I have to share. I went to a work related event last night, and I won the grand door prize--a 20 inch flat panel LCD high def television! Woot woot!

All I can say is that it had better be a Philips TV.

:confused3:
I posted earlier today and it never showed up. :rolleyes1

Elaine, it was a beautiful day. I did manage to get a walk in, which was nice. :)

Yay on your TV win, Karen! :bounce:

Tara, enjoy those DVD's. My boys love theirs. They were a life saver driving down to FL last year and will be again this year. :teeth:

Sorry about the appliance thing going on there.

Kim, Ohh love that line. I'm aspiring to be that good!

Elaine, sorry you didn't get pics. I love to go to the zoo.

Watching AI now. Then will catch the 2nd part of Ten Commandments. Giving up House for it. (Already missed quite a few sadly.) Hope they get reruns on the series. Still think I like the original Charlton Heston, Yul Brenner version sigh.

Pretend I'm Kimmar and I'm STEALING a ketchup!! :rotfl2:...

....... :furious: ....ohhh, Mo-o-o-o-o-om......:snooty:...Tara's being MEan again..... :rolleyes1 ....NOW, yer gonna get it.....

It's a Sharp TV, John. It was free. I didn't get to pick the brand.

I love my portable DVD players. It is definitely great on the plane. I usually travel with my laptop, but it's too big to keep open if the person in front of my reclines their seat, so it's nice to have the smaller DVD player to use.

Watching House... Luis watched AI and honestly only one performance didn't make me laugh... the poor members of Queen ;)

Kimmar, don't I look stunning in that pic?

Glad you enjoyed hte movie Nancy... not sure what I think of that one myself.

John, why Phillips? I admit I know nothing about LCD screen TVs. They aren't my cup of tea, but honestly, free is perfect price for me too :teeth:

Is it a wide screen TV Karen?

Sherry, glad you got your walk in! I know I wanted to get another walk in today before the storms hit, so Luis and I went to Graeter's

Lily, hope you enjoy 10 Commandments! I was afraid to watch this version since I liked the original so much.

I'm going back to knitting and watching House... see ya!

Hi gang,

Sorry i wasn't around much...I was enjoying the train wreck of the parenting thread!! :lmao: I was feeling quite snippy today!! hehehehe

Anyway, Kimmar no need to go telling mom about it...just consider us even now! k? :teeth: !!!

The tire only need about 45 minutes with the wash...but they were slammed this morning and couldn't take us in until later. I dropped the car off and then we walked about a mile up the road and had lunch. Ethan was such a doll and the weather was perfect!! The tire didn't cost me anyting either!! woohoo!!

Karen...great deal on the tv! My brother got a flat screen mega tv at some company event a couple ofmonths ago...but then he had it professionally installed and had the satelite company come in and hook it up and the tivo and it ended up costing him a couple hundred dollars  I figured it was jut plug and play!!

Tomorrow is house cleaning and packing for the trip. gotta hide all the easter bunny crap in the suitcase so the easter bunny can come to the hotel!! I hope he doesn't hop on by us!!

gonna run now!! have a great evening all!!

tara

Good morning everyone!

Tara, have a great trip to wherever you are going (I somehow missed that along the way).

Elaine, it is not a widescreen (I wish it was). When I move, I will probably buy a widescreen TV for the living room, and put this one in the bedroom. It's not what I would have picked out, but when I get a TV for free, I'll take it. (I looked online to see how much it was, and it was onsale at Circuit City this week for $550).

Morning Ya Yas!

Lovely day in the neighborhood.

JRKaren, I'm with you about grabbing that free and counting my blessings. However, I think like Tara said that it would end up costing me a few extra $ along the way. You know, gotta have that comfy chair or furniture to put in the same area, gotta get cable, sattelite and on and on... :)

Tara, have a great weekend. I'm sure the Bunny wil find your guys somehow.

No sunshine today, guess it will have to be me.
:sunny:
Have a great day everyone

Good morning all! I plan to be busy today and not around all that much.

LOL, Kimmar, I didn't know Nancy had gotten that one either :p

Tara, do we have to search your posts now to see what you've been up to? :teeth: I gotcha on the tire now, and not having to pay is worth a wait for me ::yes::

Karen, have you thought of selling that TV before you even use it and see if you can get yourself a nicer one with some of your money? :teeth: I guess I would do that myself. Or probably give it away to someone. I can't stand looking at our regular TV upstairs much. And that one is a bit small for me... can you tell I am a techno snob :rolleyes1
But I still think that it is really cool that you won!

Lily, I agree, that Bunny is one smart guy! He always knows where people are and even what the weather is like (for outside hunts if you do them). That is usually one busy bunny on the night of Easter!!!

Once again my post disappeared. :confused3:

Its 65 here today, but cloudy and rain is predicted off and on today.

Tara, enjoy your trip.

Karen, enjoy that new TV. Free is always good. :teeth:

Wow, I am gone almost all day and no one except Sherry posts?

Sherry, I've had trouble too, unfortunately I seem to lose PMs instead of posts

Warm, but very windy here today... we were suposed to get rain, but I have no clue where it is.

I think next week I'll finally ahve to start mowing the lawn again.

Hey gang,

Well we have come to the conlcusion that what mom had wasn't food poisoning. It appears to have been a virus because at 10 last night Ethan began getting sick and required multple clothes changes as well as bedding changes. The last time he got sick was around 430. But by then I was feeling yucky. I'm not as bad as he and mom were I just feel yuck. I did sleep for 4 hours and now I'm trying to decide if I feel okay or not!

We are leaving for Natural Bridge, VA tomorrow morning (hopefully!!).

Gonna go lay down for a while before I pack!!

Back later,
tara

Hi all :wave2:

These past two weeks have been really rough. My dog got sick and we had to put her to sleep last weekend. Seems I am the only emotional one in the family and am having a hard time with it.Of course I am the one she followed everywhere. Seems really wierd now.

Tara enjoy your trip. I went there when I was little. Don't remember much but, the cold water I fell into.

Karen congrats on the tv. I have a neighbor who one a flat screen tv and they do not even have cable.

Weather is getting hot here. Suppose to get to about 90. No rain for us. Sad because we really need it.

Afternoon, all!

Kimmar, that is such a lovely pic of all of us! I didn't know about Nancy's tatoo, either ;)

Sorry about the missing posts, Sherry. DIS must be hungry again.

Hi, Tina!! Good to see you drop in!! Sorry to hear about your dog--don't worry, she's in doggie heaven and probably romping around with my Princess I had as a kid! Hope you feel better soon.

Tara, I've got that same virus this afternoon!! Either that or that one helping of frioles I had yesterday didn't agree with me. :rolleyes1

Laine, sounds like we have the same weather! Don't know where that rain is, but the sun ain't shining, either. Thankfully, we have the warmth--it's currently 73º. LOVE it!!!

Whoo-freaking-hoo on the new TV, Karen!! You are one lucky Ya Ya, that's for sure!!!

Thanks for the spot of :sunny: , Lily! You walking today?

Laundry calls.......have a great evening, everyone! :grouphug:
