Hello again, eveyone!
Hubby and I are back from #19 on the Wonder, and it was AWESOME...the best way I can imagine to have spent our 10th anniversary.
I had set hubby up for a great surprise and ordered a custom basket from Shirley at Perfect Gift. Her work is definitely as great as everyone has said! She did a neat Chicago Bears theme, right down to a "playing field" in the basket. We took photos that I will post with my next update on my website. Tony was SO surprised!!
As for the cruise itself, it was a blast! The Disney Cruise Line crew is the best, from shoreside to the ships. They made sure that our anniversary was a magical memory that we'll never forget.
I'll be posting a full trip report soon, but overall let me just say that it was a great trip, as usual. The weather was threatening in Nassau, but hubby & I brought our usual pixie dust and it burned off to let the sun shine thru for the 19th straight time on Castaway Cay. We spent lots of time in the spa, as always, and did old favorites like the 70s party, as well as new favorites like the "Draw Mickey" class, which we learned about on our last cruise. We also met our "twins," a couple who have sailed Disney 13 times (like us, they are not from FL)...a bit less than us, but I still think they qualify for the Platinum Castaway Club. We discovered we're so similar that they, too, LOVE being aft. Their favorite stateroom, 6654, is practically right above my beloved 5650. I'll be posting a photo of all of us with Captain Henry and Cruise Director Rick at the Castaway Club party. We also met some DISers and heard rumor of others (via our dinner tablemates) who we didn't catch up with.
Well, I have to catch up with my email, but lots of updates are coming SOON (hopefully this weekend).

Welcome back Barb! Glad to hear you had another great cruise! :)

As I recall, although you celebrated your anniversary on this cruise, the actual date is coming up this week. Happy anniversary, Barb and Tony. It sure is nice to make to a nice, round number like 10!

Wow! Another Disney Cruise fanatic couple! Do they have a web site? Do they participate on some other board? I'm sure you told them about the DIS boards, didn't you? How interesting they they've settled on nearly the same favorite room that you have.

So, when's #20? You have a bit longer than 3 weeks this time, don't you?

Welcome back to the real world! Glad to hear you had a great anniversary and another wonderful trip. We anxiously await your trip report and all the new pix :)

Hey Dave, I hope you had a great trip too. I know you were in Orlando around the time we sailed. Yep, our anniversary is actually Feb. 14th, but we celebrated a week early because we got a better price. When you cruise as often as us, you have to save where you can!
The other couple doesn't have a website, nor do they know about DIS, but I have their address so I'll be sending them the link so they can come "visit" soon. I know they will feel right at home here! They tend to book back-to-back cruises on the Wonder, and I think we are sailing with them again in July. The only major thing we differ on is that they like doing "firsts" (first Magic cruise, 1st Wonder cruise, 1st 7-day, and they will be on the 1st Western itinerary), but we don't like a lot of hoopla so we like to do "seconds" (second voyage of the Wonder & we'll be on the second Western). But I love their idea of back-to-back cruises...in Aug./Sept. we are cruising on the Wonder, followed by four days at WDW and then back on the ship. Now hubby is lobbying me just to stay on the Wonder and do THREE in a row!!

Welcome BACK, Barb and Tony!!! :) How great that you had yet another magical cruise. Hope it's not too long till the next one! ;)

Hey there
Thank you for taking the time to call yesterday - I wasn't with you in body, but sure was in spirit and thoughts - glad to hear everything went so great and that you had the chance to rest up - I remember when WDW opened up in October '71 in Orlando - I took the children and myself every month for years - This is one of their greatest memories now that they have grown up - several of them still go quite a bit and take their children. Anyhow am so glad that Tony enjoyed the gift and that you was able to follow up on Karen - I was full of curiosity with her - glad you filled me in. Anyhow take care and will chat with you soon.
Stay safe
Always
Shirley
