Howdy. Two days in a row off here, so I'm very happy the kids don't go back until Tuesday.

Kevin is playing Zelda again (yes, Alan, that's in the game

) but requests some good pizza at the place up the block.
It was a nice New Year's, and then I actually woke up before the alarm went off at 7am yesterday. I had a nice little contest with my staff-we wagered on what time the first customer would walk in the door. Then the winner got a huge Hershey bar and a little certificate I made.

The first person walked in at 10:45, mainly because she'd come down for coffee from the shop that was still closed! Most of the other stores didn't open until noon, and some didn't even open. Mall management had sent out a newsletter on Monday afternoon saying that we'd be closed. Hmm, think you can give more heads up than that?
Rosemary, it is a bit brisk here and windy, too. We were thinking of Sea World today, but decided we'll go tomorrow. I'm in my thermals and I snuggled under the flannel quilt last night!

at the rest of the gang turning their fans at Florida.
Alan, you could have invited the rest of us to share in your lucky meal!
Amanda, Back to peace and quiet and a less hectic schedule, good deal! We need to get to organizing and sorting here soon. I'm closer to you on the pitch front (or rather, lemme eBay it) and Ed's very sentimental and attached to things.
Sherry, that break sounds like it was lots of fun (well, except for the sick J) and hopefully the nephew will go easy on you.
Kimmar, so where are the Florida pictures?
Beth, we only have passes to Busch Sea World, so doing one of the other things sounds perfect to me. Though I do have two days left on the 3day pass that have to be used by February 2nd.
Tara, the Apps and drinks were good. We had plenty to share. I think I'll do that again next year. The late lunch made a big meal unappealing. At least now I can plan the appetizers out ahead of time and do a better job of it. Someone is saying he's going to put the leftover crab dip into popovers, though.
Kristy, and Pam, Happy New Year to you ladies, too!
Elaine, I hope things are moving along nicely for your little guy.
Well, I'd better hurry and get dressed. Lunch ends at 2pm at the place up the block.
