Suzanne - I love my beetle. But now you have me worried about the touch up paint. What color beetle do you have? I have Mellow Yellow with a black convertible top. Go ahead and PM me about where you work....I am just curious.....I am a substitute teacher for high school. Yes, I love teens!!!

Elaine - I hope you day ended better that it started

Amanda - I don't think boys ever grow up. So what was on that Christmas list?

Alan - Have fun at school tomorrow. It sounds like a wonderful day.

Todd - Of course I had that top down. I have to enjoy this Indian Summer!!!

Pam - OMG....my Pammy.......come here my high stepping, boot kicking buddy.....should we dance/march in the Veteran's Day Parade this year? Wonder what kind of costumes Beth can come up with this time. I really didn't like the pointed bras with tassles that we wore last year? One of my tassles was bigger than the other and well, it just didn't look right.

Kimmar - how did your day go?

Tara - have a good night's sleep

As for me and my house, we are all going to bed. Some are using the vaporizer and snuggling with their favorite stuff animals and others are enjoying the peace and quiet of a bed without the DH (I do miss him but sometimes he snores!!) Got to take care of my 18 year old DD. Nighty Night :wave2:

Betty, I have a limited edition color, hence the trouble in getting paint. Could be worse-if I'd ordered one of the 'internet' colors, I'd be out of luck.

Lainey, Beaches and Cream is a darn good burger and I'd normally say it's the best, but the one at LeCellier had a perfect charring on it. Yes, I am a serious burger hound-when they're good ones. Fresh patties always win out for me. :)

Todd, how picky are you? Trust me, my boy can beat any other picky there is. Granted, I'm doing well for the mom of an aspie-he's not so bad that he only eats wonder bread with skippy smooth and smuckers grape with crust cut off and cut into triangle. Yep, I've heard of that. Oy!

Alan, have fun with the girls. I'm taking the boys over to a nearby elementary school for a cub scout Veterans Day/flag retirement ceremony. They've very excited because they get to wear their uniforms to school afterwards.

Todd and Amanda :rotfl: . Suppose I shouldn't laugh, Ed and I have been known to IM each other from across the room.

yeah! What she said!! :teeth:

Gotta get my scrap stuff together before I leave today...not coming home before I hit the store. Would like to finish last year's book before this year's trip!! hehehe

I have a Parent Teacher conference at 8 this morning (for Jar)
I have a meeting at 9 for my science department ( this is where they tell me that I need to keep up with them  )
I have a meeting at 10 for something called United Streaming. Not sure what it is but I have to attend at least 1 one hour waste of time today so I chose this one! Could be worse, some of my friends have all day meetings...blech!!!

I'll check in after I'm meetinged to death!! hugs to all!
tara

Morning!

No school today for the boys. I got to sleep in 45 minutes extra today. Gotta watch nephew so had to be up earlier. I would rather be in my nice warm bed. :rolleyes1

The Nativity Story was a really good movie. :thumbsup2 We all really enjoyed it (family and a friend came along).

Alan, have fun at the girls school today.

Betty, enjoy that convertible. Today would be a nice day to drop that top down! :teeth: Maybe someday in the far future I'll be able to have one. :teeth:

Amanda, yay! I'll let Junior know I'm going to FL with y'all. I'm sure he won't mind. ;) :teeth:

Hi Pam!!

Tara, yuck on all the meetings. Have fun scrapping!!

Just got a call from Junior........gotta run the iPod headphones to him at work. :rolleyes1 :teeth:

  to everyone I missed!!

Suzanne...Todd and I don't see each other Mon-Fri. So email and phone are our life to stay connected. The girls thought I wouldn't know he told them 'no friends' this week due to their name calling. I am sure they wish we didn't have cell phones or email :rotfl:

Sherry...How sweet of you. Although I think Todd would be out of luck if it were me. 25 minutes each way isn't work headphones. I hope Junior works close to your house.

Alan...enjoy the day at your girls' school.

Betty...All games, except the radio.

Todd...I did see the radio was marked down. Still a bit high.

Terrific Friday to everyone!

Good Morning!

First, I would like to thnk everybody for the kind words and well wishes with all the Barko issues. He is no longer in pain and I am sure romping with lots of little furry friends  The hard part is that he is not here. Greg is having a really tough time with this. I miss the baby too, and it is SO quiet without the little pitter patter of paws on a wood floor. A new puppy may be in our future....but time will tell...as well as heal our aching hearts. Again, thanks to all for al the pm's, kind words and just plain putting up with me for the last few weeks as we dealt with this.

Sounds like everybody is really getting into the swing of Christmas. What fun. Ithink we all better take a look at Todd'd Christmas list....

Amanda, not sure if I said it earlier...but Congrats on the new job!! When do you start? You must be so excited!! Oh, and I have made LOTS of your chocolate chip cookies :guilty: My hips really don't like them...but my tummy does :thumbsup2

Yeah Sherry for sleeping in! I did that this morning too...well kind of. I went to be last night shrtly after 8 and didn't get up until I wanted too...but really how much after 5 can you sleep when you go to bed at 8 :lmao:

Tara, I think you need a break from all of those meetings today. Sounds like pure torture! But the scrapping stuff later sounds like a good time! Enjoy!

Suzanne, have fun with the boys this morning! Sorry I missed your call....I went to bed rather early last night......when do you start the new job by the way?

Betty, going around toples with uneven tassles...well I never! Greg and I keeo talking about that new Pontiac retractable hardtop G6..they are even running lease deals on them now...and I NEED a new car...oh wouldn't that be nice! One can dream. How is your sickie? Hopefully feeling better. And how was having the bed all to yourself minus snoring? I know I slept well and I feel great this morning because of it!!

 Kimmie~ What is new with you?

Alan, sounds loke you have a perfect day planned there! Enjoy!! I am sure the girls will enjoy a nice day with their Daddy!

Hey Todd! You would not believe all the birds I have seen this morning. I put out a new feeder with the black oiler sunflower seeds, and I have a ton of new birds here. I had a very pretty, but mean bluejay....all of the 4 cardinals and some little birds that I have to figure out what they are. They are almost a dark blue or black/blue color on their heads and have the whitest little bodies....very pretty birds. I had a little suprize yesterday when I got home :furious: The feeder I had out with the wild bird mix in it was on the ground with a squirel feasting on the food. Not sure if he was the culprit in getting the feeder down, or if the rope just broke. I have never seen any squirels by the feeder, and the rope was really not that strong. Greg is going to wire it up for me like the other feeder is and we will see what happens with that. I think in the spring we will get a bird bath for the yard too. I just love all these birds! I bet I get a few more feeders too!

 Pammy! How are things with you? Hope all is well and your menfolk get you are dear or two this year!!

Hey Elaine! Hope you have a better day today. Blah days are never fun! How is that "little empanda" doing? Hope you are feeling well and enjoying being preggers!

Hi Paula, RoseMary, Lily and to anyone I may have missed! Gonna go and get a shower and then get ready for the day. Today I have to score ssome tickets for the neices for High School Musical and get a bunch of work done. I have been working from home this past week, and I have LOTS to catch up on!

Happy Veterans Day one and all!!

Sunday.....I promise I will sit down for a nice visit on Sunday! Too many things going on right now, no time. Gotta get to work and charge up the cell phone.

  Liz So sorry I missed your call.

Hope everyone has a great day :grouphug:

Quick little hi here... I have to go check in on a friend's diabetic cat today while she is out of town. Then going to the grocery store. Doing better today, just was highly annoyed with things getting in my way. Blame it on the hormones ;)

I will be back to do a real post a wee bit later.

...do you have to give it meds??? My girlfriend's sister [from schoo] has a diabetic cat, too, and when she goes on business trips, my girfriend has to give it insulin ....

Junior now has his headphones and is a happy camper. :teeth:

Amanda, he works about 20 minutes away, so not too bad. :teeth:

Liz, glad you were able to sleep so well.

Elaine, grocery store is in the cards for me, too. The boys decided they want tacos for dinner, so I need to go get all the stuff.

Hi Kimmar! Didn't watch the game, but heard about it on GMA.

...it was such a good game, even if you aren't a football fan....

Blame it on them now!!! It's a great excuse!! I try and blame it on them now...but no one believes me  :teeth:

9am meeting was moved to 11am. Not sure why but oh well!! So I am here getting ready to get some work done.

Have fun guys!!

Morning!

Just back from a Flag retirement ceremony that the scouts did at another elementary school. It was very cool to witness. Pictures may be uploaded later, I'll share if we do.

However, I got up gosh darn too early for the boys to be present and in full class A's, so I'm thinking a nap is in order.

Back later...

tacos for dinner

YUMMM!! That sounds so yummy~ Can you grab me the fixins too? The Taurus of Terror is in the shop today and I am carless.....after all, you did bring JR his headphones :rotfl2:

Good Morning

Suzanne - do you have cute green color? A friend of DD has it and she had trouble getting paint when someone backed into her car.

Tara - if you like I could be your new secretary and you can just say ditto if I make a good post. Have fun at your meetings this morning

Sherry - I hope you have a great day with your boys. Didn't Junior offer to take you out to dinner tonight since you brought his headphones in? Make tacos for the boys and have Junior repay you for that trip.

Amanda - Any kind of communication is good. When my 2 kids were in high school it was not uncommon for me to instant message them that dinner was ready. They would be upstairs in their room with their doors closed and listening to music while doing homework.

Liz - I saw that Pontiac. It is nice. I wanted/needed a front wheel drive convertible because of our driveway and snow. But go get that NEW car. Thanks for asking about DD, she is still sleeping. When we got home she pleaded with me to go buy Cars....so today we will be watching that movie. She has seen it twice and I haven't seen it at all. You would think that she was toddler needing to be taken care of but nope, she is 18. I guess they never get too old.

Beth - See you Sunday

Elaine - you are such a sweetie to check on the cat. Now can you come here and help me collect Princess Pee Pee? Just kidding

Kimmar - Wallpaper Work? I have only done borders, so I envy your talent. Oh and my DS saw Rutgers this past fall when Rutgers played OU. He said the campus was beautiful. He does filming for the Ohio University football team and travels with them.

Well, the sickie is still sleeping and I need to take a urine sample to the vet. A mother's work is never done!!!

I STILL need my popsicles and to be ULTRA babied when I am sick, and I am WELL beyond 18...

BTW....Suzanne's car is "Stitch" blue :lmao:

Liz...Did you get your tickets? I wish it has been a Saturday I would have been there.

When sick I just want to be left alone and not hear a sound. Makes it easy on Todd :teeth:

Betty...girls grow out of it, it is the boys that don't. :rotfl:

Sherry...I agree. Night out for you and Junior  or he can give you a night a pampering at home.

later!

Amanda - my DH is like you. He goes to his room when feeling sick and doesn't come out for anything or anyone. However, when I am sick I was still expected to be mommy. That just doesn't seem fair. My DS is like his dad and doesn't want to be bothered......
