Ed just got called into work, so I'm on morning duty. That's good, we need him to pay for those $$$ brakes he got yesterday!

Got my doc today and meeting at the school. Neil's being pulled out of mainstream. Can't say I'm surprised.

In between, I'm going to be cleaning and pulling stuff out of the office. Decided we'll paint first, then put Kev's stuff in there.

Hi y'all... cleaning more here today too. Though some of it is kitchen (accidentally forgot to run the dishwasher on Monday so I am a littel behind) most of it is a room I am trying to redo/reorganize. So it is slow going. If I feel up to it, I'll head to Sams Club since we are low in the meat department.

Sherry, but the question is, are you happy?

Suzanne, good luck today! Sounds busy with the appts and all!

I may take Alyssa shopping to day - she 's at work now - I'm thinking that nothing in her vast array of PJ pants and ripped/frayed jeans is appropriate to wear for Broadway next week. Hmmm......channelling the fashion gurus.....it's an afternoon show....long skirt and boots maybe????

Sounds good to me. She'll be comfortable. Hope it's a warmer day-the wind whipping through the theatre district can be brutal sometimes. Can't say I miss that part of seeing a show in the winter!

Elaine....I don't do one room at a time usually. I do closets and drawers and then go back and do other things.
I think I will start in the kitchen today. some of the bigger cupboards have things hiding in the back....no idea what

Paula, I think that sounds great! I'm partial to shorter skirts with boots myself, but shrimpy me just doesn't do well in long skirts. But I love the whole skirt & boot thing!

Nancy, the closets and drawers have been gone through... it's the rest of the room that is just yuck. It's the one room I let become the junk room and it's the only room I have totally avoided since I quit. It's gotten to me though enough to get it done!

Elaine...the custody comment was meant to be funny! His dad laughed when I told him what I thought. Though Jar did try to make up for it, he was extra good last night when he got home from dad's house and then he was an angel this morning for my mom. Though, tonight could be back to the old ways!!

I was supposed to clean out the office last week, but getting sick put a big damper on that. I had set aside wed. and thurs. to do it, but those were the sick days. Oh well, there is always next summer!! hehehe

gotta go eat lunch (lasagna complements of Mrs. Stouffer!!)

Afternoon, all. Just back from Neil's IEP-2+ hours. Good meeting, new placement begins tomorrow. The SED coordinator is a doll, she suggested eval for gifted and talented after seeing the test scores. Reading were all 7th grade and higher (spelling was 11.2 grade), so it makes sense. He just isn't ready for the large classroom setting.

I have my doctor's appt at 3, so that kinda killed my cleaning plans for today. I might be decadent and head over to get the first strawberry shortcake of the season. Oh, how I love those strawberries!

Lainey, short skirts + NYC + winter=frozen Lainey! Trust me on that one!

Nancy, sounds like you clean the way I usually do!

Gotta make some doctor's appointments and call that blasted lawyer. I tried calling him yesterday and got a weird message "your call is not permitted". Huh? Yep, STILL waiting on landlord's security deposit.

I managed to get everything planned out, well with the exception of what I will be wearing whilst wogging, stillnot certain about that weather thing. Tonight after work I must cram the suitcase and carry on.

I am going so slow today. Only got about 5 cupboards done....3 were very large ones though and I did reload and inventory all my spices and herbs. That is actually quite fun.
Trying to find somewhere to store all my silicone bakeware
I think I need to actually get rid of some things

Oh trust me, I wear them when it's below zero here... I just prefer them. Years of Catholic schooling make my legs numb to the cold

I'm having trouble posting here, so just know this afternoon I got hit physically... gave up for a while. The room has waited, it can wait longer
Lily, I actually have learned how to trash things! And I've gotten much better at organizing. So I presume half will be trashed and that will be good enough!

Eh, just a headache, but a miserable one right now. Hopefully sleep will help.

Hope you had fun playing on he computer. I am still trying to look up stuff for a certain trip I was going to look to see what the DIS boards had to say about a couple of things but of course the server busy kept getting in my way :rolleys:

In case I don't stop in tomrrow morning, I am going first thing to go car shopping with my dad. Wish us luck!

Well - Nancy's DD's curse of the car being broken into has struck MY DD!

First night back at her apartment at college and her car was broken into and her stereo/CD player (between $300-$400) was stolen. Plus one CD in the player. Dash and also console were trashed pretty badly as well.

They also broke into another car in the parking lot and smashed a window in that car and took the stereo.

Oh no, Pam.....terrible isn't it.
On the first break in, Christin lost her CD player.
Got another.
On the break in on graduation morning......her second was taken and all her CDs. She had them all in her car About 100 of them. She has not replaced most of the CDs or the player.
Her car is still in the shop for the ignition/column damage. Sure hope it is done soon.
Good luck to your DD, Pam. I think Christin is becoming a pro at filing police reports
She has also had her purse stolen twice.
