Hey gang,
I was lurking today but not much into posting. Not much into doing anything right now. One of them dang headaches yesterday...same as everyone else around here.

Hope Nancy is enjoying her trip and has arrived safely. Elaine..we are leaving on the 23 and returning on the 3rd. So we will be there only on the 2nd when you are there. Our flight is at noon on Sunday so we will be gone by 10 that morning.

Paula...good luck with Chris. Not much to give you except hugs!!

can't think of anything else righ tnow. Think I'm heading to bed soon.

Morning all... too early for me, I think. I was dreaming nicely when the alarm went off... that usually makes it harder for me to get up.

Tara, I hope you feel better today! And we should overlap. I like to take the early flight out there so we'll get there at about 10 am at the latest on the 2nd. The other option is to leave the night before and stay at a cheapy hotel the first night if the early flight isn't an option So I am sure we'll see each other before you go

I have errands I should probably do today. And then tomorrow I get to go buy another BaB as well as get my hair cut with Criagy-poo

Paula...sorry to hear all going on with Chris. My brother is trying to stop smoking right now, not sure it is going very well.

Decided to get out of the house today - grocery shopping at BJ's - shopping for Alyssa's b-friends birthday gifts - possibly lunch at Panera with a co-worker - anything to lighten the mood.

I have been playing on the theme parks board, the thread "you know you are an addict when..." I am over it. Too funny.

Anyway, I hope there are some people around this weekend to keep us from being lost in the abyss!!

I can check into my hotel tomorrow at 2 and begin cropping at 3pm!! yippee!!!

The head feels somewhat better today. I think a lot of it has to do with stress.

I have to do my lesson plans for tomorrow. I have done the activity but I have not done the lesson plans yet! So off I go to get that done today!!

Whew! I thought I'd never find a chance to get to the computer today! Finally home and able to sit back and relax a bit. Our District Manager was in town and stopped in for a store inspection today. Stressful, as usual, but thankfully, we got a

And now for the of the day......it only took 3 months and 3 weeks, but I received an email from my former boss (the nice one) asking if I would consider coming back part-time to do the bookkeeping for them!! The guy they hired just didn't work out and the books are a mess and PLEEEEEEEEEASE, could I help them out. OMG, I almost wet my pants I was laughing so hard!! I already went back shortly after I left for a few hours to help the guy get a bit of a handle on the books, but I could tell he was almost as dumb as a box of rocks!! No mention was made of the boy genius, but even so, I'm thinking it took a lot for nice boss to bring himself to ask. Especially after he promised me, before I left, that I would receive a Christmas bonus and it still hasn't materialized. And, oh you better believe I'm going to bring up that empty promise when we discuss compensation! I also intend to demand a healthy raise--I think I just might have the upper hand, this time. So, guess where I'm spending tomorrow morning (since I don't have to work at the store till 4)?!

Sorry you are feeling stressed, Paula. I hope the shopping expedition and lunch helped you relax and raised your spirits a bit. I know it feels pretty hopeless, some days, with Chris, but trust me, "This, too, shall pass." You seem to be on the right track, banning the smoking in the house and on the deck, etc. No amount of talking from his parents is going to convince him to quit. He's at the age where he thinks adults are stupid, brainless, idiots! Five years from now, he will be absolutely amazed at how smart you've become!! LOL!! I was never able to talk my DS out of smoking, but I've managed to let it go. He's an adult now and if he wants to destroy his body, that's his problem. I just make sure he knows how it hurts those who love him to see him continually causing himself harm.

Aww, Sherry, sorry to hear you may be coming down with a cold. Has your weather been as screwy there as it is here? Take care of yourself and here's a little something to help you feel better

Tara, you lucky devil, you!! Scrapping all weekend, or just overnight? I managed to assign a couple of new samples to myself yesterday and today, I got to decorate one of the bulletin boards in the crop room, but I'm itching to scrap my OWN stuff! Of course, that means I have to unpack the boxes and organize the stuff in the new area, here...........Hope you manage to complete your lesson plans in record time and can get on to the fun stuff that much faster!! Well, Dave is coming down with a cold, too. Hoping he keeps it to himself and doesn't share. Isn't the timing perfect?! I finally have a Saturday off when we can spend time together and he's gonna be all snuffly and barking. Sigh.... Maybe I better get some of that chicken soup for him!

Beth...I get the whole weekend....3pm tomorrow until sunday evening! We are staying on site so all we have to do is roll out of bed and go straight to the cropping room. So would you work with the nice boss around your store hours?? Or are you thinking of cutting back on your store hours to do this?

I'm not even packed for this weekend, but the nice thing is i don't really have to pack too much!! If i forget something, i"m only 20 minutes from home!!
