Good luck and have fun car shopping, Elaine.
Dave still hasn't done his

....wow, is it that time ALREADY???!?!

Morning All,

Been dealing with back pain so I havent been at the computer hardly at all. I saw the rheumatologist day before yesterday and he agreed that the med I was on for it wasnt the right one. He put me on a pain patch for two reasons. One Im in almost constant wicked pain with my back and two to try and keep down the amount of cortisone he has to give me since it messes with my cortisol levels so badly. I started the patch night before last. Takes a day to kick in and whoa nelly it kicked in this morning. I feel a little woozy which should wear off and Im a bit sick to my stomach which also should go away.

I heard from my friend that I lost touch with many years ago. We have been catching up by email. Im hoping soon to get together with her.

Well time to take youngest to school. I will try and checkin tonight and catchup.

HUGS TO ALL!! :grouphug:

Morning, all.

Karen, my mom was on that patch. It worked wonders. You may want to call the mfr and request the bioclusive covers...especially since you've been losing weight.

Yikes! All those car break ins!

We brought Neil for his first day in the new class. I think it'll be a good fit. It's all kids with Neuro impairments, but instead of teaching to the lowest common denominator (last year), they seem to have individualized lesson plans.

Dunno why I'm so sleepy, but I am. Maybe I'll head back to bed for a nap.

Suzanne

Tried to get in last night, but boards were down so I gave up

Pam, that really sucks about your DD's car!

I can't stay for long... I'm off to go shopping with my dad... and Luis is home today so I doubt I'll be around :wave2:

Yucckies! Tough breaks with your DD's car....mebbe it's the last of her bad luck for a while.... :confused3

Suzanne ~
Good morning!

Hi all.

Well - there was no shopping yesterday - seems as though the dreaded "freshman 15" has taken over and she refuses to try on clothes. We talked for quite a while yesterday - she has many mixed emotions about being home - would just like to stay - misses her school friends - hard to be "accoutable" after having school independence - all natural I think - she says she feels depressed. (not sure if I mentioned - her grades were posted - 3.74 for semester #1 - not too shabby!! says proud mom!!).

OK - I have to confess.....I may start exercising - my husband went to Wally-world last night and came home with the Gazelle!!! He's already been told I will not watch him do that in spandex - Tony Little he is not!! haha. I'm going to try it this morning - wish me luck.....

Pam.....so sorry to hear about DD car - what a way to get back to school....
Karen - hope the patch gives you some back relief.
Suzanne - hugs to Neil for good luck in the new class.
Elaine - enjoy your time with your dad.
Kimmy :wave2:
Nancy - any baking this week??

Well - I'm off - I'll check in later.

Good morning.

No baking this week. Sent all the leftover cookies to get them out of here!

Sorry, kimmar. My spring cleaning will take months
So glad I get a nice break in there :teeth:

It is warm this morning! Woke up to 58!!

Good morning, all!! It's nice to be connected to the outside world again!! I'm a bit  though, because we only moved about 4 miles and we couldn't keep the same phone number. Grumble-grumble!

You remember the way my Monday started with the keys and bank thing? You'll love this! When I finally got to the bank on Tuesday, I gave the girl 4 twenties and 2 tens, asking for 50 singles and 10 fives. She slapped a rubber-banded bundle on the counter, saying it was 50 singles and counted out the fives. No problem. I get back to the store and was putting the $$ into the drawers when I realized I had tens in my hand! Then, I couldn't remember if I had pulled them out of the cash drawer or not, so my manager and I ended up counting all the drawers all over again. Sure enough, I ended up with 15 tens MORE than I should have!! Just to be sure, we waited until after closing Tuesday night to be sure everything balanced. It did, so I called the bank yesterday morning and talked to the teller I had worked with. Yep, her drawer was short $184.65 on Tuesday! When I told her that I had $150 of it and would bring it back later, I heard a tearful "Oh, God BLESS you!!" I thought she was going to come over the counter and hug me when I handed it to her last night! Her manager was there and thanked me profusely for being honest and then took care of the day's deposit for me. So, I've done my good deed for yesterday, wonder what opportunities today will bring?!

Pam, I'm so sorry to hear of the break-in to your DD's car! Such a heartbreaking and just plain ugly thing to happen. It may sound cliche, but one DOES wonder what this world is coming to. This kind of thing happens too often, these days.

Nancy, I think you need to take a break and come visit me. You are the expert and I'm just starting to unpack boxes and organize cupboards and closets and the like. I need your help!!! I can offer you your own bedroom and private bath with jacuzzi tub while you're here :teeth:

Kimmar!! It's good to see you stopping in more often again! How are things up your way?

Suzanne, glad to hear things look good for Neil's new placement. I was soooo happy when they approved the same kind of thing for my son--only 12 kids in his class, 2 teachers and each kid had their own plan. Best thing that ever happened to him and he still talks about how it changed his outlook toward school entirely! Glad it's happening for Neil so much earlier in his school career. Sure hope you can get in touch with that lawyer--you've waited far too long already for that security deposit to be returned!!

Laine, hope you're having fun car shopping with your dad. I love looking at cars and test driving and all, but sitting down to make the deal is just agonizing for me. Hope your dad finds just the right vehicle and the purchase process is relatively painless. Hope your head is feelin' better, too.

Good luck at WDW this weekend, Lily! I'll be thinking of you and praying that all goes well for you and your DS. Have fun with it! Hope the weather cooperates and is nice and mild for ya, too. Seems like ya have to take your entire wardrobe this time of year with the way the weather changes!

Hi, Paula!! I'm with all the rest on the long skirt with boots for your DD when she heads for Broadway. Oh, how I envy her!! Been my dream for years to go see a show there. She will have a blast, I'm sure! Hope things are easing for you and life isn't weighing you down too much.

Been there.

Sorry you've been sick, Tara! I think maybe you need another weekend of scrapping to truly make you feel all better! LOL!! Never mind about cleaning out the office. Maybe if you ignore it, it will go away?? :rolleyes1 Maybe??!

Well, I think it's time I got showered and dressed and busy around here. Need to get the clothes out of the suitcases and back into the dressers and I need to research computer desks. Movers went to pick up the one Dave had and it literally fell apart. Then there's all the books to go back into the bookcases, craft and scrapping supplies to go back into their cupboards, drawers and bins, etc, etc, etc. And I need to get over to the old place and pack up all the good dishes and glassware so Dave has something to fetch and carry when he gets off work this afternoon. Moving is such fun :p

Have a great day, everyone! I'll drop in again later when I need a break! :grouphug:

Had the server down for maintenance notice last night. Grumping here.
Also been composing this all morning...

Morning Ya Yas!

So sorry about those break-ins and police report filing experiences.

Nancy, glad your WDW plans are all coming together…hope you get to see lots of DIS friends.

Elaine, good luck with the car shopping.

Suzanne, hope Neil’s first day is a great one.

Karen, PD for “pain-be-gone”

Paula, oh so sorry about DD’s 15—it is indeed what many go through. She’ll work it off now that she is pouty about it. Yes, independence of college life and coming home to house rules is always a difficult thing. It will sort itself out I hope.

Beth, what a marvelous ketchup! You are a gem to get that money thing sorted out. What a story. I don’t want to have that kind of day ever! Sorry about your change of phone number the paper chase will always be difficult. Seems like a full day in the works for you. Don’t get too tired.

For those who asked the following is the lesson for the day:
Nutcracker esophagus: it was explained in really basic terms as similar to irritable bowel syndrome only it is the esophagus that is irritable. It usually presents with difficulty swallowing (me) and chest pain (not me Whew!). Not much seems to be able to offer relief, no cure either from what I can understand. I am on an increase of Nexium (2x/day) and after about a month, will consult with doc to determine if I will try the calcium channel blocker meds. Thanks for the suggestion about homeopathic remedy. I am going to look into that. I started to look; it will take me a couple of research attempts to sort out what I can.

Hi Y'all-Y'alls!

I took a day to stay at home yesterday for Mrs. AA's mental relief ;) She really is feeling lousy and her back is giving all signs of about to go out again (It's been several years since it happened)

So I stayed home and took down the tree, lights, etc. and we cleaned out the girls playroom (throwing and giving away toys they have moved on from) to make room for their new loot. :)

Hi y'all, back from shopping. My dad is much slower on deciding things, but he is pretty sure he will be getting a Honda Accord.

Paula, congrats to Alyssa! That's great! I do hope she can find a way to lose the Freshman 15 though... I admit I liked OSU for that... you walked too dang much to gain on that campus :p But hope she can perk up some before she goes back to school.

Wish we had your temps Nancy... about 30° here... not the best with rainy/snowy stuff either out. I never did do spring cleaning myself... the rest of cleaning never stops for me ;)

Bethie, I bet she was thrilled about your call! I can only imagine how rough that would've been! Though really, at a bank you'd think they'd be far more careful! Oh and I love dealing on cars... part of why I went with my dad and probably will when he goes to buy :teeth:

Lily, that sounds yuck! I hope the increased Nexium will help though. Or anything else you might find!

:wave2: hi Alan!

So if the server was down for maintenance last night....what the heck did they do? Install somewhere for that server to take longer naps? :badpc: I've been getting that dang message about all morning.

Well, it started raining and the temp dropped 10 degrees :(

Christin never gained any weight either.....but there was a lot of walking there too...and very hilly.
Geoff however did....but more. He is still working on losing it.
I haven't done anything much today...so I better see what can get done.
The weather makes me want to curl up with a blanket and a book....and to think it was sunny this morning

I'm glad y'all had a good car hunt. It's nice to see your father looking at something that was endorsed by the early church at Pentecost too!

Acts 2:1 ;) (KSV)

Choir practice for us tonight... hopefully the cough won't be too bad...

Have a good evening all!

Last check before leaving in a.m. Going off to get those last minute ends stuffed in those places, then hang with family. DH is down with a cold. Told him to stay far away from me. Can't be ill til Sunday afternoon.

AA, hope the Mrs. was able to get the needed R&R and is feeling better.

Elaine, good that the selection is made.

See everyone on the 15th!

Go Lily!!!! I know you will do wonderful!!!! I cannot wait ot hear about it when you get back! You will not get sick... you will not get sick... you will not get sick ;)

Choir was good... but I have to get a good voice by Sunday. Doing an absolutely beautiful song. Though I will be shaking like a leaf I bet for it.

:wave2:

Can't sleep... love it

So far though (knock on wood) the boards have been behaving. Wonder if it had anything to do with the new one they just added... eh, but since I can post now, I might be able to catch up on PMs :hyper:

see y'all later!
