend to have pants with skinny legs and same size hips and waist.

CBR is really nice! You should totally stay there one day.

Oh you definitely should've gotten the TIW card!! I really do think it saves way more money than DDP, especially since you guys went so many times within the year.

Oh I LOVE elastic waistbands! And if they are elastic with a tie? Even better!! I have a couple pairs of shorts that I bought at Old Navy like 6 years ago and I wear them pretty much all summer! Elastic with a tie!

I ended up in Jamaica 42. I booked a 2 Q room not knowing that King was an upgrade. They wouldn't let me request a King room so I asked for one when I got there and asked to be put on the 2nd floor since I was alone (and I don't like to have first floor rooms when I travel alone). They got me a King room on the 2nd floor with a water view. The walk wasn't terribly bad to my car but it did seem one of the farther walks from a room to the parking lot. Mostly it didn't bother me except when I came back at 3:30 am one morning after a Van Halen concert, and dancing, and in sky high heels

Hahah!! So funny about coming back at 3:30! Sounds like you really lived it up on this trip! Just looked at the map - Jamaica 42 doesn't look too bad as far as distance to the custom house.
