We're Changing The Plan Again?? You mean there's a Plan? New TR Posted/Link Posted

I love your pictures too. You take pictures of stuff that I wouldn't think about, but I love seeing them later.

I agree about the pavilions growing on you. I really enjoy the Viking museum in Norway and only recently have started to enjoy the China pavilion. However, there is so much there that I still feel like I need to explore more.

Thanks!! :goodvibes I really like the Viking museum too. We didn't make it there this time but we had fun in there last year. It is one I hope to explore more! I have learned so much in the China Pavillion!!

I don't know how I missed seeing your TR when it started but when I found it tonight, I have read the entire thing in one sitting. I knew I was hooked when I saw these pics at the beginning...

We too are from the Magnolia State and live just outside of Hattiesburg in Petal. I am the Disney nut in our family, do all the planning and the others are okay with that (as if they had a choice! :lmao:)

I am really enjoying your TR. You have lots of great pics and I really enjoyed the fireworks shots with the castle. We too love Nawlins and as you can probably guess from my screen name, why we go there often. :cool1:

Keep the TR coming. It will be a while before we are back at WDW so I must live vicariously through great TR's like yours! :worship:

I love all of your WS photos. The last trip I took as a kid was probably the last time I actually spent a good amount of time in WS and that was like 15 years ago. I can't wait until we go back ago and I can spend some time there by myself. No one would even do the rides in Mexico or Norway:confused3

Your meal at SAI looks very yummy and the restaurant looks beautiful.

When I look at your pictures it almost feels like I am looking at pictures of somewhere I haven't been before.

So happy you found my TR! :yay: And that you are enjoying it! We will be down your way next Saturday! I am a Southern grad...DH is a huge State baseball fan. I have been pretty successful in converting him to the right path though!! Our house has been counting down for football. We also are HUGE Saints fans! Our Sunday schedules revolve around game time! I pretty much bleed Black and Gold--Southern and Saints!

I hope I can continue to help your Disney withdrawals!! :)

Thanks!! I think both of the boat rides are cute and fun. Knowing your WS history......I hope you get your solo time next time! You deserve it! ;) SAI is really good and I just love the ambience there!

sigh your world show case photos are so relaxing, i never seem to be able to take a pavillion in at that level of slowness and ease. :goodvibes just what I needed while the wind whips up the tail end of Irene here.

i really appreciate your WS pictures. we never give the pavillions an appropriate amount of time. i think for future trips i'll demand we do so for at least one pavillion per Epcot day. There are just too many cool things we are missing.

I think WS is the one place at Disney that I do slow down! Everywhere else I seem to be darting to and fro! I hope you guys were okay in the storm! Those things can be so nasty!! :headache:

Had Keith not sat down in China, I would had missed many details that I had not seen before. And I had thought we had spent adequate time there in the past! So my suggestion is to find a spot to sit and just look around. Later int eh week, I found a whole new appreciation for Germany! ;) Which I just always thought of as beer and pretzels!!

When I last left off we had just finished up in China and we were heading on a mission deeper into the World Showcase...

Where are we headed?? To France!! We have a mission: Belle!!

IMG_2153.jpg

If you recall from 2 days prior (or 2 months ago!!) my mom had purchased my niece a Belle souvenir and wanted Belle to sign it. We went to the princesses meet and greet at Magic Kingdom only to not see Belle. Well, I did not stress over it and told my mom we could definitely see Belle at Epcot. I had her schedule from online so we were on a mission!!

We get there and see the next time is at 2:20pm.

IMG_2137.jpg

It is right around 2pm so we figure that is not too bad of a wait! We queue up and then I hear it….is it really??? I didn’t think they were performing on any of our Epcot days!!!

Okay, let me back up. You have absolutely no idea what I am talking about!! I love many things about Epcot and one of them is the entertainment in each country. Last year I saw none of it! NONE!! I was super disappointed! I had made careful notes about when and where I could enjoy the entertainment only to not be able to explore and enjoy Epcot like I wanted. Well, this trip was going to be different! I made notes and was prepared! I wanted my entertainment!!

So who exactly was this that I wanted to see but didn’t think they would be performing on my Epcot days? Matsuriza in Japan! :yay: I leave my mom and Madison to wait on Belle and speed walk back to Japan. They were so good!! I really enjoyed hearing/seeing them perform!!

After watching for a bit I head back to France where Madison has just met Belle. I search for Keith. Of course, I should have known he has found a nice place to sit and people watch! See him??

IMG_2136.jpg

There he is!!

IMG_2135.jpg

Thankfully I had Photopass and still had pictures of Madison and one of our favorite princesses!!

Then Serveur Amusant is in action! So we walk the short distance over to catch their antics! They are hilarious and this was a lot of fun too!

Continued in the next post.....

So I am pretty happy that I have gotten to see two acts within a 30 minute span!!

We begin discussing where to go next. Do we want to call it a day and head back to the room or explore a bit more? We decide a visit to American Adventure is in order!

We go in to listen to The Voices of Liberty. They are awesome…plain and simple! I love listening to them sing! We found a great spot on the floor and sat down to soak up some American culture!

IMG_2167.jpg

IMG_2168.jpg

IMG_2169.jpg

IMG_2170.jpg

Halfway through the performance a grandfather and his granddaughter come and sit in front of us. This is fine until the little girl begins climbing on the grandfather’s shoulders and twirling on the floor and then….she goes to the singers who are trying to ignore the distraction and begins messing with the ladies’ dresses! Okay, your 4 year oldish granddaughter is cute but she isn’t that cute! When it was all over the little girl runs to her mother (I presume) who dotes all over her and thinks she is just the cutest thing for “getting into the act”! Other than that though this was awesome! We talked to a few singers before heading upstairs to see the American Adventure show.

IMG_2174.jpg

This is pretty good and on this day the air conditioning was very welcoming! All total we spent close to an hour doing the show and Voices of Liberty so this pavilion needs to have some time allotted to fully appreciate it!

We venture out of America and into Italy. I wish in “real-life world” I could walk from America to Italy in 1 minute! I would be one happy little camper!!

When we get to Italy I head for a shop to locate something I have fallen in love with….candy from Italy!!!
IMG_2189.jpg

I look around the shop a bit more, purchase my candy and then we head out for some photo ops:

Then the Ziti Sisters make an appearance. This is one act I was not familiar with at all but they were so much fun and we had a blast watching them! They first got some girls from the crowd to do a little parade thing and then they got three men to join their antics.

What an awesome few hours! I feel very satisfied on the entertainment side of things! Next we grab a quick snack, backtrack through WS and close out our Epcot day!!

I am thoroughly enjoying your trip around World Showcase. Again, I had to laugh when I saw Keith sitting over in the grass just people watchin'. That's so something that John would do. I get all nervous when John does that. All I can think of is somebody coming along and telling him to "get off the grass".

I've never seen or heard of the Ziti Sisters. I wonder if they are new?

You got to see some pretty good shows, I have to say.

I love seeing Voices of Liberty. Honestly, their singing just gives me the chills. So clear and pretty.

Boo to the kid trying to "get in on the act". I really can't stand that. These people are trying to do a job. Very annoying.

I had the same thought as mickeystoontown, "You are allowed on the grass?"

I love your picture from the Italy pavilion that just has the building and the sky. (I tried to quote it but apparently I am not that talented.) Just beautiful!!!!!

I have never been inside the Italy pavilion (except for Tutto Italia). What kind of candy is it? I am intrigued.

The costumes on the Voices of Liberty are so pretty but I agree with you - no touching.

You saw a lot of shows. I haven't seen the Ziti Sisters or Serveur Amusant before. They look like fun!

Belle gets some of the best costumes. She looks pretty in the blue and the yellow.

I had never heard of them either! I actually looked the info up on the WDW web site when I got home to get the details! They were a lot of fun though and definitely worth watching when in Italy!

Uhmmm...I never thought about not being able to get on the grass....I wonder if I just "outed" him!? :rotfl: No one said anything but then no one may have noticed either! I would have been like you had i considered the possibility!!

I was very excited abuot the shows we caught! I think Keith and Chris watched the Mo Rockin' band for a few but i skipped it...I have seen them perform before and while very good....I don't need any self-esteem issues on my vacation!!

Yes, touching and pulling on the skirts is very annoying. Had it been me singing I would have lost my concentration! I love to hear them sing too and would love to join in but that would not be pretty!!!

I had the same thought as mickeystoontown, "You are allowed on the grass?"

Ya'll are making me self-conscious now!! :rotfl: Never crossed my mind! I guess when country comes to town......

Thanks!! I don't know the name of it either! I always call things by the wrong name!

I have never been inside the Italy pavilion (except for Tutto Italia). What kind of candy is it? I am intrigued.

They are just chocolates but the flavor is different than Amrican chocolate. I think a lot of it has hazlenut lavoring and some you have to be over 21 to buy...:rolleyes1 But it is really good. It is kind of expensive but then not really...usually $.65 to $.90 a piece. Which that sounds like a lot but I usually buy $8-$9 dollars worth and use it as "treats" for myself when I get home so I consider it a good souvenir that is relatively inexpensive!

I love the entertaiment it was so much fun this time around! And I agree about Belle...I think that may be one of the reasons she is my fave!

good afternoon! i'm glad you got to see Belle AND catch some awesome entertainment:thumbsup2

Just checking in to let you know I will be back soon with an update! We had heavy rains over the weekend from TS Lee which made my internet sporadic (I'm assuming). I'd hoped to post an update while off but that didn't happen! We were so busy plus going to a 9pm college football Saturday night, sitting in a Tropical Storm until 1am...something I have never done but we had so much fun!! :goodvibes Winning helped too!

So I hope to have an update in a day or two...hang with me please!! :thumbsup2

Kinda figured you were celebrating the late night show at the "Rock"! :thumbsup2 TS Lee kept us in the house for Labor Day. Now we have to wait for the lake in our yard to dry up! Look forward to your next post.

Yes we were at the "Rock"!! We holed up inside the remainder of the weekend since we experienced more than enough rain that night/morning!!

:offtopic:

Before I post I thought I would let you see just how crazy my family is! This past weekend we got well over 11 inches of rain from TS Lee and while we did spend the majority of the weekend in the house (thank goodness foootball has started!! :cheer2:) we did make one journey south....

Most people avoid rain/Tropical Storms/Hurricanes...we go and sit in the middle of it at a 9pm game and did not leave until 1am! So what does crazy look like??? (This also "may" explain the "Rock" reference!)

And now we are back to the Disney report!!!

After we had some fun in Italy we made our way to Germany to find a snack and Keith wanted a German beer.

While Keith enjoys his beer and Chris grabs a pretzel, us girls head into the stores and look around.

We end our store visits in the caramel shop.

This place smells divine and the choices are unbelievable! I got two caramels.

IMG_2211.jpg

These were so good but very rich. This is on a Sunday and they lasted until the following Sunday when I finally finished them up! Of course I dragged their goodness out too for memory sake!

IMG_2215.jpg

The heat and length of time in Epcot is beginning to drain us so we head to Norway again to use those FPs.

IMG_2234.jpg

This is a pretty fun little ride to me. I even enjoy the film at the end…you know, the film everyone talks about skipping?

Whew! We have had a great day at Epcot! The weather, although hot, has been perfect and we have done and seen so much! We head out but make one final stop: Spaceship Earth!

Along the way...a few pictures:

CARS!!!! Love Lightening McQueen!!

And To-Mater!!

IMG_2245.jpg

At Spaceship Earth, we load up. I tell Keith to smile but did he? Well you will see in just a minute!

I try taking pictures and then my display disappears. I spend most of this ride upset that my camera has “broke” and it is too dark for me to determine how to fix it. But what if it is just broke because I take 5000 pictures in one day and it is worn out?! I snap away not knowing what kind of pictures I will get. Some are good and some are not.
