We checked into the dolphin yesterday and we have a GREAT room! Facing the boardwalk and EPCOT. What a wonderful view. The weather here has been great too! Hopefully today will be just as nice. If anyone has any questions I am happy to answer them while we are here.........

Good for you! We'll be there in Nov. By any chance did Starwood membership have anything to do with the great view, and did you go in under the Teacher's/Gov't/Nurses discount?

So glad to hear all went well w/check in, and you are thrilled w/your room and VIEW! Enjoy your days while there...and remember to enjoy the "little moments", the special ones. Lock them away in your memory for the "Rainy days"!

Less than 5 months 'till we're there (LOL). If you have a chance, could you tell us what "Floor" you are on? Also, does the room seem newly renovated, etc.? Did you buy the refillable mug? Relax, and have a Fabulous stay!

Hopefully at the Dolphin - we got a $99.00 pre cruise rate for a room at the Swan/Dolphin - (no promises as to which resort,)- but I've made my request - and will be following up with begging and pleading phone calls as the trip gets closer. Our stay is 11/3 - 11/8, then a surprise (for our son's) ride on 11/9 over to Port Canaveral to board the MAGIC ! When are you going?

I'll be down there in December, 2002 for DIS-CON-II, and I can hardly wait.

If you have a chance, I hear that they give tours to the Swan special presidential-type suites. It would be wonderful if you could take some pictures of this.

Could you also take some pictures of the pool.

Bill From PA - I do have a starwood membership, but I am not sure if that helped . No, we did not book under the Tchr/gov discount.

Dreamflight99 - I have not yet bought the refillable mug, but it is on my list of things to do. We are on the 4th floor and our room is verynice, but I don't think that any of the rooms at the dolphin have been renovated yet.

Our room has a balcony and has been wonderful to sit out and watch everything going on on crescent lake. This evening, we ordered desserts from room service, which were prompty delivered and bot were AWESOME. I highly recommend this small indulgence.

Oh...I too can "SEE" the view. It almost makes me sad, it's comparable to Scarlett being away from Tara! I love the smells..the sounds (Boat horns), and of course...as Ray stated--the lights, etc. Simply put...there is NO PLACE ON EARTH like it!

I have also ordered the desserts From R.S.---glad to hear they are consistent and still provide A+ service/food. I agree w/you in recommending this treat! Let me know if you "see" or buy the mug..LOL. I'm just interested in the design...as I have not even seen one, or read a description yet.

I LOVE the fourth floor too...and everything above. You sound as if you are in heaven Brer-rabbit...and enjoying every second (as you should!) of your stay.

Dreamflight, the refillable mugs (sold at Tubbi's by the cash register) is the handle-less kind, almost like those kind of coffee mugs they sell at Starbuck's.

The mugs feature various photos of the Swan/Dolphin resports. It makes a nice souvie!

I'm really excited now! I will buy more than one just in case they change them (or heaven-forbid, do away with the program)! Thanks for your description...I have ALL KINDS of Dolphin/Swan Souvies...even the special little pins celebrating the Dolphin ten-year anniversary! in '99! I have the keychains and the pens, postcards and notecards! I even keep the old room keys, as the image changes from year to year (The anniversary ones of these are also nice!). Enjoy your weekend!

We are heading to the Dolphin in three weeks! March 15-23. We booked the teacher's rate since DW is gainfully employed (this year anyway)! I just received complimentary platinum Starwood Club status. (I am platinum with Marriott-it was reciprical to gain my business.) Haven't yet received my card, but expecting it any day! Do I dare hope for a super upgrade to a room with a view?
