Yes, Alan, it was vewy vewy quiet...and big, too!

I knew you'd have something to say about it, lol!

Suzanne

Amanda, a friend of mine at work had a mirror on their desk for that reason. She had a protector but sometimes needed to know when someone came up behind her since she worked on some "sensitive stuff" Maybe you ought to do that ;)

Betty, we had a similar snow fall last night. I was up at 2 am and saw it starting. Granted we had some more snow since it did stick to the streets, but it was still mostly just pretty to see.

Tara, I hope your day does get better

Suzanne, I forgot to say I wish I had more of you in me. I have a hard time ditching thigns. That's why the house gets so cluttered so quickly. but I was proud of myself because I just threw out a bunch of stuff I normally would keep. I"m about to get back at it again :teeth: I'm probably far more sentimental than you, so I could use a good balance between me and Luis ;)

Alan

I suppose I need to get up and start again. If y'all see me online too much, yell at me to get things done!

Oh, Sherry, what a blow for Junior and you all! Definitely sending more prayers and PD in your direction!

Got the call at 6:45, my MIL passed away early this morning. Dave was already at work, but now he's home and we're packing to spend the next 3 days in NJ. Most of the family had a chance to visit with her yesterday, so that was a good thing. Dave says she definitely knew him yesterday and she seemed to recognize most of the other family members as late as last night, although she was unable to talk. We are so very grateful for all the prayers and well wishes we have received and so glad she passed so easily, without much pain. Knowing that she is in a better place now is the greatest comfort of all.

Betty, it's so good to see you again!! You are so lucky to have that kind of snow. But I don't dare wish for snow any more--JRKaren claims my last year's wish brought 85 feet of snow to Boston! No more wishing for snow for me!!

Tara, it's definitely leftover full-moon craziness, I'm sure. That moon was just so big and beautiful the other night! Sorry you have to deal with the "after-effects".

Dryer just buzzed, so I best get the last couple of things in the suitcase so we can hit the road. Ya'll have a great afternoon and I'll check in with you later. :grouphug:

Beth,

Please let Dave know our prayers are with him and his family. They've had a rough year, that's for sure. Safe travels.

Suzanne

boards aren't cooperating

I'm in a rush but wanted to stop by and give :grouphug: to Dave and Beth....so sorry for your loss. I am glad she is at peace now...but it is always still painful for those that will miss her.

Also :grouphug: for Sherry and Junior. I hope all goes well. My father was on insulin pills for about a year, and through diet, he got to stop after that (of course, if he was on his own the diet thing wouldn't have happened  )
Best wishes getting it all straightened out and to adjusting.

I am headed to the movie...all by myself for my birthday ;)
We celebrated on Sunday with dinner out and cake,....which I then sent home with Christin.
Got my hair cut and colored yesterday and lunch out with Dave.
Good present ::yes:: And cash to spend while on the trip :hyper:

We paid for the insurance when the kids were in school. The extra car was in our names with them added to all vehicles, but it was bought for their use.
Still paid for their insurance in college also.

Gotta run to make the show in time

Boards aren't cooperating much for me, either

Bethie  I am so very sorry for you and Dave, but you are right, she is in a better place now. My prayers are with you all!

Nancy, sounds like you have had a great birthday celebration!! I feel like a fool, I had some confetti set aside and I blanked on sending a birthday card  I seriously lost track of the date

Off to finish folding my laundry... fun stuff :p

Beth and Dave I'm so sorry for your loss. Drive safely. Big hugs to both of you!

The crazies at school are better but not so sure about the home. I am a little afraid to call home and find out about his day. His behavior this morning was one of those really REALLY off days so I called the counselor to ask for advice on how to handle it. So I am armed now and ready to do battle :teeth: .

(one hour pause in the typing of this post  )

I just talked to mom and she said that he came home from school happy and pleasant AND he got his sticker for the day!!

I finally have his speech evaluation appt. set up. That will be in two weeks. His OT evaluation is still months off since they are about 7 months behind schedule. So I have to get the name of a private OT evaluation place to get it done a little sooner.

My tutoring kids are on the computers so I'm not too busy right now!

gonna go check on the kids. bAck later!
tara

Beth and Dave, I am so sorry for your loss. My prayers are with you.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, NANCY!!! :bounce:

Thanks for the prayers for Junior. He has been very overwhelmed and stressed out by all this. And, tomorrow, he goes to the plant dr. and finds out if they have a job for him to do, or if he will remain on disability. *sigh* I really hope he can go back, that would take a lot of stress of him, if he could.

Amanda, good to see you. :) Right now they are going to try the meds and diet. If that doesn't work, they will discuss the next step. I'm praying the meds work. ::yes::

Tara, I am glad to hear that the news at home was much better than you expected! I guess the crazies wore off on some at least!

Sherry, I'll keep Junior in my prayers for the work thing. I cannot imagine how hard that has been on you all with that. I hope they'll have a job for him to do.

Well I had one fo those good for nothing days... as in I felt like I was good for nothing  Hopefully tomorrow will go better, but stupid things at home just finally got to me *sigh*

In case I just curl up with Luis and sleep, have a good night everyone :)

Good evening, all!

Dave and Bethie, so sorry to hear about your mom. I hope that she was comfortable in her final hours. I hope that you have the strength and support you need to make it through these days.

Happy birthday, Nancy!

Suzanne, my next Scotty and Ray fix is next week for my birthday! Woofreakinghoo!

Tara, it was Independence Air that went belly up, I believe. I am flying JetBlue next week.

I'm over my sister's house right now staying with my nephew. Today is my brother-in-law's 50th birthday, and they got tickets to a basketball game. My nephew has a 101 temperature, and isn't feeling well, so I'm staying with him so the rest of them could go to the game. Poor guy is just lying on the couch watching cartoons.

Well, that's all for now.

JellyrollsKaren

Good morning all! I did crawl into bed as soon as I got something set up for the day and watched some TV before falling asleep early! I would be back in bed sleeping if I could ;)

Karen, I hope that your nephew is feeling much better soon!

Provided I actually feel like doing something outside the home today, I plan on shopping for a couple of things I would need for the trip. Hopefully I can find what I am looking for!

Morning all....

HUGS to Dave, his family and Beth. PRAYERS also.

Elaine...I do have a mirror. It is small and was a gift from a co-worker in Turkey. Doesn't show enough and I am not usually looking at it.

Hope everyone has a great day.

Hi Ya Yas! I'mmm Baaacck! Just what Tara said oh so long ago.

Oh how funny Amanda! I never knew anyone else who did that!

Welcome back Lily!!! I was wondering what on earth happened to you!! I figured maybe you decided to stay with Mickey forever ;)

Luis just called so I get to be errand girl and then I am going to look for some clothes for WDW. I figured I might as well while I was out :)

Morning, all. About to head out for the doctor's appointment. The big 40 is this year, so I've got to get all those baseline exams done. At least I'm starting early in the year.

I got some PM's and I'll reply when I get back.

Suzanne

Good Morning....

Beth, Dave and family - my thoughts and prayers are with you

Suzanne - good luck at the doctors appt.
Eliane - shopping sounds fun...can I come??
Nancy - sould like you had quite a nice birthday!!
Tara - glad to hear yesterday was a good day.
Lily - welcome back!!

Not much to report from here. chris went looking at cars yesterday - we didn't talk about it much ...he worked on garage plans with Jeffrey last night.

I need to get motivated.....more later....

Paula, be glad you didn't go shopping with me. It was a bust. I kind of wish I hadn't gone now.

Suzanne good luck with the doc today!

I feel too blah right now... I probably should've known not to try looking for something specific. I always walk away disappointed.

Thanks to all for your good thoughts, prayers and any good things you sent my way while I was trekking. They all worked! I DID IT! I am still amazed and will talk until you are bored to tears about it all, so stay away from me. :D

My guys said that they respected me for my effort. I am thrilled about that beyond explaining. That was the best thing that could have been said for me from my guys. I love them.

I did have a bit of a Meltdown while there, but it didn’t last too long. Vegging this week and will have a massive busy weekend. Seeing Evita Friday then working Saturday and Sunday.

JRKaren, how’s that toe?
