Back from DLR! Here is our trip report.

Oh and if anyone should doubt the powers of Ridemax and/or Hydroguy.... don't! We did both parks in 3 days and rode every ride we wanted at least once. We never felt rushed, never ran from one end of the park to the other or missed out on the atmosphere and magic of disneyland. And we had time left over to just do whatever we wanted..

We left the park wanting nothing and never waited in line over 15-20 minutes. We really enjoyed our trip.

Read your whole trip report - great job!
Sorry you didn't get to ride Nemo or Indy. But it sounds like you all had a great time anyway. Glad DW ankle healed up pretty quickly.
Thanks for sharing.:)

Great Trip Report! It sounds like you had a blast!!! I can't wait to go!!

Question... so on splash mountain kids can't sit with an adult in the same section except the last seat??? Ever?

Thanks!

re: splash

that's my experience. Only the last seat is a side-by-side seat. All of the others are one in front of the other. You can put your kid in front of you and then hold onto their shoulders, but there is a seat back between you and you have to sit forward to reach them.

Brenda1966 is correct. The last time I was at DLR was well over 12 years ago and if I remember correctly the log was just a big hallowed out log with a single bench, so you were essentially all lap riding.

Now, each seat has it's own private seat back and there are signs posted at the boarding dock that state "NO LAP RIDING". So, if you put your child in front of you they are in their own seat. You can in a sense lean forward and reach around the seat to hold on to them but it would make for a very uncomfortable ride experience. The back seat is a bench that is wide enough for two people to sit side by side. This ended up being the only way my DD5 would ride Splash (and I don't blame her, I was worried about my DS5 all by himself). My advice is that if you have a timid young one to make sure to ask the CM for the back seat.

I bought Ridemax and wondered if it'll do right by us! Thanks for your words of support for it and HydroGuys info!!!!:thumbsup2 Our turn will come in August to try it all out!
Thanks!
