We're going back to Walt Disney World in May 09!...pics added

OMG, that's funny, my DH is going thru the same thing with the greys!!! There's some in his hair, but being military he keeps it REALLY short, but when he can grow some facial hair, it's there, and in his chest, I think it's funny!!! I keep telling him he's getting old, cause he'll be 39 next month!!

congrats on being a veteran!! Good feeling isn't it? LOL

That is a good idea to do them at the party. We are going to a friend's house Sat night for dinner and to do the eggs. We are also going to an egg hunt and lunch with some of Avery's school friends on Sat morning.

Thanks for the bump! No eggs dyed as of yet. I bought to big kits and thought that this might be a cool craft to do at the party. I bought the ones with stickers, markers, glitter, etc. I think the kids will like it. I will boil the eggs tomorrow so all the kids will have to do is decorate. Should be fun.

Have you guys dyed eggs?

:yay:For being a DIS Veteran. It means your on DIS too much, just like me . Hope your family has a Happy Easter!

I had to add this too. There is a doctor at the hospital, where I work, who is from Kentucky and he use to talk about The Land Between the Lakes all the time. And everything I think about KY that is what comes to mind :confused3Another co-worker of mine is from KY and she talks about missing it up there so much. Just had to add that totally useless bit of information for some reason :confused3.

OH and this too. I noted that Joe seems to have a little color in his beard....:rotfl: So does Dale, but this is his explanation " You're crazy, it isn't gray, it is the way the sun is shinning off of my beard so it looks blonde"........................:lmao::rotfl::rotfl2:. Now Dale is 47 and has black hair, where is the blonde? :rolleyes1:rolleyes:
Kentucky gets a bad wrap. It really is a great place to live. Not too hot, never cold for long and nice people for the most part.

I was cracking up about the facial hair. Joe says he'd rather have them turn gray than loose....his hairline is receding if you know what I mean...:goodvibes

We had a super busy weekend. It flew by! Here are some pics from our MMC party...

Here the kids are decorating eggs...We had glitter, markers, paint, dyes, etc. Kids seemed to like this activity-even the boys. :goodvibes

Here is a pic of the kids digging in and discovering their second set of goodies...you will recognize the children...I think Josie is destined to be a real life Peg Bundy. She is constantly trying to wear leggins and a tank top.:lmao:

Here the kids are playing Disney World Bingo...this activity was fun. I bought several springtime prizes to allow the winners to pick from...frisbees, sidewalk chalk, badminton, etc.
IMG_2615.jpg

Next we had strawberry and french vanilla cupcakes with little Mickey's piped on and I set up a make-your-own sundae bar. I had reese pieces, M&M's, triple berry syrup, gummy bears, nuts, chocolate syrup and caramel. The kids really got into this.

Here's Josie with her yummy treats...

Here's a pic of the cupcakes...I didn't have time to go all out with a cake because of the Girl Scout Spring Celebration we had all day before the party. I can whip up cupcakes in less than one hour (bake and decorate) so we went with that. Here's a pic of the cupcakes...not my best work but still the kids seemed to like them and that's what really matters.

Everyone seemed to really enjoy their time. We had one family that had been to WDW before and 3 families that hadn't (not including us). Our party started at 5pm. We had the Wii going, beanbag toss, washers, the WDW DVD etc. to keep everyone entertained while we were grilling burgers and hot dogs. Our guests started leaving around 10:30pm and the final family left at midnight. It was a long day but totally worth it. :goodvibes

What a fun party! Everyone looks like they are having such a fun time. Those cupcaskes look yummy! Josie is a cutie!

We live in a duplex and the family that lived next door when we moved in was from KY. They moved back :sad2::sad1: and I lost a good friend. So I think anybody that gives KY a bad rap needs to chill.......lol. I do have to say ROLL TIDE though :rolleyes1.

Dale is lucky that he isn't loosing his, but shhhhhhhhhhhhhhh it isn't as black as it once was.

We had a great Easter. When I woke up Josie was sitting on the couch waiting quietly for the rest of us to get up so that she could dig into her basket. She was so cute. Lindsey woke up about 30 minutes later and then went in and woke her Daddy up so they could look for eggs in the back yard. Here are some pics from the morning. Don't mind the bed head and Pj's...

Here is a pic of the girls with their baskets. I didn't go overboard this year. Really trying to reel in how much junk we buy. They each got a HSM barbie, a webkinz, a book, and some candy.

Here they are with the silly Easter bunny glasses...

Here they are hunting eggs in the back yard. Crazy Daisy (the cocker) didn't bother a single egg until the girls came out and then she started grabbing eggs and popping them open. Josie was devastated. It was so funny.

Here's Hannah the black lab. I was checking out Wendy's report and realized I hadn't introduced the furbabies in my siggie. Daisy was in a picture above. Here's a pic of the best doggie ever.

IMG_2637.jpg

After hunting eggs Josie asked to watch Disney channel. Luckily they were showing Mickey's Clubhouse Easter Egg Hunt. She started laying on her Daddy and before long here was the scene...poor little thing just had too much excitement this morning.

We let her sleep for about an hour, then packed up and went over to IL's place. After pizza with the IL's, Lindsey and Joe went fishing and Josie and I hung out with MIL and watched Bedtime Stories. It was pretty cute. When they got back we went out for dinner at Colton's. It was a really good day. :)

Could they be any cuter??? Poor Josie and the eggs. Very cute doggies. Sounds like a fun day!

Thanks Mary! I think everyone did have fun. We had a wonderful weekend. I'm so ready for our trip now.

I'm not a KY native. I was born and raised a Michigander. I miss my friends from there but I would never move back. I love Kentucky and my life here. I won't tell Dale that his hair isn't all black anymore if you won't tell Joe that he's going bald...LOL.

Thanks again Mary! I can never get a good pic of Daisy, she is always on the move. Every picture is an action shot...LOL.

The MMC party looked like a ton of fun! I love the cupcakes....yummmmmmm!

Awww, the girls look beautiful in their Easter dresses! I bought a cute dress for Emily, but she demanded that she wear it the other day because it was blue like Cinderella's dress. Needless to say, after wearing it for two days straight and yes, sleeping in it, it wasn't Easter ready!:rotfl: Oh well, we went to my Dad's today and played outside, fed the ducks down by the lake and got plenty dirty. It definitely wasn't a dress kind of day!

Will thinks Hannah is beautiful! He wasn't to know her sign!!!

Thanks Wendy! The girls only stayed in their dresses for about 2 hours. How cute about Emily's dress. Sounds like you had a nice day also.

I asked Hannah (she's laying at my feet snoring) and she says she's an Aries....LOL. Born April 3. She thinks Will is pretty hot too. There might be a cat fight between Hannah and Mary's Faith if we're not careful... :lmao::lmao:

Um, I think MY dog saw him first. Avery was born on WIll's bday! Faith snores too. And thinks she is a lap dog. Need to find a pic of Faith. She is only 65lb-um maybe Hannah needs doggie weight watchers LOL

:lmao::lmao: I know she is way too big...We had her on lite food but the vet had us start her on senior food for her joints about a year ago. Unfortunately the senior food has packed the weight on. She was a slim and trim 75 until then. It's a catch 22 be slim and have achy joints, or eat food with joint medicine, gain 15 pounds and have achy joints. She eats only Science Diet so it's not like she's eating the cheap stuff. :confused3

BTW, Hannah's just big-boned and I"m sure Will would rather have a lady with some curves...

Faith-excuse the mess-Photbucket would not let me edit. That is baby Avery is the bouncer.

Poor doggie, Faith has gained weight with having to be on the prednisone for her ears. Curves, um you mean rolls??

Oh my gosh, what a fantastic party!! I hope you sent pictures in to the MMC!!:goodvibes I love the cupcakes you made and I can't believe you can make and decorate them that fast!!! It looks like everyone had a great time!!

Your little darlins looked so cute for easter! Seems as if their baskets were a great hit!! I'm so glad to hear you had such a nice day!

Are you getting really excited with barely more than 30 days to go until your trip?

Love your fur babies!! This is the first time in my life I haven't had a dog and I really miss that "you are my world" bark and prancing when you get home!! Only a dog can give you that kind of love!:goodvibes

Faith is a cutie too. Rolls indicates that their is enough skin to go in and out.

Thanks! I think everyone did have a good time and the girls really loved what the Easter bunny brought them.

I can't tell you how excited I am for our upcoming trip. You must be out of this world excited because you only have one more day. You are so lucky! I can't wait to read you TR when you get back. We're still a little disappointed we won't be meeting but completely understand why we can't.

You should take the leap and get another doggie. Hannah is getting up in years so when something happens it is going to be so devastating. She raised Daisy from 5 weeks and Daisy sleeps on top of her every night. She cries when Hannah and she are separated. We are very attached to Hannah. She is a special girl.

Not to go on and on but we adopted her from the Humane Society. She is a full blooded black lab. Her owners didn't keep her up and she became impregnated by a stray. In the breeding world that makes her tainted if you will. The owners dumped her at the HS pregnant. She had 8 puppies. She did so well they gave her 4 orphan pups and she nursed them also. She is an excellent mama. Of course she was taken care of so she can't reproduce again. When we got her she was a bag of bones. Not anymore!

Okay, I'll move on. Sorry for the long story. We just love our dog and will definitely adopt again. Unfortunately black dogs are the last dogs to be adopted-black dogs are euthanized more often than any other color. She has been such an excellent addition I just had to share.
