Well, we are getting to leave work early!

So y'all have a happy and safe Thanksgiving and behave while I am gone.

Got 13 dozen cookies done....first round :teeth:
Pizza dough is rising for dinner tonight.

Guess everyone is busy today getting ready for tomorrow and some for trips :)

Howdy!

I'm tired, but still in a good mood. I volunteered to go back at 8pm. We got 300+ boxes Sunday, 275 yesterday and another 175 today. Gotta get all that stuff unpacked and ready for the 5am shoppers. I'm happy that I'm not on Friday morning that early! There's a bottle of wine chilling for when I get home!

Wow, all the packing and preparations that are going on. Hope you all packed a lightweight jacket, it was 50 this morning.

Tara, you're still mowing in November? Up in Maryland, we usually could stop the first week of October. Cell phone number, check!

JRKaren, I hope they got your heat working quickly!

Lainey, if you've got the 813 area code, you've got the right number. It hasn't changed.

Bethie, pop up card making sounds cool.

Nancy, so a quiet day for you and Dave, eh? I want you to bottle the smells from all that baking! Thanks for my name-some of the stuff I've been gathering all year is perfect, lol!

Liz is back home, and totally tuckered out. I have yet to talk to her today, but she flew home yesterday morning. Her dad was expected to get out of the hospital last night-there are still tests to do and treatments to be worked out.

Lily, got snowshoes for your wogging these days?

Shhhh about the Xbox-someone here is on game restriction for a loooooong time and might get one for his birthday. In April!

Paula, enjoy having Alyssa home for the holiday!

Hi to Alan, Todd, Karen, and everyone else I missed.

Yes, it's obvious Christmas is around the corner. My tree is up and Kevin popped in Mickey's Magical Christmas. I think he's excited that we're hanging the lights tomorrow.

For all those traveling, safe journeys!

Suzanne

Quiet day today for just me...Dave went into work
Quiet day for us tomorrow...I see some movies in the morning ;)
I think I need to watch Home for the Holidays again.
Christin might come by after dinner....for her share of the cookies ;)
She has to be to work at 4:30 on Friday

:wave2: All!
Took 1/2 day off and did a bit of shopping. just couldn't sit still at work thinking about all the things I need to do and get done. Plus :Pinkbounc off the walls, can't wait to be at WDW :teeth: No bags packed yet, heck the laundry isn't even done. I'm such a last minute person

Nancy-pass the cookie plate. I'm going to a friend's house for T'giving but, I'm starting to be a little :sad2: about not being w/my mom and family. Sounded like a good idea at the time to stay in town, now I'm not so sure.
Pass that plate of cookies, please.

Elaine- MINT KIT KATS ARE EVIL THINGS!
Phone number is still the same. Went by Sprint today to get a different charger as the one port in phone no longer works. Was looking at getting a new phone but, they sure aren't giving any deals to long time Sprint customers. Well, not the same deals they give for new customers so kinda made me a little, well alot mad!

Tara- same here about the driving only I usually have a Starbuck's in the other hand.
:wave2: to everyone I missed. DS is here and wants to watch a movie. Gosh I hope I can talk him out of watching The Pacifier AGAIN!

Nancy - please come and make my strawberry jello salad for me! Pretty, pretty please!! :goodvibes

Snowing like crazy here. :guilty:

My guys went bear hunting but didn't have any luck - although they saw all kinds of fresh tracks. So - to my Ya Ya holiday exchanger, I am sorry but there will be NO bear roadkill in your package.

Cookies for you, Rose Mary.
I tried a new one today...a cranberry orange oatmeal...and they are soooo good.
Also sugar cookies. Help yourself. Eat lots ::yes::
I should not have made ones that I like so much

Pam, sure, I will do your jello for you. The pretzel one? Or are you making another?
I miss cooking the big meal (did I say that  ). I swear when I was doing it I hated it.
Out to dinner for us tomorrow ;)
Still time for that bear.....but that would make for an awful heavy package to mail.

Hope everyone has a great day tomorrow ....and safe travels for those going elsewhere.
I will be here, but I have a feeling that tomorrow will be a quiet one in yaya-DL.

Just a quick hello to everyone! I'm not going to type long.

The heat is still out, and will most likely be out until Friday or Saturday. I'm staying home tonight. It's about 43 degrees in the house now. It's cold, but not unbareable. My sisters' are bugging me to go sleep at their houses, but I just don't want to. I want to stay in my own house.

I went to see "Rent" this afternoon. I enjoyed it, but I really need to see it again. This show has really changed my life, and I'm not exactly sure how I feel about the movie yet.

Well, that's all for now.

JellyrollsKaren

Nancy - not the pretzel one -- this one is strawberry jello, strawberries, and cool whip.

Nope - bear was only in for 3 days. My guys only got a couple of hours hunting after school on Monday and Tuesday and then all day today (well, several hours) since DS had the day off.

JRKaren - please stay warm!! Pile on the blankets. And I know that tomorrow will be very hard for you and Suzanne - please know that I am thinking of you both. One of my writers/friends called me this afternoon to say that her Mom had died earlier today. :guilty:

Hi gang!

Well, this is my last post until I return next weekend! I hope everyone has a happy and safe Thanksgiving tomorrow. I know I am very thankful not only for my rl friends and family but my yaya one as well. Eat lots tomorrow!

To those of you I will see soon I can't wait!! Travel safe!!

hugs to all!
tara

Hi Ya Yas!

I know I'm late in wishing some safe travels, but safe travels to all! I look forward to the pics and stories.

Karen, too bad you didn't know about your nasty dentist sooner. Glad you had a back up handy.

JRKaren, s-s-s-stay w-w-warm. Sorry no heat. PJ party at family might be fun. (warm too)

Elaine, I actually watched House last night! Wierd one for me. Don't know if it's b/c it was odd or just that it's my mood.

Sherry, I know my guys will certainly be wishing they had that XBox. They use theirs all the time.

My procedure was not as bad as I expected. Now just waiting a bit b4 I call doc for results. Happy to be home for a long weekend. Brought some work with me. Gotta love it $$ need to build up for my trip. Just ordered plane tickets for 4. No wogging in the snow for me. Maybe I'll go out to make snow angels tomorrow. Probably heading to bed soon. Just hanging and enjoying a peaceful evening.

Quick drive through... honestly not sure how much I can be here between now and when I return from WDW...

mad love to you all!

And happy thanksgiving :)

HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE!!!

Safe travels Tara. Hope you have a WONDERFUL time!!!

Sherry Im glad my two boys havent really heard about the XBox 360 LOL. There is no way I would be waiting in the cold for one. Im glad Junior was able to get one for your boys. Gonna have some VERY happy campers come Christmas morning!!!

Karen Im so sorry the furnish is on the fritz at your house. I can understand wanting to be home though. Please keep yourself warm.

My thoughts and prayers go out also to Karen and Suzanne this holiday season. If either of you need someone to talk to Im always here. I know what its like to lose parents so close to the holiday season.

Todd I cant wait to see new pictures of the girls. They are growing so fast!

Here is is 10 and 2 also. I was told that by a car salesman. Its because if they are in that postion it keeps your hands from flying up in your face if the airbags deploy.

Lily I am so glad your procedure went well. You have been through it this year. I hope the report from the doctor is a good one. Please make a snow angel for me too!! Thats one thing I miss about no snow here.

Nancy those cookies sound yummmmmy!!

Pammy and Paula Im glad your kidlets are at home for the holidays and that they got home safely. Thats the thing I dont miss about snow....the driving. I dont think I could do it.

Glad to hear Liz is home. My thoughts and prayers are still going out to her as she deals with whats happening with her father.

RM I hear ya on cell phone companies not offering good phone deals for long time customers. I have Cingulair and they stink when it comes to that. You dont get an upgrade option until you are almost done with a two year agreement. Glad you got some shopping time in. We had to go to Wally World tonight to get some warmies. Its too cool down here and the boys have grown out of their warmies....they are getting too tall LOL.... from last year and I am thinner than last year so I needed new warmies too!

Well I got my bridge today and it looks AWESOME!!!! You cant even tell where the bridge is and where my real teeth are!!! He not only filled in the gap where the missing tooth in the front was but also filled in a couple of gaps on the side which you really couldnt see but made me self conscious. It looks so natural that the lab guy had to ask me after he got the thing in which tooth was the fake one because he couldnt tell. My dentist is extatic about the way it came out. He agreed with me that we need to work on the bottoms and make a bridge for there before we even consider capping the top teeth and making it a permanent bridge since this looks so natural and beautiful. He wants that for my lowers also. You dont really see my lowers when I smile and most of the problem there is on the sides but it still makes me feel funny. I hugged the stuffing out of both my dentist and the lab guy with tears of happiness in my eyes. I am SO glad I went back to this dentist even if he isnt on my insurance plan because he really is a master at what he does and he is so sweet and so caring. He is worth saving the money to go and see and have him work on my mouth. It feels a little funny and my mouth is a little sore but that will go away in a couple of days. Im already talking normally which he warned me actually might not happen for a couple of days as this bridge goes across my palate. I am just SO pleased. It was worth the hell I went through with that other dentist......they say things happen for a reason!

Well I guess I better get myself back off to bed. Got five hours of drive time tomorrow...2.5 there and 2.5 back......to go to Tday dinner with dhs family. Hope everyone has a WONDERFUL and SAFE Thanksgiving!!!

HUGS TO ALL!!! :grouphug:

******HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL!******

THANKS, to all of you for being part of my extended family! Hope everyone has a HAPPY, SAFE and WARM day!

Off to the kitchen........................ :wave2:

Hi everyone!!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!!!!!

Got alot done yesterday - house cleaned - went to Panera for lunch with Alyssa - then to Barnes and Noble and Target. Last night prepared desserts and made the stuffing (new recipe this year - my first time making the stuffing) - washed all the dishes and silver for today - whew!!

Alyssa got together with 7 high school friends last night - they went out to Starbucks then back here to watch Emperors New Groove.

I'm working now - till 1pm. Turkey in the oven - just have to peel potatoes. Alyssa is at work - Chris working 10:30- 2:30. My dad and inlaws coming for sit-down - rest of my husands family (4 brothers - wives - kids) coming tonite.

those crazy turkeys are in my back yard feeding - they obviously know that Jeffrey already put out domesticated bird in the oven and they feel safe - haha.

As I give thanks today I will be thinking of all of you.....thankful for your friendship and support -wishing you all a fun day - filled with good food and laughter - good safe travels to those "on the move" !!!!

Happy Thanksgiving!!!!

I do hope you all have a wonderful day!!!!! Wish I could say it was nice, like Rose Mary, but ours is white :p

Need to run, love y'all!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!

Got my turkey in the oven about an hour ago. Gotta peel some potatoes and make some stuffing soon. Trekking everything over to my mom's house around 1:00, and we are eating around 2'ish.

Got a couple inches of snow last night. Blech!! I hate winter. :rolleyes1

Tara & Paula! :grouphug: What sweet Thanksgiving sentiments! And I so agree! :goodvibes

Well -- I am  at Nancy! The little squirt didn't show up to make my jello strawberry salad like she said she would do! I see a very special fermented Roadkill Package being shipped to the Northwest in the near future..........

Elaine and Sherry -- we have a couple of inches of snow, too. DS wants to try out his Mustang on a side road to see how it handles in the snow. He's a level-headed kid, said he was taking his Dad along for the ride to make sure he could handle it.

Can you believe that it's supposed to be 50 by Sunday and 55 by Monday?? My hunters are very sad.

Karen - yay for the new bridge! :cheer2:

Lily - how are you feeling today? Did you take it easy last night??

Liz - saying continued prayers for your Dad.

Safe travels to all my Ya Ya sistahs and bothers!

Happy Thanksgiving Yaya Family!!

Sorry, Pam....I made the one with pretzels and you didn't want that one ;)

Lily, glad the procedure wasn't as bad as you expected.

:cold: Cold here this morning!! But clear and looks like it will be sunny later.
Nothing cooking here......just 2 of us. Anyone want some company? This is our first year alone. I think next year we might go somewhere :)

I do have a pumpkin pie to help easy my pain :teeth:

Hope you all have a wonderful day......and those going to Disney.....safe travels and hugs all around for me please :grouphug:

Nancy,
You are cordially invited to attend Thanksgiving at my ILs -- where dysfunction truly rules.....

My parents are making their yearly Thanksgiving trip to the airport to pick up my aunt and uncle. This has been happening for 19 years now -- they can't seem to be able to fly out the day before. :confused3

And we are experiencing a virtual white-out at the moment!
