i took the boys to see oceans today (after getting our free earth day hat at the disney store) -- it was beautiful --- must see on the big screen. amazing shots and just wonderful --- there are some circle of life stuff but no blood --
both of my boys (4 and 8) really enjoyed it but they are REALLY into animals and are like sponges -- tyler kept leaning over saying --- see that blue whale - its the biggest animal in the world and do you know it never rains in the gallopogos(SP?) --- reminder he is 4
i would recomend it to all

Awesome--thanks for the review!! We're taking our 4 to see it on Saturday...3 of our 4 are HUGE animal fans so this should be a hit for them!

THanks for posting! I was thinking that it might be too uninteresting to a 4 year old. My DS4 loves animals, so it seems like we'll be headed out to the movies tomorrow!

We chose How to Train Your Dragon over Oceans yesterday, but I'd like to see it on the big screen, thanks for the review!

My girls both enjoyed it -- our school took all the Middle Schoolers yesterday for Earth Day. The High School is seeing it today in conjunction with Beach Clean Up day.

is this all new footage? - or is any of it repeated from the planet earth series?

I liked it! I seriously was so upset about the turtles though. I want a nature documentary where it's just animals having fun and swimming around, and no circle of life stuff.

If you want to see a hilarious nature documentary ZTH, go find Sexual Encounters of the Floral Kind. It is narrated by a hilarious British man. Hehehe... ahhh high school. ;) Or there is always the dolphin documentary featuring Robin Williams!

But on topic, I really want to see this! Hmm... need to find someone to go with me though!

We saw Oceans yesterday and it was a big hit with everyone. DS(4) is 'playing' the movie right now LOL.

The only tentative moment we had was the turtle part. DS started asking, "What are the birds doing? Why are they picking up the babies? Are they helping them to the ocean? Are they bringing them to thier mommies?" Nothing else bother him and thankfully he thinks the birds were just being helpful.

Looking forward to seeing this with my girls tomorrow (5 and 2.5).

We started to watch some of the Life series on Discovery ... and they loved it - until things started eating each other....so I'm hoping they'll really enjoy this "kid-friendly" version... and thanks for the heads-up about the turtles!
