Got a good rate with a postcard at CSR ($104/night total w/tax etc. for a king room guaranteed), got a good airfare($135 round trip on Song from JFK), got a good rental car rate ($80 for 4 days), need to renew APS anyway for trip in November and January.

We're going to Disneyworld!!!!!:bounce: :Pinkbounc :hyper: :wave: ::yes:: :wave2: :jumping1: :jumping3: :cool1: :jumping2: :jumping4: :earboy2: :cheer2: :thewave:

That's a great time of year to go. We were there last year in September and the crowds were low. It's so nice not waiting in those long lines! Have fun!

You're leaving on my birthday! What a great day!

Congrats on the good deals! We're still figuring out how to swing an Oct trip, too. Just have to wait until those class syllabi are passed out this week!

Hi, Disney Doll... We are checking into the CSR on the same day!! We used a postcard rate of $79, but our king bed isn't guaranteed (keeping fingers crossed...if they give us two full beds, we'll end up sleeping apart. We're both bed hogs)

I wish I could have gotten such a good deal on airfare...Have a great trip...maybe we'll bump into each other!

We will be there Sept 22 - 27. Here's hoping for good weather and small crowds for all of us!!

Have fun!

Aren't spur of the moment trips fun? You're leaving on my anniversary.......so here's to some early anniversary wishes for you too!

Have a fun trip and keep an eye open for an "older" couple wandering around doing a lot of hand holding and public snuggling. :p :teeth:

Ha ha! We'll be the younger couple behind you whispering, "Oh, I want to be like that always, too! How sweet!"

Then we'll start to argue over who is going to carry the backpack and what to ride first and whether to eat hot dogs or hamburgers for lunch. Ain't love grand?

Does anyone wear DIS identifications while they are in the Disney Parks??

I do and have never come across another DISer while in the parks.

I used to but I don't want to be I.D.'d anymore. I tend to hide behind rocks and things like that when I'm there nowdays. :p

Speaking of rocks, that reminds me of a funny story. Years ago when we first went to DW, we watched a young man get chased off one of the BIG rocks surrounding the World Showcase. We didn't think it was such a big deal that he sit there as long as his parents didn't have a problem with it.

But then the show/fireworks started. The "rock" opened and out came a light pole with lighting for the show.

Ya just never know where to sit at DW do ya? :crazy:
