We're Dreaming of a WL Christmas! DEC 2010 INTERACTIVE PTR NEW: 12/9 BYE-BYE!

How fun!! It's awesome that you got to meet Duff!! Too cool.

Hmm, I have only met football players from autograph signings. I was in Disney and got to see Jordan Sparks while she was filiming the music video for the AI experience in DHS. Tim and I were extras in the video( the audience), but it's hard to actually see us when we see the video. I know where we are standing, but the scene goes by so fast.

Welcome back Lynn!!!! Things have been so busy, I have not made it over to your PTR. That is awesome that you were in Jordan Sparks' video!! I saw the TV clip of it at DHS! That is so cool---hey, at least you know where you were :thumbsup2

How great a day! I love that you saw Duff from Ace of Cakes. I love those guys on that show.

You're cracking me up how you snuck and got those prohibited pictures! Gotta take care of the DIS crowd! HA

He seemed exactly like he is on tv!! :lmao: Had to sneak one for the team!!!

I'm SO jealous of your Imagination Movers experience! It sounds awesome!!! Great pics!

Amanda

Great update! Katie it looks like so much fun...

how fun that you "met" Duff and Knit Knot!

when my mom owned a flower shop in Metairie some of our favoirte customers were:
Morton Anderson, Bobby Hebert, and a number of other Saints players of the time!
I also ran into "literally" Steven Segal and his wife than (the one who played in that Science movie --DH would know?!?) at the airport! how embarassing!

What a fun day at the Imagination Movers concert! I think it is so neat to see how a show comes together -- it will probably look completely different when you see the edited version!

Well, I have met a couple of celebrities before -- my mom used to love going to NYC and seeing shows, so I have waited by the stage door for Mikhail Baryshnikov and Michael Crawford (my mom had a thing for him when he was in Phantom of the Opera). It was really neat to see both of them up close and get their autographs. When I worked at Lenox Square Mall, the actor who played Theo Huxtable from The Cosby Show came in to shop. That was a complete surprise and very cool. Those were my major brushes with greatness! :goodvibes

Wow, that is really cool! What a great experience for the kids! I can't wait to watch.
The closest I've ever been to a real taping is AEI over at DHS!
Love the joke! A bus driver told that joke too in November.
How cool you got to meet Duff! Can you believe I've never watched Ace of Cakes?! I'll definitely be tuning in!

Ok, I must admit...I have no idea who the Imagination Movers are. :confused3 But the concert looks like it was a lot of fun! How exciting that you were interviewed! I hope you get on the actual show - if so I am definitely going to be watching that! :thumbsup2

I can't believe you met Duff!!! I love Ace of Cakes! As for me, I guess my biggest celebrity sighting was Sylvester Stalone. I was vacationing at Atlantis in the Bahamas and he and his family were sitting one table over from us when we were having lunch. He was so short!!! :lmao:

nice update!!!!

Famous People:

I worked for 4 summers in college when the Pittsburgh Steelers had training camp at my college. I drove golf carts for the players and coaches to and from the dorms to the cafe and lockerroom so I've met all of them and have their autographs on my Camp Staff tshirts.

At WDW, I met Snoop Dog while working at AK in the Pangani Forest at the Kids Discovery Club! There were famous people that would have their kids done up at BBB but they were never with them, they always had their sigificant other/nanny/Guest Relations with them. Extreme Home Makeover is there from time to time as well.

When I was about 10, we were in DHS and it was pouring rain and we ducked into an overhang near ABC Com. CS and Will Friedel and Jason Marsden (from Boy Meets World and Step By Step/Goofy Movie-voice of Max). We got pics with them but we did not have anything for them to autograph! I was on cloud nine because that was the hay-day for those shows!

Sounds like the concert was a lot of fun! DH and I went to a taping of a Jeff Dunham show, and there a lot of "cuts" and "do-overs". They also had us laugh and clap on purpose at the beginning so they could use it between jokes if needed!

I hadn't heard of the Imagination Movers... and then yesterday I saw them on the screens at the Disney Store.. and now just read your update on the concert! :goodvibes
Looks like good fun.

Meeting a Celebrity..

My best one is probably going to a book signing to meet Gordon Ramsay! :thumbsup2
DF is a big fan of his, so I went along to buy the book & have it signed as a birthday present.. I queued for over an hour but it was lovely to meet him... I told Gordon that the book was for my boyfriend and he said "well your boyfriend is a very lucky man!" ... I got completely star struck and could barely say a word

My parents seem to meet famous people all the time, just by chance! They were on a cruise earlier this year and sat next to John Barrowman (actor/singer).. and on a trip to Disney World they saw David Gest (Liza Minelli's ex-husband!)

Hope all is going well with your ADRs and house-moving!

OK! You win for most celebrity meets!!! I loved Boy Meets World! Still watch it on re-run now! hehe. Loved Goofy Movie too---bet you were freaking out!
Snoop Dog would be funny to see at WDW!

It was very interesting to watch the "behind the scenes stuff". That is SO funny they had you laugh and clap!! I always wonder about that!

Wow! You seem to have all the luck with famous people!! That is so cool that Gordon said that to you! I am sure you were on cloud nine. I am very nervous about my ADRs! When is your booking day???

Well our 'official' ADR is tomorrow, that's 180 days until we check in to the Boardwalk :goodvibes

But with the new version of the online ADR system.. I've been able to book things day-by-day over the last week?! .. got everything we wanted at the exact times too! :yay:
I phoned Disney last week and ordered our MVMCP tickets.. which arrived in less than 3 days - the air-mail was sprinkled with pixie dust I think! :wizard:

All that's left to book is a sleigh ride at Fort Wilderness... that will be on December 13th so I can book that this Wednesday.. 180 days before :santa:

Oh I thought of a famous person I met once! My high school choir was on our way to WDW for Magic Music Days and when we landed in Orlando, we met Barry Bostwick at the luggage pick up! Apparently he was on our flight! I have a picture with him that I will scan and post later but in case you are wondering who he is......

He played Brad in Rocky Horror, he was in Weekend at Bernie's 2 and I think he's more commonly known for being the mayor in Spin City.

I am so upset, I could just cry!!! The online system WONT let me book anything because it is not 180 days until tomorrow (like you). I am reading that so many other people are booking---I am so worried that all of our favorite things will be taken. Is there any secret to it??

That is so awesome how quickly your MVMCP tickets came!! What night are you going on?

Awesome!! I do know him...love Weekend at Bernie's! I would love to see a pic if you have time!

We're going to MVMCP on Tuesday 14th December :santa:

With the online ADRs.. go to the WDW website
http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/reservations/dining/

Move the date calendar to the date you want the ADR (e.g. December 15th) - it will ask you to 'log in' because it's more than 180 days away... then a screen pops up where you type in your Reservation Number & Arrival Date... the latter is where there is a 'glitch' in the system, because when I type in December 11th.. it corrects it to today's 180 day window (e.g. today's is December 10th)
But it lets you continue to the next screen.. and start making ADRs!!

Try it out.. I'm sure you'll be ok to get the restaurants you want! :wizard:

Some people on the December thread have said they've had some problems getting Epcot World Showcase ADRs, but that's likely to be because Disney's holding a lot of tables for the Candlelight Processional packages :santa:

Hope that helps and isn't too confusing!

Well that is just SO cool! Imagination Movers came a bit too late for my kiddos, but I LOVE Ace of Cakes!

Yay! :yay: Glad I could be of some help... I do love the online ADR system! .. if you click on 'My Reservations' along the top of the website, it has a list of all the ADRs you've made :goodvibes
I've added an 'engagement' celebration to all of our reservations.. not sure if we'll get any extra pixie dust but I can try!

The CLP Dining packages should be available in July/August apparently.. that's when the list of celebrity narrators is announced :santa:

Just 6 months to wait now :rolleyes1 hehe
