After a very hot 2 weeks in Orlando it's rather cold here:rotfl2:

We stayed at Port Orlean's but I didn't see either of the 2 DIS'ers whom I knew would overlap our holiday. We had requested the mansions but delight was in when we were allocated Building 14 in the AB section. Then on top of that a corner room with a towel rabbit waiting for us. Flight with Mytravel was fine. We left late due to the plane being late in from Cancun but we got there on time. Alamo was dead and we walked right in and got our car. We chose to take the upgrade to a SUV and got a fantastic Toyota Rava which I must say I liked. Davscotcar may disagree. I drove for the first time and loved it. It's so easy. Disney was quiet for the first 10 days then suddenly about Sunday the whole place seemed to be heaving with people. We took advantage of Extra magic hours. The kids are exhausted and we had some nice meals. We had a great time at Chef Mickey's as we were Family of the day. Then we also changed our Playhouse disney breakfast time with no problems. Managed to get the Garden Grill for a late lunch one day which enabled us to chill before hitting World Showcase. Also managed to get the Rose and Crown last minute. So it wasn't too bad, But the heat was too much and our 4 year old flagged alot yet loved the late magic hours where it was cool and quiet with a lazy day the next day. Oh and Brazilian tour groups started really getting on my nerves. We're looking at going back in a few years as we spent a lot of time childswitching with ds as he was too small, but dd got on everything.

Our fav rides are Soarin', we all loved that, Mickey's Philharmagic was fabulous and ds just adored it. Fantasmic was the best show as ever. 9 years since we first saw it and it's still takes my breath away.

Will catch up soon as we're all exhausted and there's stuff EVERYWHERE.

Oh the biggie

At immigration when arriving at Sanford..... Dh (davscotcar) got taken away for an interview. I was sent to get our baggage and told that the Kids and I would have to wait for customs to search our baggage but we would be allowed in. Meanwhile because I made dh get a new passport it flagged him up for an interview as they wanted to know why he had a new passport!! He wasn't the only one. There were a few familyies in the same situation and it was a few heart lunging moments where I felt that I was going to be on my own with 2 kids!! But it was fine.

We must have been there same time Groovee, or at least overlapped we got back last friday. We also stayed in AB14, we were in room 1423 and we absolutley loved the place, just trying to work around the eldests school so we can book for a return next year.:cool1:

Awww bummer we were 1461. We seemed to overlap a few people but sadly didn't manage to meet anyone. But nowt beats swimming in the pool at 11pm at night and it's still warm!

Yeah we had a few late night swims aswell, also agree about the hundreds of brazillian tours, the one night we went to fantasmic there were hundreds of them shouting brazil, brazil, brazil ........ which was all good fun at first but but after a while they really began to get on our nerves!!!!!.

Did you manage to do the carriage ride around port orleans??? every day we said we must do that tonight and still never did. At least thats a reason to go back next year!!!

We had them all sitting on each side of us and they were trying to outdo each other. We didn't manage a carriiage ride and said we would rent a surrey bike but didn't manage that either.

We did the family magic tour which was great at MK. we were joking that we needed a flag like the brazilian tour groups. Tried to pinch one but realised we'd have about 50 kids chasing after us. There's nothing like crawling across the floor of cosmic rays and shouting hi to the animatronic while everyone else sitting there just stares in amazement. Even funnier is counting 50 paces from tomorrow land to cosmic ray's while scaring push the talking trash can which was screaming.

Welcome home  , back to a wet uk again i'm affaird. :scared1:
Glad you had a lovely time . Are you planning the next trip yet ?:thumbsup2

Sounds as though you had a lovely time:)

well you know what the CMs call July when the zillions of 15 year old Brazilians show up in their groups.....(though they're not supposed to say it since it's incredibly not PC).....they call it Taco Month....

that must have been terribly scary/upsetting with immigration.

Sounds as though you had a great time. Must have been really scary for you at immigration.:)

The night the Brazilians were up singing could have been when they had just won the Copa America cup against Argentina. Copa America is the equivalent to the Euro Championships.....

Can you imgaine what the English would be like if we won something like that..

Its just a thought, glad you had a great time....I am on my countdown for April...

You could have brought some better weather back!!!!!! :rotfl:

Glad that you had a good time, shame about immigration though, I bet that was a scary moment for you! I know I would have been very worried! Glad I haven't got to get a new passport!
